I have been here several times with my husband and the food has always been good. My most recent time this past Saturday when dining alone at the bar was HORRIBLE. The bartender lady was absolutely RUDE. She forgot my appetizer and was not even apologetic about it & made it seem like I was the problem. She stated I had an attitude when she told me wrong information about not being able to swap my rice for noodles.( I know you can as I have done it several times here) when I talked to the manager he stated I am able to do that and she was having a bad day. The manager was very nice and took $5 off

My first time and I decided to go adventurous and get the Swordfish which was recommended by the server. I know it's the midwest but I had high hopes with the great google reviews. Sadly, the swordfish was chewy with a strong disgusting fish smell and taste. Drowning it in the yummy sauces did not help. I had swordfish before on the coasts which was delicious and did not taste like this. They serve me old fish. I wont be returning.
On a positive note, we had an entertaining cook.

Would have been 5 stars until a guy came out and started a noisy, boisterous clean up of our area. Seemed like an invitation to leave. Food was good, atmosphere was fun till then. Would probably go back.

Everything was overcooked. The chef verified several times how we wanted our food and still came out wrong.
The medium rare filets were all severely overcooked. We didn't address it because no one wanted to ruin the good time we were having. The fried ice cream treat I received for my birthday was good.
However, I will not return.

First time coming here. It was a lot better than I expected. The chef was entertaining and cooked the food well. The only miss was, my girlfriend ordered white rice but got fried rice. We didn't mind it that much since the food was great.

Come here for lunch! They are super fast and the lunch menu prices cannot be beat. I think it's even pretty similar portion sizes to the dinner menu so why wouldn't you come for lunch and save a few bucks.
They can host large parties so bring a team! I always get extra crunchy onions in my soup, yes they will do that at no additional charge. The hibachi shrimp is my go to and it doesn't disappoint. This is one of my favorite hibachi places in town. There is one in noblesville too.

The pictures you see here are from the regular dining area. Pro tip- if you want to come during

Experience here was just okay/below average. I called and asked if they had any tables open on a Saturday since we did not have reservations. Was told it would be about 20 minutes and they took down my phone number to call when the table was ready. I asked if they needed my name and was told no, just the phone number. Not sure if it was going to be a text or an automated message, but that's fine. We get there 20 mins later and still no call so I had my fiancée go inside and ask, he was given a buzzer. 20 more minutes go by as we are still waiting in the parking lot and no call and the buzzer

This was my very first time ever experiencing a hibachi style restaurant and man, it was one of my favorite dining experiences I've ever had. The place looked amazing when you first come inside, they have a koi pond inside which was nice. Our master chef was very entertaining and made us laugh quite a bit. It was my brothers birthday and one of the employees came out beating a drum singing happy birthday and also put a sparkler type of thing on our table. Oh and the food is so good but you get so much you can't eat it all! That's the only downside is the amount of food that is made.

Best kept secret in Carmel and Westfield.
One side of building says sushi and hibachi, but it has excellent steak and seafood. Lots of fun

Came here instead of going to Izakaya and unfortunately was disappointed. The restaurant was very nice staff was friendly drinks were great as well. When it came to the actual hibachi that everyone was excited for it fell short slightly. Meaning that when food was prepared We could actually smell some of the eggs and rice burning My party and I didn't say anything because service was so friendly and very prompt. The chef could have done better and recognize that he accidentally burnt some food. I will go back to give it another try but I am hoping that we have another chef
& go earlier

We've been here a couple times now. If you enjoy hibachi then you will enjoy this place. I have a gluten allergy, they prepare gluten free foods in the back so they are safe. I really appreciate that! My children love watching the hibachi show!

This is a nice teppanyaki style restaurant with a surprisingly diverse menu. They have all of the typical hibachi items like chicken, beef and pork but they also have some interesting options like swordfish. I thought the chef was great, successfully keeping the table entertained while he cooked. The food was overall very tasty and portion sizes were massive. Prices were on par with other teppanyaki restaurants I've been to, but in my opinion totally worth it for the entertainment factor.

Ordered via DoorDash, my food was still warm when arrived but honestly the only thing that really tasted good were the two shrimps and the soup! But they did make sure the bag, everything h was in, was stapled and I appreciate that type of food safety!

Visited here last night for $4 sushi night in bar. Food was very good as always but service in bar was very poor. The waitress/bartender was very frazzled, not real friendly, and acted like we had to accommodate her incompetence... I have always had good service here in past but not this time. Hope it improves.
No managers present.

Quality of food is VERY good. Portions are great. Fam didn't like the salad but I don't eat them so no input there. Said different than others. Hibachi cook was awesome. Veggies are zucchini, onion, and broccoli. Only thing I was surprised by and missed was no sesame mixed in. Overall definitely recommend. The place is beautiful 😊. Husband was finally impressed after I've had him try multiple Hibachi places.

4.5 stars. Delicious hibachi and sushi!! Started off with your typical salad and mushroom soup for appetizers. Nothing impressive here just the standard soup and salad you would expect with your hibachi dinner. We also got a crab Rangoon roll and I'm so glad we did! The crab was fully cooked and was rolled with cream cheese and deep fried in tempura batter. The dinner itself was great! I had got the chicken and steak and ordered the steak medium, it was a little over cooked but still had a great taste. Hubby got the salmon and I enjoyed his better than mine! This was covered in teriyaki sauce

This was such a great experience. The people were amazing they interacted with our group so much and entertained us with flipping the egg in his hat to flipping egg pieces in our mouths(I totally didn't think he would make it in my mouth ). The food was amazing I had the filet mignon and chicken along with the fried rice and noodles. I had a Bahama mama drink and it was great. I definitely will return with my family. It was so beautiful inside as well.

All hail the fried rice gods! I could each hibachi-style fried rice everyday. I'm not sure what they do to make it so good but it's seriously addicting. I don't frequent hibachi-style restaurants very often but we were with some family to celebrate the holidays and the experience was fun. Service started out pretty slow but by the end our waiter was filling up drinks consistently and was checking on us frequently. I had the chicken hibachi with fried rice, noodles and vegetables. I think what makes this particular Japanese steakhouse unique is that you get both fried rice and lo

Plenty of parking, GREAT and I mean GREAT location.

We went and were seated immediately at a booth for dinner. We decided not to do the hibachi dinner show. It was pretty quiet, and the menu is on a QR code. There is no physical menu.

Food wise, definitely would be willing to go again but our first experience wasn't great. The food looked okay, but the taste just wasn't there. There was a very fishy smell in the rice and just tasted off.

The food here is awesome. We haven't tried the hibachi side but the regular service and sushi bar are outstanding. Service is solid. I really like the mushroom soup and have tried lots of sushi rolls and sashimi and they have all been top flight. Oh the fried rice is great. Only downside is that its a bit of a challenge to get there except off Keystone. The decor is great in the entry with a fish pond. Nice touch. Youll enjoy eating here.

Overall good experience - hibachi is always a fun time & they definitely delivered. It is fun trying to catch the egg and saki. Food wise, not my favorite. I felt like a lot of the food, especially the rice, had way too much pepper. The filet was phenomenal though!! I enjoyed getting rice & noodles included in the meal as well. We were given huge portions & had to take home leftovers. I was pleased that the leftovers heated up just as well. They also bring out fried ice cream for celebrating your birthday there and made sure the restaurant knew with the drum & singing - a personal

Maybe 1-2 times per year my husband and I go to a Japanese steakhouse but we usually just go to the ones closer to home. We went for a friends birthday so we made the trip across town and boy am I glad we did. Koto is one of the best Japanese steakhouses that I've ever been to. There was a group of 9 of us and we made a reservation. When we arrived it took a minute for them to seat us but we were tucked back in a room so we all were able to visit and eat on a space that felt more secluded.

I got the hibachi chicken and a mai tai. Two thumbs up for both of those. Two things Koto does that

This was my second time at Koto. My first experience was better. The atmosphere is very elegant and the staff is wonderful. Everything on the menu is very affordable for hibachi. Our chef maybe performed one trick.

The food was ok this time. My shrimp was a little burnt and he used a little to much sauce that it over powered everything. The ginger noodles and mushroom soup was really good. I also had the mango sake and blue ocean that was really good.

I wasn't pleased with this experience but I think it was just our chef. The first time I came I had nothing negative to say.

Atmosphere was beautiful and clean, food was good and nice portions. A little pricey, but not unexpected. Customer service was absolutely horrible. Not a friendly greeting, our server didn't act friendly and no one said anything when we left. Customer service was so bad we probably won't return. Very unfortunate
