New management is absolutely exhausting to deal with. Just rude without any regard for their tenants as if word of mouth doesn't spread, and fast as many residents haven't given a good review the last good reviews were for old management hmmmm. I called to verify if someone was working on my building as there has been obnoxious banging on the side of my building all day, (which siding doesn't take that long) the lady that answered told me she couldn't "fact check it" and I'm inquiring further like who can confirm if this is legit since MOST decent places will make their tenants aware of when someone

So I did the whole application process yesterday and paid $190.00 for the application process and to hold the apartment and How the hell did I get denied for the apartment in less than 24 hours. They didn't bother to call me or send a email to tell me why?? It takes less then 24 hours to run credit, check background, call my landlord where I live now for the past 3 years and never ask for his name or number to ask about his tenant?? I THINK THIS PROPERTY TAKES PEOPLE MONEY then denies them! I make over 3x times the income, no Felonies, never been evicted in any places I lived. I'm kinda glad this

I am currently a tenant at Valley Stream. I unfortunately did have to renew my lease until August when I leave for graduate school. I currently have squirrels living in my walls and they have been there for over a month. I can access the nest because there is a cavity in the back of my closet where the water heater is and it is covered by a thin piece of removable drywall. All the sheet rock is also completely crumbled creating lots of crevices for the squirrels to live. I have been told on multiple occasions that this would be fixed and it hasn’t. The clawing at the walls and running around

They make you carry a cut-rate insurance policy for renters and won’t accept State Farm. We continued to carry 2 insurance policies while we physically lived in the unit. Valley Stream will charge you $50 if you don’t carry this sketchy renter’s policy.
The older woman in the office is RUDE RUDE RUDE. Unprofessional and unhelpful. She cut me off mid sentence to help someone else who walked in, when she told my husband and I to wait when we walked in the office. She called me by the wrong name several times, even after I corrected her. My name has never been Jessica.

I would not move here. They never get work orders in. If you ask to talk to someone you never will. Very unprofessional. There office is always closed even though they say they are open 9-6. This isn’t just a typical business these are people’s homes and they do not get the help or security they need what so ever Things in The apartment are quick fixed and then the next second they fall apart they are way too much money for what they are worth. It’s said bc they could be way nicer and the area could be maintained way better but this new management is Atrocious. When you are a person that

I have lived here for over two years. The first year I had no air-conditioning, I put in multiple orders to get it fixed and there was always a mistake on their end. I went to the full summer without air-conditioning. I had to purchase a window unit. I have transferred to a different unit for the second half of my residence. There are maintenance issues that I have reported but remain unresolved. They charge somewhere around $27 to pay your rent online with you debit/credit cart which is extravagant. They don't accept cash or checks. So if you're a busy person who cannot make it to the

We had just moved in. First impression when getting ready to sign a lease was a disaster. They moved us into a different unit instead of the one we paid to have them hold. Although it was fixed after talking to the manager directly instead of our leasing agent. When we got to our unit, it smelled HORRIBLE of cat pee, we figured we could steam clean and have it fixed, how ever with 3 failed attempts, maintenance gave us new flooring within a day. The unit was pretty dirty when we first moved in, luckily they cleaned it over again for us. So far every bad thing that has happened to us was fixed with

I moved out of Valley Stream about 4 months ago because I had to relocate for the military but my time there was good. The appliances are old, however, they all worked perfectly which is what really matters. I’d recommend getting an upper unit, not just for this apartment but for any apartment in general. The staff always treated us with respect. After vacating, my wife and I got our security deposit back extremely fast because we took care of the unit and deep cleaned it before moving out. Do what’s expected of you as a tenant, and things will most likely work out for you.

My air conditioner had been out since July 2nd and they haven't been able to fix it yet. its July 16th. My apartment is uninhabitable due to the heat and most of the time I have to stay with my parents.

Update as of May 24, apartment is infested with mice and they have done nothing about it. Called me on Monday or Tuesday, cant remember, left me a voicemail saying that I missed the exterminator by 5 minutes because I didn't give permission for him to enter. Pretty sure when I signed my lease I agreed for maintenance or whoever needed to fix a problem can enter if I'm not there. Furthermore, can't you call another exterminator?!?! They said he is not coming back until June 11. Unacceptable. I am about to call one myself and send them the bill. I feel like I'm paying $735 to

I have had the worst experience living in this community ever. This community would be better managed by children. I have not had one request for maintenance successfully fulfilled. My pipes froze on Monday, and when I called maintenance, they told me half the community was without heat, and the other half had frozen pipes. The solution-space heaters...so drive up my electric bill instead of hiring a plumber to come in and solve the problem?
I have not yet technically been able to wash my laundry in this community. Why? At first because the machine to load the card was down....for three

I moved out a few years ago but had to come say JUNK water lines freeze regularly holes in wall to get heat in covered with vents and allow all cold into living area people running it are a joke and when u move out the bill is not itemized they send it last legal day to do it and send it immediately to debt collectors also. Parking lot beat to hell destroys cars suspension. This was the worst I lived in. Furnace and water heater are in three seasons room that have open venting to outdoors right on side of wall. Maintenance man said people who built it build in warmer climates didn't know waterline

When I moved to Valley Stream last year, they were awesome. They were flexible and understandable. Then they got a new manager. She is unworkable, unflexible and completely infuriating. Before they waived fees, they were reasonable and made you feel like they valued you. Now there is little understanding. I have turned in notice to move out this month. I have been unable to proceed due to icy walkways, large falling icicles that fall from the roof and are dangerous. They just NOW requested special parking for plowing when there are so few parking spots due to the pathetic plow job this season.

This place has really gone downhill. The office does not even respond to messages you leave them and maintenance takes weeks to come and complete simple tasks. Yelp made me give at least one star but if I could give negative stars that's what they would get.
