My favorite authentic Mexican Restaurant!!! They have the absolute best food, freshly prepared and always delicious!!! We frequent this restaurant even though it's about 35 minutes from home!

We have seen this restaurant hundred of times while driving to and from BWI airport. We finally decided to pass by and try it out. We ordered some fajitas and the shrimp and scallops meal with rice, guacamole and sour cream with some hot flour tortillas. The food was good and the rice was very flavorful. Would I eat here again probably not as this is typical American Mexican restaurant. Nothing stands out. They had great service.

My favorite Mexican restaurant. Food is consistently very good and tasty. Wonderful service and short wait time. Though I have since moved from the area I always schedule a lunch or dinner here when in town every few months.

I ate here today. The staff was pleasant and efficient, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and who does not like free chips and salsa while they wait. Overall, it was a great experience and if I am ever in the area again, I would not mind eating here again.

Everything about Los Portales was great for my visit. I was immediately seated with a large group, and the place was packed. As soon as we weren't seated we were given chip and salsa and offered a drink. We were also met with the house specials and happy hour brief/drinks available, which is awesome... Most of the time you have to ask. I ate tacos, burritos and tried the chicken quesadilla. All of the food was amazing, I asked for a hotter sauce and they gave me a great hot sauce full of spice and flavor. Throughout my visit the waiter was on point and always asking about refills and when needed

My husband and I were excited to try this restaurant as we drive by it frequently. We were very disappointed. The food didn’t have any flavor. We ordered two different meals and both were so bland. I have never had mexican food that was so plain, ever. The chips were good. That was pretty much it.

Love the decor. Friendly and funny reminder to wear a mask as soon as you enter. Complimentary chips and salsa while you wait for your order. Didn’t like how appetizer and meal came at the same time, but could be due to torta not taking long to make. Appetizer was okay, really only like the taquitos. The chicken torta was amazing tho. One bite of it and I shocked how something can be so delicious. Would’ve preferred ketchup for the fries from a bottle instead of packets on the plate. Overall the service was great. Torta is definitely worth the trip here, will definitely come back and try other

Nice atmosphere, waiter came right to the table. Still sad about the sweet tea thing but not letting that affect my rating since it seems to be a common thing. Chips and salsa were good, nothing to go crazy over. Our food came out hot and fast. My husband is in the hotel right now enjoying MY leftovers. He loved his tamale. He had the trip fajitas, and I had a combination platter. Everything was so good. I was so full and didn't even order churros for dessert, I'm so sad about that. The bathroom was clean, smelt good and the music was blasting, so honestly if you were like literally blowing it

My favorite Mexican restaurant period! If I am in Maryland I'll drive hours to get to this place. Very comfortable atmosphere. Service is always above and beyond what you expect. Drinks are made to perfection and also poured heavy on the liquor. You definitely get your money's worth that's for sure. Food is very authentic and always flavorful. Huge variety to choose from. I've never ordered anything that hasn't came out amazing.
