Classical Pilates, from Joseph Pilates is a method of exercise and physical movement designed to stretch, strengthen, lengthen, and balance the body. It is a safe, low impact and highly effective mind-body spirit modality addressed to every one, from the de-conditioned to the athlete. The most traditional equipment - the reformer- guides your body in your movements by creating both resistance and assistance with its springs.
The same group of moms and babies get together and learn a routine to exercise safely and playfully, getting stronger week after week. This Pilates postpartum course also includes smooth belly dance moves, and contains a focus on pelvic floor exercise. Mom and baby exercise together; using a "baby Carrier" at times or your child' s weight to exercise or leaving your baby on the comfortable mat.
Kegel exercises are an important element of women's pelvic floor health, wellness and fitness. The Kegel exercises target the pelvic floor muscles, a group of intertwined muscles that attached from the pubic bone to the tailbone and between the site bones. As any other muscles, the pelvic floor muscles need to be toned and strengthened.
Designed with the specific needs of the expecting woman in mind - during each of the three trimesters, the program is based on Pilates, Yoga, pelvic floor exercises, fitness, belly dance moves, together with breathing and relaxation. It is delivered in as a safe and effective manner in a warm and nurturing environment for you.

I took Valerie’s breastfeeding class in June. Virtual classes can be challenging but she managed to make it interactive and fun! Overall, the class was comprehensive and evidence based. As a second time mom, I took this class as a way to boost my confidence after a rough start to breastfeeding with my first baby. I definitely left with renewed excitement to breastfeed and feel armed with all of the right knowledge and resources to be successful.

We took 3 of Valerie's classes online via Zoom and they were wonderful! After the first class we learned so much and knew we wanted to take the other classes that she offered. With this being our first baby we were concerned that we weren't going to be able to attend classes in person because of the pandemic, but Body Belly Baby's online option was amazing and the material was covered so thoroughly that it was every bit as effective as if we met in person. Valerie is very knowledgable and passionate about what she does and it shows, she cares a lot about her clients. We would highly recommend signing

Body Belly Baby is amazing!!! I started my experience with Valerie about half way through my pregnancy. Not only did the prenatal pilates help me fill the exercise void in my life, it was such a pleasant experience to be united with other expectant mothers going through similar journeys; it felt like a family. I enjoyed the pilates so much and the environment that Valerie and her associate, Shula, cultivated that I signed up for her Lamaze course, breastfeeding course, Baby CPR and Baby 101. Valerie is an excellent educator and Shula is just incredible! Body Belly Baby provides so much support

Body Belly Baby is an amazing resource for pregnant women dedicated to having a healthy pregnancy and to safely exercising through out their pregnancy. As an obstetrician and mom of two, I have both personal and professional experience referring patients and taking the classes myself. You will find no other person in Miami, or for that matter anywhere in the world, who is as knowledgeable as Valerie when it comes to pregnancy and optimizing one's body throughout the 40 weeks and postpartum. I highly recommend her and her program both to patients and friends.

Body Belly Baby, led by Founder Valerie Massoni, is exactly what my wife and I needed as we look forward to the birth of our first child. Both the Baby 101 and Lamaze Childbirth courses synthesized down all the information on the internet, books and random friend / family advice into a few hours of real, practical advice from a certified, engaging and truly caring expert. We were also very impressed with how easy and interactive the virtual zoom session turned out. Additionally, small classes, with only a few couples, definitely helped create a comfortable setting where we could express ourselves

I have been doing the pilates classes with Valerie via Zoom for a few months already and all I can say is that is GREAT for you pregnancy!!
I start taking the classes during my second trimester and since I have been feeling amazing! Taking the classes online is very practical for me. I can do all my exercises from home, and especially I feel very safe during these uncertain times.

Body Belly Baby its an absolute MUST experience while pregnant - I started going to the Prenatal Pilates class at 18 weeks and it helped me SO much. Valerie creates a beautiful environment but at the same time very professional and knows exactly the exercises that will help a pregnant woman, for the different stages. We also took the couple's Lamaze class with Valerie and it was crucial in feeling prepared, getting all of the right information needed - totally worth it. It helped both my husband and I to get educated about the birthing process and coming up with our own birth plan. Love Body Belly

Love this studio! Very happy with my experience taking Prenatal Pilates and, more recently, Prenatal Yoga at Body Belly Baby . Valerie is incredibly knowledgeable on all of the nuances of pregnancy (symptoms, ailments, good habits, safe breathing, etc) and especially in getting your body prepared for the challenge of childbirth. I’ve been attending classes since 15 weeks and took my last class yesterday and 39w5d. So glad I did! And today, I’m in labor and delivery at hospital ready to deliver my little boy. The classes prepared me in a way I didn’t have the discipline to myself... each exercise
