Robins Restaurant
A passion for wholesome and fresh. Inspiration drawn from world cuisines. Robin Covey and Shanny Covey first began serving wholesome fare in the back room of a small health food store in Cambria. The popularity of their dishes allowed them to soon expand and open Robin's, which was then located on Bridge Street.

Five years after opening, Robin & Shanny moved the restaurant to a historic adobe house on Burton Drive. The spacious garden setting, rustic nooks, and warm fireplace meshed appropriately with the handcrafted meals that Robin's had become renowned for. Chow. Tempeh. Cioppino. Curry, and the largest selection of unique vegetarian dishes on the coast.
Services
When ordering a physical gift card, you will be directed to a secure PayPal page where you can choose the amount and we will mail your recipient a physical Gift Card. Please note, our gift cards can only be used at Robin's and not our sister locations in San Luis Obispo. We apologize for any inconvenience.
We are pet friendly, but the increase in seating in our garden space can make it difficult to accommodate pets, so if you can leave them home it would be best. We can accommodate up to 5 dogs max in our outdoor garden area with a maximum of 2 pets per party. When service starts, we stop taking reservations for that meal period, but you are welcome to walk-in & we may be able to seat you.
We are a small, dedicated team comprised of selfless, authentic individuals bonded by a passion for quality and an unshakeable work ethic. Above all else, we care. We support locality and sustainability whenever possible and harbor a genuine desire to nurture humankind through the shared experience of food & drink.

Robin's is one of my favorite places in town! It's the first restaurant I take visitors to, and I've never had anyone disappointed. Local friends and I go there fairly often for dinner. Its inside atmosphere is warm and cozy and usually has a wonderful fire going in the beautiful fireplace. The garden room is a nice, airy but protected covered space, and the back garden is lovely, with lush vegetation, umbrellas, and heaters for those chilly nights. The back garden is also dog-friendly, and it's always nice to see the variety of well-behaved pooches who get to come out with

If you are a curry fan this is the Togo place. They are located at Cambria ca . In last 8 years we stopped by for great food and Christmas lights at Cambria on December. You need reservations for big groups I guess.
Also I was today's years old that I find out that NOVO cafe at San Louis Obispo also has the same ownership but very different type of place.

Robins Restaurant is one of the top
Restaurants in Cambria. They were currently closed for lunch.

We arrived to a beautiful garden house with the most luscious and unique vines covering the tops and sides of the dining area. We sat in the back garden where they have a completely covered area with heat lamps.

The menu is not too big which is nice to not be overwhelmed. They're known for the salmon bisque which I personally didn't care for. My husband had the vegetable lasagna which came out in a beautiful bowl with lots of sauce. It's big enough to share but he liked it so much

Disappointed, but they try hard. The crispy egg rolls were very crispy, but they were bland and had a taste like the oil wasn't fresh. However the kimchi served with them was excellent. My partner had the salmon bisque, and that was delicious with big chunks of salmon.

For entrees, I had the Ahi special. The fish was beautifully seared and very rare, but sadly it was doused in sauce. It sat on a nice pile of black rice and some veggies. How much better this dish would have been if the sauce had been lightly drizzled on the rice, and then the freshly seared ahi placed on top. My partner

One of the better experiences that I've had in a while, in terms of food. The dishes were made very well, delicious, and there was just a nice vibe about eating in their outside dining area resembling a garden.

My wife and I spent a weekend in Cambria and decided to try Robins based on the reviews. We're both very glad we did. The dishes we ordered did not disappoint.

We started with the Garlic Bread. If you're at Robins, or planning to visit Robins, you need to get the Garlic Bread, the entire bread, not no silly little slice of Garlic Bread. The Garlic Bread was a few wedged

Made reservations and we were promptly seated. I chose this restaurant because all of the vegetarian options sounded fantastic to me, and guess what? Not one was a veggie burger! My partner and I are plant-based eaters.

They seemed a tad short staffed because it took awhile for our waiter to ask for our drink order. That's okay, it allowed us time to decide our dinner meal. I ordered the East African Tofu Curry while my partner ordered the butternut squash enchiladas. Mine was delicious, I ate it so quickly. The presentation was nice since I was expecting it in a bowl. It all worked out.

Super cute outside open garden area dining spot with a global twist on a side street of downtown Cambria. 4.5 stars

Food: 4, Atmosphere: 5, Service: 3
Cost to worth it rating: 3 (most entrees in the $25-30 range and quality)
Return worthiness: yes
Eve award: cutest and most extensive outside dining

Highlights:
- Atmosphere: tons of outdoor seating. Usually these days outdoors is a few tables on a sidewalk so we were thrilled. Loved the big garden decorated all festive with an uncovered area on the side and covered by wood beams in the back. Even inside felt pretty airy and open which made us

Robins was a super solid choice for our no kids, no cook vacation Thanksgiving dinner. Like most places Robins had some thanksgiving appropriate dishes but they also had many of the standout selections from their awesome regular menu. With no disrespect to the day, we both opted for non-traditional fare ordering the braised beef rib entrée and the Indian lamb curry dish called Roghan Josh. Both were excellent and quite different from each other and traditional thanksgiving fare. The beef was classically good, exactly what I expected and braised to delicious perfection with garlic whipped potatoes

This is such a special place for a meal. Every part is a treat.

So the last visit here one of us had the Short Ribs.
I had one bite.

That was enough to come back and have the meal. Absolutely
Fantastico.

We added the spinach salad and
Fresh garlic bread.

My White wine from New Zealand and a red from Paso Robles.

Service was a bit strained but still worked out fine. We had to make a couple requests but answered swiftly.

I would return in a heartbeat.

I will try to duplicate these short ribs at home. But it was Worth a
Thousand mile RT just for this meal.

Just the thought makes

Robin's is a lovely place with beautiful outdoor seating in a wonderful patio filled with plants and flowers.

The service at Robin's is great. You will have to wait, it can get crowded and I don't know if they take reservations for small groups.

A server will be with you straight away and get a drink order. They have a good wine selection, a lot of it local and you will love it. All of their food is super.

Whenever we are there we must have the salmon bisque, served with a garlic bread that is ever so yummy. They also have plank salmon and we love that for dinner. They have

We went to Robins for our 17th wedding anniversary. We went as a family so our kids were there too. The atmosphere was so cute. We sat on the patio with twinkle lights and a beautiful ambiance.
I ordered the short ribs and they were soo good. It was delicious. It was a big meal so I shared it with my son who also loved it along with the mashed potatoes. My husband had the steak and it was cooked perfectly. My other daughter loved the Thai green curry chicken with rice. Lastly, my other daughter ordered a bean and cheese burrito from the children's menu. She didn't care for it since it

With a massive patio and excellent service, Robins is a fabulous local place. My party of seven tried the famous salmon bisque, the Brussels sprout app, the opa app, and a bunch of entrees. The best entree was an Indian dish, a creamy lamb curry with a few chutneys. The waiter was recommending the swordfish, so I got that--it was dry. I know it's a hard fish to cook, but for 34 bucks I expected more flavor and texture.
There's a good wine list but they are pretty pricey--it's a restaurant so that is expected. We brought our own bottles and paid the $20 per bottle corkage fee.

We were in Cambria and decided to go to dinner. Based on a recommendation and the other Yelp reviews, we decided on Robins. I would say that for Cambria, it is probably pretty good...but compared to more urban areas, it was overpriced for the quality in our opinion.

Here is what we noticed:
- Spacious outdoor seating in their courtyard
- Pretty good service overall
- We had been wine tasting right before arriving so we weren't drinking that night...as a result, I can't comment on the beverage selections
- We ordered the Salt Roasted Beet appetizer. The portion size was very good,

We rolled into Cambria for a three-day vacation and arrived hungry. Our first choice restaurant was unexpectedly closed, and this one appeared to be very busy (and had good reviews on Yelp) so we thought we would try it--and very glad we did. I knew I was going to splurge on a big dinner later that day so I wanted something healthy and filling. We got there at about 12:30 on a Thursday afternoon and had to wait about 20 minutes for a table.

Vibimbap Rice Bowl: 4.5/5. Boy, this hit the spot. Full of flavor with lots of good fresh stuff (black rice, roasted butternut squash, crispy chickpeas

Breakfast with an exotic south Asian and Middle East vibe. Set in a lovely garden patio surrounded by vibrant flowers and foliage. With bees bugs n birds happily pollinating too boot.

Walled off on 3 sides provided an intimate but open feeling just off a busy street. A quiet retreat that transports you.

As calming and Mellow as the surroundings are; the food pops lively with aromas and flavors that are exotic and captivating. Abundant intrigue with every bite.
Definitely get multiple things and share. The lamb curry burrito was great even though it didn't have as much succulent lamb

A guest at the hotel we were staying at recommended Robins to us. So glad we made reservations because this place filled up on a Friday evening! Their outdoor dining in the patio is amazing!! So gorgeous! We at first requested to sit indoors but I think it was the owner said they weren’t set up for indoor seating. So glad we didn’t eat inside! The food was better than expected, I read a negative review about the mole enchiladas but it was actually quite good! I gave it 4 stars only because one of the plates came out lukewarm. I suppose it’s because they wanted to bring out all the food at

Turned in for a late weeknight dinner while driving down highway 1, before our stay at Cambria. Ambience is really amazing - cozy and romantic atmosphere. Food can do a little better considering they are charging premium prices. The chai latte was too sweet. We tried the lamb Rogan josh and I have to say that I have had better at almost half the price. The curry was good but meat can be cooked better to get rid of the ‘gamey’ taste. The Cauliflower tempura in Panang curry was a little on the sweeter side and can do with a little bit less peanut paste. We ordered a side of black beans- week

Reservations - Must do for a Sunday evening. People were waiting for a lengthy amount of time outside. If you're in Cambria, this is the restaurant you must dine at.

Service is fun, friendly, warm, and happy. This made us really enjoy our dinner. The interior is gorgeous, romantic, and cozy.

Crispy Brussel Sprouts (walnut vinaigrette, pine nuts, radish, big rock blue) - Very crispy, flaky, and salty. Great!

Flat Iron Steak (8oz, creamy polenta, summer succotash, chimichurri) - Good.

Three scallops over risotto and vegetables (seasonal item) - Delicious and devoured this. The risotto was

Pretty atmosphere with gardens and lots of outdoor seating. Unfortunately the service was pretty slow but the food was fresh and tasty. We only came for a small bite to tie us over till dinner and the salad and truffle fries hit the spot. If you're worried about being cold sitting outside... Don't be. They had enough Heaters to make everyone comfortable. Only downside were the prices being a bit high. I liked how convenient it was to all the shopping in Cambria.

The food was very good. We started with the Crusted Calamari, a single portion of Garlic Bread, and the Potato Leek soup of the day. The portion of Calamari was very generous, perfectly crispy, and wonderfully offset by the acidity of the tangy slaw underneath. The bread wasn’t very garlicky, but it was buttery, crispy, and still delicious. The soup was not too salty but very flavorful.
Our main course consisted of the Smoked Pork Chop and the Roghan Josh. The Pork Chop was delicious, and its smokey caramel flavor reminded me of bacon or a sugar-baked ham. The accompanying side of Jalapeño

What a GEM in Cambria!
The food was spectacular! We had the Truffle Fries, Brussel Sprouts, Salmon, and Chocolate Torte... Each one better than the other!
The service was also very professional and prompt, yet super personable... a very hard balance to find!
What a perfect way to start off our Mother’s Day celebration! Thank you!!
