I am a client of Dr. Childers for years. I suppose I'm a bit fussy coming from a family with members in the medical professions. I have found his service absolutely stellar throughout the years I've used his service -- without a single item anything other than excellent.

Dr. Childers is amazing. He runs a very solid practice, very little turnover in staff, and he does what's needed, but doesn't push unnecessary treatments. He also stays current on best practices, and the office offers good hours.
Ask about the celebrity photos lining the walls. They aren't clients, but there's a great personal story there.

Dr. Childers is a fantastic dentist. I have been going to him for many years and have no intention of changing, even though I have moved from Oakland and have to drive to see him for an appointment. He has a fine office staff who have been with him for years. His office is very clean.
I believe his pricing is in line with what other dentists are charging,

Best experience from booking with the receptionist to getting x-rays done with the dental hygienist to bring seen by the dentist Kenneth Childers.
He was so thorough and detailed, explaining step by step what he's doing and why. I can't say enough about how great he is, coming from someone who usually fears and dreads dentists I'm actually looking forward to coming back and working with him to get my dental work done.

I have been a long-time patient of Dr. Childers but decided to switch dentist today. I came in for a cleaning and was charged a separate "exam fee" for the one minute that Dr. Childers spent looking at the x-ray. He did not look at my teeth at all. I called the office to inquire about the charge and was told, sorry, that was his time and that was that. This was not the only time - in past visits he also spent very little time looking at my actual teeth. I am extremely disappointed, as Dr. Childers is a nice and warm person, and his staff are wonderful. But after all, I am going to a dentist

Dr Childers and his staff are amazing! I came to him with a mouth full of major issues and a ton of dental anxiety. Everyone in this office is so sweet. Dr. Childers has completely fixed all of my problems with my teeth and I am thrilled with the work. He ended up referring me to a very good oral surgeon for my implant. He is extremely experienced, very calm and communicative and he's the first dentist I've ever really trusted. The dental hygenist is also amazing. I'm so grateful to have found them and would recommend them to anyone.

Okeydokey! I found this practice because a good friend of my husband works for the lab which makes crowns. He said this office had the fewest returns/redos; clearly the best work.
I have a mouth which would challenge any dentist both due to bite and childhood poor work. Over the 4 decades I have gone to him, he has consistently met the mark, both with accurate diagnosis and superior work. I have referred my family, our friends, my former employers, and actually set up a dental plan for MY employees with Dr. Childers. You need to have confidence in a dentist if you are willing to pay for

I have been going to Dr. Childers twice a year since 2001. He and his staff are amazing with people like myself, who dread dental visits. When I first went, I hadn't been at a dentist in a long time because of my fear, and the cleaning was therefore difficult. I was incredibly impressed with how patient, gentle, and kind with me. I actually had a root canal done by Dr. Childers because he said it was not that bad and he could do the work and save me the inconvenience and expense of going to an endodontist. The crown he put on was next to another crown and it left a "food pocket" because he did not approximate the crown well. I mentioned this to him a few times because I was concerned about long term effects and tired of having to floss after anything I ate and each time he said there was nothing he could do.
Frustrated, I went to another dentist, who without my saying anything, remarked

I went to Kenneth to get a second opinion for a crown. I had a dentist in SF say that I needed one when a small filling in the side of my back tooth fell out. I am very happy that I did because Mr. Childers saved me $800 by just re-filling the tooth and its been two years and I haven't had any problems. Also, Mr. Childers is very friendly!!!

Dr. Childers and his team are really fantastic. My wife is teeth cleaning fanatic whereas I am a consistent problem child who has to be constantly reminded to floss adequately. The Montclair Dental Team does a great job taking care of us both, communicating well and providing good, fast, effective care for both regular cleanings and more significant treatments. Our 4- and 7-year old children are now both happy patients as well and even look forward to going to the dentist!

Fantastic dentist. Dr. Childers has been taking care of our family for years. My five and seven year olds have always felt safe and and well cared for.
It is so nice to not have to worry about my kids being afraid to visit their dentist.
Dr. Childers has met me on weekends for emergencies.
We are very happy with our choice in dentists.

I have to say this review is very belated, but today I had such an amazing experience with Dr. Childers that I had to write immediately the moment I walked in the door.
Dr. Childers has been our family dentist since 2002. We have always had the best service from him, professionally and personally. Not only is he top class in his training but on a personal level he makes you feel so comfortable and at ease.
Today was exceptional however. I am 36 weeks pregnant and at an early lunch I broke a tooth with a filing. I was freaking out because today is Saturday. I left Dr. Childers a message and
