Arguably the best Italian in town. Excellent food and service. Wonderful ambiance. One of my all time favorites in a town of excellent restaurants. Oso Bucco is over the top! Caesar salad. Great wine list and beer selection. Just all around wonderful! Hidden gem in Scottadale. If you haven't been you need to go. Support the local people who make our town....

A bit of rocky start as I arrived around 6:00pm as a single diner. The hostess offered me seating in the empty bar but I asked for the dining room. She said they were booked up but a very nice older gentleman intervened and pointed out a table where I was "reluctantly" sat. The waiter was prompt with his arrival although I had to ask for his name. The bread was good but an option to be offered to order olive oil and vinaigrette would have been a nice touch beyond just the wrapped butter. What a wonderful night out! My husband and I went there for the 1st time. We met the owner immediately who was inviting and kind. They were running short staffed (as everyone is nowadays) and he was waiting tables. So pleasant and explanatory. The kitchen produced wonderful, flavorful food. The bread was served warm, minestrone soup delicious and hot, freshly tossed Ceaser's salad and a wonderful plate of chicken Marsala. Even the house Cab was delicious. Bottom line...excellent food, caring owners that want to get to know you and all in a quiet, charming atmosphere. We will be regulars

Best Italian restaurant in Scottsdale!!
We've eaten here for years and it never disappoints! The veal was so tender that you could cut it with the side of your fork and the Caesar salad was perfection! Luis, Chaz and Dorias are always extremely knowledgeable and charming! The restaurant has a very low key ambiance and feels so comfortable! This place is a treasure!!!!

We are new true believers in this wonderful restarurant. My wife and I purchased a discount card at Costco and tried La Toretta for the first time tonight. It was marvelous. The food came out flavorful and hot. The wine selection was great and was served with a large, healthy pour. The owner of the restaurant, Darius and his girlfriend were our servers. They made us feel welcome and as part of the family. The really cool part is seeing how they knew their guests at the other tables as well. Everyone else has known of this fabulous place and we were the newbies. Nevertheless, the next time we return

We had a delicious dinner at La Torretta. We had the bruschetta, cheese ravioli with marinara, pesto spaghetti with chicken, pasta fagioli, and the halibut special. There was no wait to be seated. The service was excellent and they were willing to make modifications or fix any dish we desired. The food had a lot of flavor and was delicious! Highly recommend.

A friend and I went to La Torretta by happy serendipity. It was within walking distance of our Motel, so it was an easy choice. And what a happy choice it was. The restaurant itself was lovely, quiet (no raucous bar crowd, TV, boisterous diners, etc.). Our waiter, Darius, was friendly, personable, knowledgeable about the items on the menu, attentive without asking 20 times during the meal "How's everything?". We had a fantastic meal, and a relaxing evening. Will highly recommend that you treat yourself to a tasty and delightful evening at this restaurant.

I stumbled upon this restaurant by accident. I noticed many diners seemed to be regulars. I also noticed the older gentleman serving the tables was probably the owner. The menu also wasn't flashy and they were missing all the modern crazy concoction cocktails. This is when I confirmed this was a local independent mom and poo type of restaurant. Wow one of the few in Scottsdale. Service was amazing. Food was delicious. What made it so special is you could tell the owners worked the floor loved their restaurant and diners. Everyone needs to support this restaurant.

We went while on vacation. We should have seen the red flag of no customers in the restaurant at 7:30pm. The gentleman that seated and served us was pleasant. The food was terrible! I got the daily special of spinach and sausage stuffed shells. The sausage had a funky taste and the sauce tasted like a jar or maybe canned sauce. I only ate the pasta shells. My husband had the ricotta tortellini in parmesan cream sauce with mushrooms. It tasted like mushroom soup. The chicken in it was hard and inedible. Will not be back.

Darius was fun, witty and sarcastic, I loved it. Our food was amazing. My husband ordered the Bolognese with spaghetti, sausage, and meatballs. I let Darius figure out what I wanted to eat, lol. He had the chef prepare a dish that consisted of penne pasta, sausage, chicken with a spicy tomato sauce, it was fabulous! We had no complaints about this amazing adventure of flavors.
I do you have to mention Chaz, I loved his interaction with people he was so appreciative and kind.

I have not written a review in awhile because nothing has really stood out enough to catch my attention. I'm so glad we chose this restaurant. I have been wanting to come here for the last 2 years. I will definitely be back, sooner than later. First, I called to make a reservation and the gentleman had a kind voice and knew how to pronounce my last name when I spelled it out for him. Not many do. So that alone was impressive. Then he ended the call by saying we "appreciate" you. I love that word and I think it's more meaningful than just a "thank you". The same gentleman

Classy cozy spot with lasagna so good it will make you think your Grandma was Italian. Thin lasagna noodles and portion sized to feed any appetite or easy to share. Also try the Veal Parmigiana. Owner was hilarious, and spoke like he was a familiar friend. Cannoli's for dessert were the perfect ending to our two hours at dinner. We will be back.

They give you bread & some type of oil which is good & flavorful. But we also asked for butter & it taste so good with butter & the oil.
We got the chicken parmigiana & the chicken marsala the chicken was huge for both plates. You can customize your plate which I didn't know, the server only told us after. Like less mushrooms for the chicken marsala and if you don't want veggies you can substitute it for potatoes which you definitely need more for the marsala.
