Do you find yourself dreading going to the gym to workout? Or maybe you make it to the gym, but waste time roaming around searching for a machine or debating which muscle groups to work? These days especially, it can feel intimidating and nerve wrecking to reach your fitness goals in such a big space.
All you have to do is show up, and our certified and motivating instructors will take you through a full-body, low-impact workout in just 55 minutes or less. You will leave our studio feeling stronger, balanced, more flexible, and full of energy to take on the rest of your busy day. We are Gia and Rachael and we created Barre Centric after feeling so frustrated from trying to stay in shape in our "post-dance" days of our lives.

Our main workout class fuses ballet, Pilates, yoga and orthopedic stretching to achieve strength, flexibility and balance. The class uses a blend of concentric and eccentric movements with isometric exercises to fatigue the muscles and lengthening stretches to increase their flexibility. Stemming from the Lotte Berk Method, this workout is sure to produce long, lean and toned muscles similar to that of a dancer's body.
All of our classes combine core conditioning, the Lotte Berk Method, yoga, Pilates and orthopedic stretching to achieve strength, flexibility and balance. The class is broken down into 4 sections- warmup, thighs, seat, and abdominals, using a blend of concentric and eccentric movements and isometric exercises to fatigue the muscles and lengthening stretches to increase flexibility.

Barre Centric is a fun and inviting studio where you will experience a quality whole body exercise with every class. The owners Gia and Rachael are constantly creating new classes, challenges, and special events to make their studio feel like a community for their members. What a great place to meet new people, walk away with sore muscles, and gain a positive and healthy headspace.

I’ve been going to BC since they’ve opened. It really is a special place for women (and men) to disconnect, strengthen and stretch their bodies. It’s a 45-55 minute class so it’s something I can commit to as a busy mom. The owners and their families as well as their staff of long time instructors have nothing but the best intentions and run this business with everything they have to give. They are constantly adding new classes, events and merchandise to keep things fresh and fun for members. They have worked so hard through a Pandemic they have no control of. Thankful to have this business

Recently I became a Centric Centennial, hitting 100 barre classes at Barre Centric. What does this really mean? Probably that I've taken a ton of barre classes, which is entirely true, and I have no plans to stop any time soon. Barre Centric was a joy to find, giving me variety and challenge in my workouts, but without exacerbating my myriad injuries.
If you're completely new to barre, take a regular class first to get used to the format. Classes are fairly predictable in the sense that the layout is the same: warm up (which I tend to find more difficult than some of the standard exercises

I initially went to the studio when it first opened, and I was hooked and noticed changes in my tone and core strength after only a short time. I moved out of town but now that I'm back, I am so glad to have joined again.
There are many varieties of classes offered such as: barre centric (which is the regular class), barre cardio (fast paced most similar to regular class, barre bounce (trampolines!) and barre resist (using Pilates stick).
I'll start by saying that if you have never tried barre before, you should go to the regular classes first before trying the variations. The regular

This was my first ever Barre class & despite doing Ballet for 10 years when I was younger I was nervous. It's such a neat space, the instructor Elle was super nice & very easy to follow. It's definitely hard, but in a good way! I didn't feel like it wasn't something I couldn't get through. I signed up for an unlimited pass & we'll see how it goes. Really happy I tried it out!

I met a friend here who is newly obsessed with barre and I was SO glad I did. I booked the 7 days unlimited for $25 on their website and tried Barre Express for a first go. I parked on the street because Main st. is very busy and the parking lot in the back was not totally clear that it was for Barre (but it is!) When I arrived Rachel was there in the empty studio and was so friendly and welcoming. I filled out my forms and she gave me the tour and helped set up my mat and equipment. She showed me what it looks like to "tuck" and "pulse" which are phrases unknown to a beginner

I've been meaning to try a Barre class for a long time, but was always intimidated by the thought of it. After becoming bored with the gym scene, I decided to finally give it a whirl, and now I can say I am officially obsessed!
The studio is so welcoming. I arrived to my first class 15 minutes ahead of time, as the site suggests, and upon arriving any reservations I had about being a newbie were instantly diminished. The instructor immediately introduced herself to me, gave me a tour, and explained what barre was all about. One thing I was nervous about was not knowing what equipment to

Barre in the 'burbs. Theme of the day. I was looking for a Barre Cardio class and this studio had it at a time that worked. Thought id combine it with some other errands in the area.
It's much larger than the city studio. Has tons of easy parking in front. Coming in the front door (only one entrance here) you have a cubicle area for your things. The back room is large, probably fits 30 people I'd guess. Two walls here are mirrors so there's really no escaping that.
This location also has a large restroom with shower that's stocked with pretty much whatever

Barre Centric is an amazing Barre studio with two convenient locations. The instructors are experienced and passionate. The studios and the equipment are both clean and great spaces. The classes are fun yet challenging and you see results rather quickly. I would recommend Barre Centric to anyone regardless of your level, age, or workout experience. Great place that Buffalo is lucky to have!

These ladies rock! I took my first barre class years ago at a pure barre studio out of town and really wasn't feeling the vibe. However, this past winter I started coming to classes at barre centric and fell in love with this exercise. The teachers are all very sweet and truly focus on alignment as you are moving throughout the class. The owners are so accommodating and helpful when figuring out class passes and halting your unlimited passes when traveling. I can't say anything bad about this place!

The teachers at Barre at Barre Centric are just wonderful, kind, helpful and truly knowledgable. They make me feel special each and every time I go. But the best thing about the Barre Centric is their knowledge of the Barre classes. They make sure we get an amazing workout but keep us in correct positions and make sure we do not get injured while we get into shape. The classes are all very challenging and WOW do they work to change the shape of my body. I call it my love-hate relationship. I hate to have to move through a class but I LOVE what it does to my body. I can't recommend this particular

I love each class, the instructors are so great with keeping an eye on form, counting down moves, and just overall positive and encouraging! Always helpful if you need to modify a move (I have an sore wrist I can't put pressure on). Favorite class is Barre Resist but all of them are great and always challenging. Love Barre Centric!

I have been going to Barre Centric for about 2 years now, and I absolutely love it! The owners of BC, Rachel and Gia, have a great business sense and are second to none! All of the instructors at both locations have the best personalities so it is very easy to ask questions if you have any concerns. They change their classes up a lot so it isn't the same old thing. You can make the classes as challanging as you'd like and there are a few different classe types to choose from. BC is perfect for everyone no matter what your fitness level! Defiantly check them out! You won't be disappointed!!!

Barre Centric is my latest obsession!
When it comes to exercising, I just like to do things on my own, outside, during nice weather (rollerblading, biking, walking, etc). I belong to a local gym; however, gyms just bore me. I swear I would rather go to the dentist, than go to the gym after a long work day.
So, when a couple of my girlfriends kept talking about barre classes, I decided I would check it out. On a whim, I opted to purchase the 'new client special' - $100 for unlimited classes for 1 month. 3 weeks later, I can say this is one of the BEST purchases I have made in a while

Traveling for work wreaks major suckage on the workout routine. Luckily, I was able to find Barre Centric on yelp, and only gained half the pounds this go round. I loved that the staff was so friendly and talkative - even setting up my mat and props for me since they knew I was a newbie to the studio.
During class we hit the usual, arms, abs, butt, and thighs, and we were doing so many different things that time flew by. I loved the thighs especially - this has to be one of the top five hardest thighs classes I've taken. I wish we worked arms a bit more, but that's only because I

I'll be honest - I'm a grumpy exerciser - if I don't like it, I"m not doing it. Moved back to Buffalo from Minneapolis where every corner had a new exercise opportunity and they were fun. I have not been so happy with my exercise options since we moved back - however, I went to Barre due to my husband finding a Living Social deal. I went to my first class and really enjoyed it. My instructor was Rachael and she was very helpful making sure that everyone was in the right frame and making adjustments so that everyone was getting the most out of their exercise time. The class

Went to a class for the first time tonight wasn't sure what I would get since I haven't taken a barre class before. The instructor was Gia and she was phenomenal!!! The class was so tough, it was awesome!! If you're a fitness nut like me you want to stay on top of the newest and latest. Barre uses dance, pilatessque, small weights and small movements to bust your chops! I was shaking and sweating up a storm! I have no doubts I will be aching tomorrow.
The studio is very friendly and appealing. There's mats available to use. The barres are at two levels for different height

Barre Centric is my go-to fitness routine. I don't even own a gym membership anymore because I get so much more out of a barre centric class in an hour a day compared to busting my butt at the gym for two. This full body workout is refreshing and fun and the teachers provide consistent upbeat positive energy and helpful technique corrections and tips.
If you've never taken a barre class before you are seriously missing out. So come take your first at Barre Centric, and I bet you become hooked!

By far the best work out I've ever had! I absolutely hate working out but not at the Barre! It's great because it's a full body working out in just one hour, and you're not completely dying or feeling like you ran a marathon afterwards. As a former dancer, this is exactly what I was looking for. Gia and Rachel are so patient, kind and encouraging; you will never feel intimidated, judged or uncomfortable or embarrassed while at the barre. My absolute favorite class is the Stick class-everyone should try it!

Exactly what Buffalo needs. The barre craze has made its way to Western New York and the superior pick is none other than Barre Centric. Gia and Rachael have devoted their lives to dancing and now want you to experience this new and fun way to get in shape. Barre Centric is for anyone and offers several different classes to meet your exercise needs. I'm always looking at their Facebook and Twitter pages to take advantage of their monthly specials and promotions! I am now a barre-addict!

Barre comes to Buffalo.
Being from the Bay Area, Barre classes are big business. Every day hundreds of women decked out in Lulu Lemon tuck their way to better bodies. Having moved to Buffalo for work I was dearly hoping that there would be a barre class. When I arrived in August, I found none. Then: Barre Centric opened.
Located on Main Street just off Transit are Rachel and Gia's studio. A golden oasis for those of us stressed out between jobs, family and other nagging daily concerns. This is the perfect place dedicate to a full hour to you alone. And the results are worth it.
