Service was good, but our mains (the veal and the ny strip) were so greasy we could barely eat it. Dessert (profiteroles and creme brûlée) were middling to poor. Pretty surprised because I have friends who’ve visited in the past and have had very positive experiences, not sure if there’s been staff changes due to the pandemic. Overall, not the worst meal I’ve had but the low quality was surprising given how expensive it was. I’ve had much better meals at other local restaurants with similar vibes/concepts for less, so we won’t return. Overall: underwhelming food and not a good value

Start with a dirty daddy/momma martini (blue cheese stuffed olives🤤), order a filet or the salmon and DONT SKIP THE MASHED POTATOES, end with profiteroles (a cream puff with Belgian chocolate sauce) and you will leave extremely satisfied.

Amazing service and Amazing food. Bill is the best (or one of the best) servers, ask for him. I took my mom and aunt and sister here for a birthday celebration and it was fantastic. We can’t stop talking about the food and service. It has renewed my faith in restaurants.
You walk in and the smell captivates your and the decor is warm and inviting.
My family had the prefixed menu and loved the steak and Asian chicken dish. I had the filet with blue cheese. No longer will I go to Sullivans. This is the place.
Dirty martini was made to perfection with ice chips. Wine selection was on point. The

Great place! Super friendly and attentive staff. Food was awesome. Great location - people on the north side of Raleigh don't need to go downtown to have a great dining experience - it's right here.

Reserved the private dining for 25 guests. They know how to treat a guest well. The food was spot on, the appetizers were excellent. Service was a high light as they were always where we needed them. Great place!

In a city where there is always a new restaurant to try, Margaux has been a constant. I recently dined there with my girlfriends and had the best night. Servers had smiles, food was delicious, everything was clean.

Thank you to the staff at Margaux that shows up to keep this a constant in our community. We know it's tough right now, but we appreciate you all!

All staff was very nice! Food was really sub par. Appetizer shrimp had a strong fish smell. Beef skewer and sirloin tasted exactly alike. Sirloin had huge piece of gristle that had to be spit out. Plates were burning hot but food was barely warm on entrees. General Tsos chicken was super sour. Could not eat. Mashed potatoes were the highlight of the meal. Bread for table tasted fresh, but soggy as if placed in basket and left to sit. Cocktail was delicious and chilled perfectly but running over the glass and spilling everywhere all over server's hands, table, my hands.

We had an amazing time at Margaux’s. There is a reason why the restaurant has been there for 30 years. The atmosphere, the service, the food all absolutely fabulous. Specifically ask for Mandy because she’s the best! We forgot out leftovers and she called us so we wouldn’t forget them. She is so awesome!! This restaurant is the best restaurant I’ve been to in Raleigh - and I’ve been living here for over 20 years.

So romantic and delicious. Excellent wait staff and chef creativity. Loved that as a gluten and nut free visitor I could enjoy the three course options with ease. It made my evening about my anniversary and a restful evening out to eat versus worrying over the menu or feeling limited. Way to go chef on a diverse menu it made my year!

This restaurant has a cool concept and great decor. Everything was fantastic including the menu, large selection of Fish and meats of all price ranges. Bill was very enthusiastic about the French onion soup, it was good but not the best. They offer several preparations of filet and have a daily menu, I settled for the Antelope which was delicious. The antelope was great served with curry aioli and was super lean and not very gamey. We look forward to returning if we are in the area again

Great place for a special occasion like we did for our anniversary. Rotating menu keeps things seasonal and interesting, but you can always rely on a few favorites like oysters, creme brûlée, or their 3 course pre-set menu for $25pp if you can get there before 6. It's on the pricier side for a la carte but worth it for the right dishes. We got the rack of lamb and ahi tuna on the regular menu and both were fantastic. There is also a great patio area if you're trying to dine outdoors. Only negative is we had to wait quite a while for drinks and coffee, espresso and dessert came out at

After searching high and low for a special place to celebrate our 30th anniversary we chose Margaux's. We made a reservation online and included a note it was our 30th, not expecting much, just an acknowledgement... The hostess seated us right away, at the bottom of the stairway in the main walkway-seriously!! No, thanks, we'll take the booth, there were several empty seatings and most remained empty during our meal.
Service was great, the atmosphere was unique, the drinks were on point, the calamari was the best!! the rack of lamb with garlic and goat cheese was superb!!! Not to mention the rustic

This was our first time there and definitely not the last. Great food selection. It was a group outing and everyone enjoyed their food. There are some selections that you will not find anywhere else. The portions were more than enough and they all had great flavor. There was a good selection of wines by the bottle as well as by the glass. The server was very attentive and provided good recommendations. I would definitely recommend this restaurant

I've been to Margaux's twice now and both times I have not been disappointed. On the menu you will find an eclectic mix of seafood, beef, chicken and rarities such as lamb shank and quail. Their always present 3-course prix fixe menu is a great way to try some of their best meals and not burn a hole in your wallet. Be sure to peruse their extensive wine list to find the perfect pairing for your meal. Their wait staff are very attentive and knowledgeable, so don't hesitate to get their take on the restaurant's many options. This place is quickly moving up on my list of favorite

The food was delicious- we shared the crab cake appetizer, my associate had the risotto and I had the swordfish. Unfortunately, I became so severely ill in the early morning hours that I had to go to the hospital. I had severe food poisoning! It's 24 hours later and I feel somewhat better, but still not great. I called to tell the manager today and I was told he would call me back, but no call so far. I'm hoping the rectify this issue with what I assume was the swordfish. Be very careful with what you order there. I should have read why they scored a 98 health score.

This restaurant is phenomenal FAR beyond the food and service!!!!! My purse tipped over and my airpods fell out of the case and onto the floor. I got to the airport and realized I only had the case, Margaux's found them, kept them and MAILED them to my address...This was beyond a life saver...I can't even describe the kindness of this restaurant and employees to go out of their way, spend $4.21and send them to me in a padded envelope for safety. Excellent dinner and service that night. I will always always go back to Margaux's when I'm in Raleigh.

I'm giving this restaurant three stars based off the food we ordered .

Waiter: When you go definitely ask for Stephanie! She definitely gets 5 stars! She was great, personable, friendly, vibrant, and on top of everything.

Atmosphere: cozy and eclectic

Drinks:
Strawberry margarita w/ casamigos reposado : too sweet and too much syrup mixture.

Wine: Bordeaux : not sure the name but it was the only one! It was full of body!

Appetizer:

Love potion #9 (sushi) it was okay ! The rolls were on the smaller side but they had flavor.

French onion soup : so delicious! Not a traditional French

We came here for restaurant week, otherwise I don't know if we would've driven all the way out here from Clayton.

Anyway, it was a 3 course meal option. I chose the fried green tomato, salmon, and brownie for dessert. My husband got the shrimp pasta, but all the rest of the same. The bread was really good, and they were forth coming with it. I will say, I'm not a big salmon eater and I really enjoyed their salmon. It had no fishy taste at all. The appetizer and desserts were good.

One problem... they brought my husband food and it had a rock in it. He could've cracked a

It has been way too long since we've been to this North Raleigh gem. Have always loved that their menu changes seasonally and is varied, and have taken advantage of and appreciated their early bird weekday specials.

Thankfully a private event brought us in to reintroduce us to outstanding service and food. I don't know I've been to a private party at a restaurant where everything was so perfect. Stephanie and Trey took excellent care of us from drinks and appetizers to dessert. Their service was so professional in the most charming, fun, welcoming way! If these two hate their

What a wonderful dining experience! My husband and I decided last minute to try Margaux's for our anniversary. The outdoor seating area in front of the entrance was very lively yet had an intimate feel. Inside the restaurant, the decor is very eclectic (they are putting out their Halloween decor as well!) and the lighting is dim. The ambiance is very relaxed but there's an upscale elegance about it...it just felt so right. Our server, Stephani, was delightful and so helpful.

We started with the fried calamari, which was fried just right and had two of the most complimentary sauces ever

My wife and I came on a Wednesday evening at around 5:30, because we had heard their Prix Fixe Menu was only $25 before 6:30pm on weekdays. We weren't disappointed!

I started with their Wino Wednesday deal, which paired a wine with some cheeses. I'm not a wine connoisseur, but I appreciated the sav blanc, and the cheeses were excellent.

Here's what we ordered from the Prix Fixe Menu:

First Course:
I ordered the Crab Cake with cabbage slaw, which I really enjoyed. The flavors in the crab cake were spot-on, and paired well with the creamy slaw. I was wavering between the fried
