Had a large outdoor event over the summer at Barones and it was so much fun. The entire staff was so friendly, helpful, hard working and professional. It was such a great experience. The owners and their event coordinator are super friendly and helpful. They worked with us to make it a special event. It was such smooth sailing with no issues or problems. I would highly recommend having an event at Barones!! Plus the food was yummy too.

Fine Dining [Pleasanton CA]
Dined here with a group of colleagues, party of 12. The restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Pleasanton. Our reservation was at 6:30p but we arrived early since we were just a hop, skip and a jump away staying at the Rose Hotel on the corner of Main Street. We waited at their bar and lounge waiting area and had drinks from their bar.
We were led to our table and the place setting was beautiful. Complimentary warm bread and butter were served. For starters we had the Calamari and Scoozi (gorgonzola and green onion stuffed flatbread).

Second time @ Barone's, and the overall experience, was equally satisfactory as the first time.
From the host at the front desk to the end of dining, the service was impeccable, and somewhat of a rarity these days.
Made birthday dinner reservations to celebrate a friend, and upon arrival, requested a specific table; they made sure they accommodated our request, which made the whole experience AMAZING!

Pricey for food that is ok. The presentation of the plate was pretty but the potatoes had no flavor, and it was too much potatoes, the fish was ok. Drink was good and the music was great. Something I did like was the bread, the waitress brought to our table right out of the oven. The parking lot needs more light, it is dark and feels unsafe.

Celebrated a work function in their back patio venue and it was great for the party! Had about 130 people, they have a beautiful space with all the AV equipment. The bar is placed next to a beautiful tree and garden entrance. Sparkling lights line above the eating space. Just took off one star as the food was very average (not bad but not amazing) which maybe was a product of the size of our event. But recommend simply for the beautiful space they have!

The outdoor patio is quite beautiful, with tables spaced far apart and under canopies for shade. We were seated promptly and had friendly, attentive service. The food, however, with one exception, is a different story. The homemade bread with butter was quite delicious and clearly freshly-made - crusty, soft interior. I had rack of lamb which was $45 and I and my dining companions were unimpressed. The meat was tough, gristly and not well prepared at all. The potatoes were dry, clearly fried at some point earlier in the day and reheated (they almost tasted like frozen potatoes, actually) and definitely

Used to come here when I grew up in menlo park and loved it as well as Kepler's Books for years. I came today celebrating the life of my best friend's mother and sat outside and paid over $400 for food and drinks with our two well-behaved dogs. We tipped well. They explained they don't have dog bowls so one of our party put a plate down for water. The employee with the long brown hair wearing it in a bun came to our table and very condescendingly told us that we can't use the plate for the dogs. My mother didn't hear and asked what he said, and he was very curt and with
