Gilbert Counselors is a collaborative group of providers dedicated to offering Professional Counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults. Services
After working in the field of education and mental health for some time, we each realized that we wanted to be able to work with people on a deeper level and made the decision to return to school. We chose the Master of Counseling program with University of Phoenix.
Once earning our degrees, we were accepted into the Residency Program with Phoenix Interfaith Counseling where we received intense training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and the invaluable experience of working with clients with Serious Mental Illness.We continued with PIC and attained our independent licenses and began to supervise new counselors.

After nearly 20 years experience as a Licensed Counselor specializing in CBT, DBT, and EMDR, I now focus the next phase of my career on training and supervising new therapists in the practice of Mindfulness and meditation, CBT, and DBT. I am dedicated to providing the highest quality mental health services to our community.

I have a BS in Psychology from ASU and a Master of Counseling from University of Phoenix. On the personal side, I have two adult daughters who help me maintain my balance in life.

I graduated with my Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University in Phoenix. I have been working as a therapist for over eight years, and have been in the behavioral health field for the past decade.
My name is Alana, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I provide counseling to individuals of all ages, couples, and families. I have a 17-year background in education from 7th-12th grade. I specialize in helping the parent-child relationship with education and setting appropriate boundaries.

I have been in and out of counseling for a good 10 years of my life, and no one has connected with me like Alicia Bendenagel has. She listens intently, connects, and encourages me during each session. She even sends me text messages between meetings just to check up on me.
