Parkhurst Associates
Since 1994, Parkhurst Associates has served our DC community - helping those who seek guidance on their mental wellness journeys. Our team recognizes the uniqueness of each person's journey, which is why we have dedicated ourselves to building a team of clinicians from many different backgrounds - a team that is representative of the communities we serve.

With expertise in a broad range of therapeutic techniques, our clinicians are well equipped to walk with you on your mental wellness journey. Our clinicians have experience working with individuals who present with a broad range of presenting problems, such as anxiety, behavioral issues, depression, family conflict, grief, identity development, life transitions, parenting, relationship issues, substance use, and trauma.
Services

Counseling, facilitated by a therapist, where individuals meet to openly discuss their presenting problems.

A day and a half program of information about the workings of relationships, presentations of psychological findings about intimacy, experiential groups seeking to uncover barriers to intimacy, self-esteem and body-image discussions, mindfulness- meditation for self-efficacy, and group support for creating changes in the way one approaches dating and mating.
The following information is provided in order that therapists and clients have a clear, mutual understanding of the business side of their work together. Of course, these policies are subject to some negotiation in hardship cases, and every attempt at flexibility will be made when they present a problem for a client.
