Doctor Recupero is a very straight forward professional. His staff is wonderful and I really appreciate Heather. They are to the point and that is exactly what I want and need for my pet's care. I have take both my dogs there the past 7 years. I would recommend this business to anyone in Mesa or the surrounding areas.
Thank you Comet Veterinary to take care of my dogs through the years. You guys are the best!

Dr Recupero and his staff have been so caring for our pets. When our Pug developed some strange skin rash, he worked to not just treat but to understand what caused it so that our old lady didn’t have to deal with the condition in the future. Highly recommend Comet… as I have already done to family and friends!

I will never go to another vet, for as long as Dr. Recupero is on this planet! I cannot commend him and his staff enough for always being there when we need them! We have A LOT of animals, and Dr. Recupero is always so willing to treat each and every one of them, even when he doesn't know what's wrong! He goes above and beyond for us and for that, we couldn't be more grateful. 10/10 will ALWAYS recommend!

Horrible place. Staff is even worse. I walked in, and they immediately asked my name looking at their book. I explained I just walked in and they told me "THAT is NOT a good idea"! They told me they don't provide service on animals, so I asked what they do then. It went downhill from there. DO NOT go here.

Dr. Recupero is a great guy, excellent care, understanding, and he gives you information about your pet in a understandable way that allows you to make an informed decision The staff is great too, not one rude person there. The cat in the lobby is a little stand offish, but it’s a cat and cats are buttheads.

I am so pleased with this veterinary hospital. From the front office staff, the techs and to the doctor. My dog is a large breed and he is old. I wasn’t too hopeful on what the outcome would be but they got us in quicker than usual due to circumstances and ruled out some “bad” prognosis’s... Preformed a reasonably priced surgery and took care of my old dog! Thank you 🙏🏼

We have tried a couple different vets in Northeast Mesa and today we went to Comet and was treated by Dr. Recupero. This is a small, clean, friendly office with the basics in appearance. To me, Dr. Recupero seems to be a seasoned vet, laid back in nature and very honest. He does not try to up-sell you at all. He is as honest a vet as I have seen. His assistant Heather was very competent and works well with the doctor. What was nice is the fact that he does some of the common blood tests in house rather than sending everything out. I asked the doctor, should we buy this, should we get this

I have been to many vets in the past. Dr. Recupero and his staff are the best. They care about my pet, take care of situations quickly and are always happy to see my dog and I. Dr. Recupero spends a lot of time with my dog and I and he is always trying to make life better for both of us. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Dr. Recupero and his staff have worked with three generations of our family since 1998. Over the years he has treated my cat, my son and daughter's pets, and now most recently my granddaughters beloved cat, Gracie.
Gracie was spayed at a local spay clinic on Sept 5. She seemed to have a normal recovery until her stitches opened. Grace was taken back to the spay clinic and told she needed $1,800 in surgery to open and clean the wound.
My granddaughter was devastated. Grace is only a year old and very healthy until this happened. It seemed the options, for an 18 year old looking for a job

Actually care about the animal? BIG QUESTION! My cat is so sick tonight and I took her in to them today. The vet really didn't care at all about anything I had to say or how she was doing. She is 2 plus years and hasn't been sick AT ALL since she was a kitten (rescue kitty) and supposedly it relates to her 6 week year old illness. This is a… cat that is chipped, has her shots, indoors only, and a spoiled baby...really!!!!! She eats nothing but the best and, again, a spoiled baby. I will not be back and maybe that was the thought. Wish I could ask for the $50 for nothing fee back because

Amazing service. I called today because I needed to take my Husky that had an injury from a dog attack at the park. I called several places and was not successful in getting her in. Everyone was booked. Even her own vet would not make an attempt to take her in. When I called Comet they asked me what the issue was and then said they would speak to the vet and see if he could squeeze her in. They did and I was beyond grateful. Once there I was in and out in less than an hour and knew exactly what was wrong and treated my Husky and I with kindness and warmth. I would highly recommend this place

Comet vet. And Dr. R. have been wonderful with ALL of our animals. I see some posts as to Dr. Rs beside manners, I will tell you this. Dr. R is a fantastic vet. His utmost concern is for the animal, isn't that why we go to a vet. I'm not there to socialize or have my ego stroked. If you want direct, unbiased, straight forward care for your animals, I recommend Dr. R very highly....if you want to patted on the head and handled with kid gloves, go somewhere else. His pricing is the best in the east valley

Thank you Dr. R for helping us send our dear Pixie over the Rainbow Bridge. My regular (not anymore) vet wanted an outrageous amount of money for euthanizing a 6 pound Chihuahua and after spending 100's with them over the course of 6 months to treat a heart condition that could not be reversed - i was appalled. My parents take their dear doggie to Comet - so I called them up and they were so caring and accomodating to help us. Also, their prices are so darn reasonable it makes you realize you don't need to sign up for those $90 per month "health plans" to keep your pet healthy

Dr. Recupero is a wonderful, compassionate vet who does NOT take advantage of his customers by doing unnecessary tests. Prior to going to Dr. Recupero, my Mom took her very sick little dachshund to Red Mountain Animal Hospital who didn't even do blood work prior to doing other perfunctory procedures that produced zero results; cost her $170 and she still did not know what was wrong. If she wanted blood work done, that would have been an extra $160 from RMAH. She ended up taking her sick baby home, who suffered for 2-3 more days before she discovered Dr. Recupero. That's shameful!

I have been going to Comet Vet Hosp. in Mesa, ever since I moved back to the Valley years ago, as they were recommended to me. They are not close to my home so I drive across town, but they are worth the drive. Dr. Recupero honestly explains everything he does for my little doggie and sometimes twice and a third time (patiently) as I just don't get it (or want to get it) the first time - I am so nervous about whatever happens to be wrong with her at the time, at which point, he give me my options. I am sooo glad that I found Dr. Recupero and his staff, especially Heather who is always

The entire staff is always timely, always friendly & helpful service, always good with animals and with the owners. Dr. Recupero has a great way of explaining what is going on with the animal in layman's terms and willing to repeat himself patiently when one is freaking out. We have tried several nearby vets and this vet and his office is by far the most caring with the animals.
The only reason they get 4 instead of 5 stars is because the vet is sometimes impatient and rude to his staff, which can get uncomfortable at times.
