Adobe Veterinary Clinic has been serving the east valley since 1975. Dr. Greg Heitman purchased the clinic in 1988 and it has been a family business ever since. Adobe exclusively treats dogs and cats and the care includes preventative and internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, microchipping, grooming and boarding.

Our staff includes 3 veterinarians, 8 veterinary technicians/assistants, 4 receptionists, an office manager, a groomer, and a bather. Dr. Greg was raised in Colorado and graduated in 1984 from Colorado State University.
Adobe is a full service veterinary clinic that provides comprehensive health care from puppies to seniors. We start vaccinations for the prevention of many serious life threatening diseases at 6-8 weeks of age and vaccinate every 3 weeks until about 15-16 weeks. Routine spays and neuters for puppies are performed anytime after 5 months of age.
Susan has been with Adobe Veterinary Clinic for going on a year now and has been a groomer for over 28 years. She is a recent transplant from Michigan and enjoys spending time with her 2 hairless sphinx cats named Suede and Velour. Grooming with Susan includes cut, bath, brush, nail trim, anal gland expression, ear cleaning and teeth brushing.

My wife and I have been clients of Dr Heitman and his Son for the past 14 years. They have treated us like family,in healing and times of grief..Quality care with a warm heart!! We have Care available much closer to our home but make the drive because this level of care is hard to find. My adult children and clients trust in the Heitman family.

The doctors and staff here are competent and compassionate. We bring our two doxies here for regular and routine care, and they see them for emergent issues occasionally as well. You will do well to your pets to bring them here for care, and you will do well to yourself to know they are getting the best care they can receive.

About 5 years ago my Cairn Terrier developed some odd behavior so I brought him to see Dr. Phil who did tests and ruled out Cushings and diabetes, and made some suggestions for care going forward. I wanted to get another opinion so went to three more vet clinics (all big and well known) More testing was done with all confirming what Dr. Phil originally told me.

I understand that if myself and my puppy are new patients to your clinic that you might charge a $50 deposit for her first vaccine visit. I totally get it.
However I've kept coming back. I got all my puppy's boosters, heartguard, fecal test, and worming injection here. I feel I'm established. I have paid my bill in full every time.
I won't be back. It feels like a slap in the face to require a $75 deposit for her spay. Just disgusting.

Dr. Greg Heitman and his staff are the absolute best. They saved my dogs life. We have 2 Miniature Dachshunds puppies. Oscar & Meyer. They are brothers and are 4 months. They have had 2 rounds of shots and were over due for their 3rd and final. We noticed Oscar (who is the Dapple colored) was not acting like himself last week. We took him to Adobe Veterinary Clinic on Tuesday. I had no appointment and walked in. I was very emotional . They could tell right away that Oscar was in pretty bad shape as was I. Adobe Veterinary is awesome! We have used their services for 1-1/2 years. Each staff member acts professional, courteous and friendly. Unlike some Vet offices, Adobe is very clean. Our dog has GI issues, and they work closely with us to keep his health optimum. Thank you Dr. Phil and Dr. Ryan for your knowledge and care of Finnegan!

I have all good things to say about Adobe Vet Clinic. My two-3lb Chihuahuas Olivia (Livie) and Coconut (Coco) see Dr Phil. His dad leads the Practice so we have seen his dad as well. Both are very knowledgeable and kind. My favorite thing about Dr. Phil is, he not only examines my dogs but he goes even further to educate me on what he/she is dealing with and varying approaches to their current ailment. He discusses treatment options and gives his opinion as if it were his animal, what he would do, or how he would approach the care (tests etc), which I find very helpful as I tend to be a worry wart

I'm thrilled to have found a place like Adobe for our Fry guy! We had booked his first appt on the phone a few weeks prior which was such a quick and easy process thanks to their front desk staff.
When we arrived for our appt, we walked into a clean and comfortable lobby and got checked-in right away. Fry was a bit hyper at first but Dr. Phil gave him some treats and pets and helped him calm down and we were done with his shots in no time. Overall, Fry had a great experience and we look forward to coming back to Adobe soon for any of our dog's health and grooming needs!

I left this vet over a year ago because when my dog had some major medical issues - I could not get her in the see the vet. They sent me to the Emergency Vet ... We recently took our pit Bull to an animal hospital because he stopped eating and was losing weight very quickly. The animal hospital did nothing for us but to take blood work and send us on our way with a very sick dog. When blood work came back it showed our dog had a VERY high calcium levels that the animal hospital didn't seem to concerned about. I reached out to Dr. Phil and he immediately jumped in to request all paperwork from the animal hospital and began treating our pit bull. The whole team at Adobe Veterinary Clinic is fantastic. The Heitman’s are an incredible team of vets that really care for the pets they provide for, and they are all around great people. I’ve been taking my two Bulldogs here for years and have always felt they’ve been given excellent care. I highly recommend.

Adobe Veterinary Clinic no longer has emergency services. So when I recently took my dog in there for a similar problem as my first (glowing) review (see pic), they said they could squeeze her in the following week. The following week?! My dog needs help now! Sorry, no can do.
Okay. You don't have five minutes to work in a hurting dog - until next week? Goodbye. I'll do it myself, and save the $80 (or probably $100 for five minutes). Case closed.

I first paid a visit to Adobe Vet back in August when we adopted our girl athena(husky/akita). It was a little out of our way but the reviews were just too good. Upon arrival the receptionist was very welcoming. You can tell they loved their job and was happy to see athena(not knowing her)
During the check up and exam Dr. Heitman was very gentle in handling Athena. he was also very friendly and personable.
