I am very happy with my 1B1B apartment in Westwood Village. Unlike elsewhere in Ames, it seems like maintenance really takes care of the property. This year they replaced all the front doors and are helping me to upgrade a light fixture. The best part is that I was able to renew my lease with no increase in rent!

This is our first year at West Towne apartments and we have really enjoyed it so far! Our apartment has had some issues, but the maintenance team has been very helpful! Joe and the maintenance team recently did an awesome job replacing our kitchen flooring becuase we had holes forming under and cracking the linoleum. We are looking forward to living with haverkamp for another year.

Haverkamp Properties has cockroaches in building 4730. My roommates and I have been filing complaints since late June and our apartment wasn’t sprayed until August. We had to get the City of Ames involved in the past month to get them to schedule sprays. We were told we could upgrade apartments today which would cost $150 more and require a security deposit regardless of our situation. We took 30 minutes after talking with management to discuss what we thought as roommates and followed up, planning to sign only to be told that apartment was just sold right after we left. It has been a horrible

Management is very clearly lazy and inconsiderate. They let maintenance in your apartment without even giving a notice. Entrance doors are never locked. My key fob worked for 2 months out of 12 to get into the building so if the doors weren’t open or no roommate home. I had to find somewhere else to sleep until i could call. Mainly they don’t respect privacy. Worst experience renting I’ve ever had here in Ames. What a shame. Don’t rent from these guys. They cut corners and don’t care that you’re spending money with them.
