Services
KJ began her work in the mental health field at Children's Medical Center of Dallas, where she gained knowledge and experience working in an acute psychiatric setting; both in inpatient and partial hospitalization programs. This experience involved working with children, teens, and families struggling with behavioral issues, mood disorders, emotional disturbance, learning disorders, ADD/ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and eating disorders.
KJ is genuinely compassionate about helping others. She is such a supportive individual with a heart for making a difference in the lives of others! My experience with KJ Hurt has been overwhelmingly positive. Her compassionate approach immediately puts me at ease and allows me to maintain my dignity even during times of vulnerability.
The initial assessment will be a diagnostic evaluation. In this evaluation, KJ will gather personal information for the purpose of determining issues that need to be addressed and recommendations for how to address them. Goals for treatment will be discussed and agreed upon by both the counselor and the patient(s).
