Bradfordville Animal Hospital was founded in 1982 by Dr. Lomax Teal. Originally a plantation outbuilding built in 1853, Dr. Teal remodeled the building into a veterinary hospital. The "back edition" was added several years later. Dr. Alex "Steve" Steverson purchased Bradfordville Animal Hospital in 1991.

Our in-house lab also includes a state-of-the-art ABAXIS machine, which is the same technology used in NASA space shuttles. This machine allows us to take very small blood samples, minimizing pain, and enables us to get various results back in mere minutes. We also offer a full range of clinical pathology services including urine analysis, fecal analysis, bacterial and fungal cultures, and basic cytology.
Our hospital is well-equipped to perform many surgical procedures, from spays and neuters to more complicated orthopedic, trauma, emergency and soft tissue surgeries. In addition, we are equipped for dental procedures including cleaning and tooth extractions, exploratory laporatomies, rectal colon and urogenital surgery, caesarian sections, declaws and all types of cancer surgery.

Im not sure when the best Vet office in Tallahassee became more concerned about money and providing sub-par services, but this is a place I would I avoid.
My ex-wife takes our dog in to be looked at, because her hip dysplasia seems to be getting worse.....and we were hoping that some anti-inflammatory meds would be of help....so....$215+ later....the Vet takes it upon herself to give my dog vaccinations that we did not ask for nor did she need, as she got her 3 year rabies vaccine just 9 months earlier. Again....not a single person in that office asked about our girls vax status....its like they

The staff here is amazing! Very friendly and professional. The doctors communicate well with the owners explaining everything so that even people who aren’t familiar with medical terminology can understand what’s going on with their pet. They include the owners well in decision making. My dogs love to visit Bradfordville Animal Hospital. They are always so excited to see the staff. You can sense how much the health and happiness of your pet means to them. Thank you all for the care you give to my pets.

I love this veteran office, I have brought my dog Oliver there for many years they have always been very friendly. This last time was very hard after 16yrs it was time to put him a sleep. They were beyond kind and were with Oliver and I if they hadn't been so supportive and kind I don't know how I would handled it. Thank you for your kindness you made the unbearable actually bearable.

I take my dog here and have board him as well. It's a fantastic vet, reasonably priced and I am a huge fan of their phone app that allows me to fill out all the paperwork before I bring my dog. Do you know how hard it is to sit down with a clip board and try to write legibly when your dog needs to sniff every other dog's butt?!

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness
We contacted Bradfordville Animal Hospital on a Friday and were able to get our beloved Golden Doodle treated for fleas on a Saturday. The young lady and gentleman who served us were polite, attentive, and professional. It was a delightful experience.

New to the area and needed to find a new veterinarian for our two fur babies.
They're doing great with the social distancing! The parking lot was full and strange two entry & exit will be my only complaint. I do have a large truck...not convenient but I was informed to park at the gas station next door.
Later that day, I made another appointment for Kitava to get her nails clipped....it was a quick process, didn't even have to leave the car to pay.

I've dropped my friend's dog here for boarding in the past but have never seen the whole facility until today. Today they were giving tours because it was customer appreciation day. They are an animal hospital so you will not find all the fancy playgrounds and toys like you do at pet resorts. What you will find is an extremely clean facility with rooms for examinations, surgery, dental cleaning, inside and outside runs for boarding dogs for more than a day, a seperate room for day boarding, cat cages upstairs with a window view, a grooming room, at least 4 receptionists so your wait is

We have been coming here for a year and a half. Compared to cheaper mobile pet vans in Jacksonville, however, the service and care here is comparable to my previous vet we went to periodically. Thankfully our dog has only needed regularly scheduled vaccines and such, but great advice was given when I thought she had bad allergies. The vet advised the use of Bravecto versus the liquid flea repellent and her allergy symptoms have since dispersed.

We have been bringing our dog to BAH for several years and really enjoy Dr. Steve and Dr. Justice. Dr. Justice has worked with our pet longer and is very accommodating (always returns calls in a timely manner, explains tests results clearly, spends adequate time with us/our pet, etc.). Almost all of the staff at BAH are excellent!
I do, however, have a problem with Brandy, one of the vet technicians. She is not personable, has poor bedside manner, and makes my dog uncomfortable. My dog shakes when Brandy comes into the room! I have witnessed her being rough with my dog, and I plan to ask

We are new to town and my fur baby became sick.
They did not hesitate to help from finding an appointment to giving advice.
The staff was so kind and loving to him.
I will definitely be back and will refer others to them.
The pricing wasn't awful either.
Just over 200 bucks for lab work visit and medicine.
