Great Italian restaurant for a date night!

Friendly service, amazing Italian food, great vibes. Give it a try if you like Italian food! A lot of vegetarian options as well!

We ordered:
- black truffle ravioli - 20/10 just order it. Try it. It was amazing! If I had to pick 1 item on the menu to eat again and again, it would be this.
- spicy tomato angel hair pasta - 7/10 it was ok. It was def fresh but I wouldn't order again. It lacked salt and overall flavor.
- Rossi di montalcino wine - 10/10 try this red wine next time. It was around $40 for a bottle and it was really good Italian

Nice decor but the food doesn't hold a candle to the Half Way Club!
Calamari steak is worth a look.....

We went their In a large group for an anniversary celebration. The service, food and staff was superb. The ambience could be better, hence the 4 stars not 5.

The wine selection was decent. I tried the bruschetta, bulletini pizza, baked rigatoni and tiramisu. Loved it all!!

We really wanted to like it, especially since it's so close to where we live, but it was simply meh. We ordered a personal pepperoni pizza and the chicken parmigiana but neither were impressive. There were not enough toppings on the pizza, and the chicken parmigiana was overcooked and slightly burnt. The spaghetti noodles were clearly from a box and the sauce was bland. The service was good and the ambience was okay but the prices were a bit too high for the area and the relatively mid-level quality food.

Place was amazing. The food was great. The only issue was it was towards the end of the night an the employees became very un attentive. We sat for over 20 mins waiting on our check to pay.

Went for my birthday dinner hosted by my kids. Was disappointed by both service and food. Rubbery shrimp scampi with virtually no sauce. Veal dish was dry and unappetizing in appearance. Melted cheese appetizer and garlic bread were the highlights, even the cake was dry and almost flavorless. Servers kept piling things on the table without removing finished plates. I felt bad that it was so expensive for such a basic meal.

A hidden gem for Italian food in Reno. The gluten free pasta is made in house infused with vegetable juices of the day. Highly recommend tthe beet or spinach gf pasta with vodka sauce. There spaghetti Bolognese is also quite amazing too. All pasta are made in house and you can tell. They also have an amazing fresh burrata and warm bread with organic olive oil and balsamic . In case, you're short on time they have to go fresh made sauces and pasta that you can take and go and cook at home. The owner and the staff are very friendly. Open for lunch and closed then reopening for dinner.

First time going there and good tiramisu food was good as well! Service was good too. It's hard to find good service these days so it is nice when you do get good service.

Soooo glad we found this place! We love Johnny's and were delighted to find out this is owned by the Cassinari family. Delicious food and wonderful attentive service. We called to make a last minute reservation the night before Thanksgiving and were so happy they had room for us. The whole meal down to the bread, was absolutely fantastic! I had a salad (house salad) entree and dessert(Tiramisu a must!). I had the spicy angel hair with blackened chicken, my boyfriend had the baked rigatoni, my dad had the porcini and truffle ravioli and my bonus mom had the blackened salmon. She loved it so

La Cucina is an Italian restaurant with a good selection and the did was amazing and is highly recommended. The service was very good, we got there and all seats were taken but the server offered a glass of wine while we wait and there was a seat available in a few minutes. Would recommend making a reservation as those place is frequented by many.

OMG! Why have I been searching for 20 years and just now found this place. I loved everything about our visit there. The food is very tasty and fairly priced. Couple that with the awesome family atmosphere, I was very pleased. So far, hands down the best Italian place I've eaten at in Reno. Next time I've gotta try the lasagna?

I had the baked penne with meatballs, very good, along with the spaghetti Bolognese. Both are really good. Good service with fresh bread cheese and pepper table side. The bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar was really scrumptious. I started with the sausage and potato soup; really big chunks of vegetables and a very hearty soup that was very much appreciated. I have a nice wine list, but I wasn’t up for wine today. Will definitely be back! Also got an order to go.

Went in there today for a late lunch, I was greeted by happy staff and sat down promptly. We started off with the complementary bread and to be honest it was pretty cold, not stale but just cold. I had the New York Steak and Alfredo pasta and it was amazing! I was expecting a pretty dry and bland steak but it was exploding with flavor and yummy juices! The Alfredo pasta was creamy and overall 10/10. Overall great experience.

Everything was sooooo delicious! The waitress was great! The food was great! I was very happy.

The only reason it has 4 stars... We were there for 2 and a half hours, as there was a bit of a wait for our food and desserts.

Definitely will be back!

We dined here last night for my daughter's 5th birthday. She wanted "passketi" and we don't really dig the chain restaurants. As a couple, we have been to Johnny's and LOVED it, so this seemed like a good family-friendly option.

While the restaurant is nicely decorated, there is still a more chill vibe here. My daughter was presented with a kids menu and, voila, crayons! Their kids menu is large and varied, definitely a plus when we are bringing our little one out.

She had the mama sketti (noodles with butter and plenty of parmesan). We had a ceasar salad and the parmesan

This place is awesome! Our lunch dining experience was excellent! The staff was all friendly, the restaurant was very clean, and the service was great. My wife and I made a reservation for 1pm but we arrived early and they seated us immediately. Our waiter was very nice, the food was excellent, and the portions sizes were good. We had baked rigatoni, fettuccine Alfredo, and tiramisu for dessert. Heck ya,
we will definitely be back!

I had only heard good things about this place and when my friend suggested we go, I jumped at the chance, especially considering that it's "related" to the legendary Johnny's Ristorante Italiano, of which I'm a HUGE fan (read my Yelp review).

We had 7pm reservations and arrived only a couple of minutes early.

Hans, who wound up being our waiter, seated us with food and drink menus.
His service during the course of our meal was top notch and on point without being overbearing (which is always a pet peeve of mine).

Warm, soft bread with oil and balsamic vinegar was a great

We were searching for a quick Italian meal near kietzkie lane, and this place popped into our minds. We know this restaurant is an affiliate of the famous Johnny's little Italy, and it delivered as such. I ordered the chicken parmigiana, and my girlfriend ordered the rigatoni Isabella, both were delicious! Good service and a great overall experience. We will be back!

What a disappointment! We have loved Johnny’s restaurant for our special dinners, so what could go wrong?? Before I go any farther, the food was good. My problem, one of most inattentive server I have had in a very long time.
We met our daughter and her fiancé for lunch to discuss their upcoming wedding. We were seated outside in their garden area, which is nice. The first thing I noticed was the wobbling table, it was very loose.
The server came out and took our order, completely devoid of a personality and walked off. Due to the sun, we requested to sit in a Mose shady table. Once moved

Got the extra star for being so welcoming to us arriving 30 minutes before they close.

Covid table spacing and masks/gloves observed here. In and outdoor seating. Friendly service.

Wines by the glass. Beer. Even port wine.

Good variety of well made dishes. The calamari steak I had was crispy on the outside with substantial happy thick pieces.

There is complimentary oval bread served with oil & vinegar.

A classy, spacious restaurant.

I've driven by this place hundreds of times and had heard it was a cousin of the famous "Johnny's" in downtown.

It was the first date night since February so it was exciting!

When we arrived there were a few people doing pickup, so that looked promising. It was reservation only there because they had the tables spread out inside and out.
The place was actually pumping, I think people just needed some time out and away from home. One thing that has always annoyed me is Very Loud customers. I mean do they actually think
that drunkenly yelling isn't interesting to us?
