Indoor cycling, as an organized activity, is a form of exercise with classes focusing on endurance, strength, intervals, high intensity (race days) and recovery, and involves using a special stationary exercise bicycle with a weighted flywheel in a classroom setting. Staff is generally friendly but I had to cancel because of one particular gentleman who kept hackling me for not having my mask up above my nose which is fair but not when they proceed to walk by other people doing the same exact thing and not say a word.

I have been a member at this gym for a year now. Good facility, most equipment is in good condition and professional, attentive staff. The only issue I have is that roughly a month ago (mid-November) a front desk staff member said the owner was considering moving the operating hours back to close LATER during the week. As of this post, the hours still remain the same: Monday to Friday until 8:00pm, Saturday and Sunday until 6:00pm. Considering members are paying $55 per month for a membership and competitors are open later, could the operating hours therefore not go back to closing at 10:00pm during

Great staff peaceful setting. Good luck trying to cancel this place you have to show your liver and give an arm to cancel. Update(11/9/2021: Gotta call from the person handle the cancelation on why I posted this and I told her I'm clearly going through a hardship in life but it's not enough for her to cancel my membership.

(1) There is mold growing on the ceiling from where the water is coming in. (2) The men's room sauna hasn't worked since the Obama administration. (3)The WIFI has been out for almost as long.
For being one of the most expensive gyms in the area, it is as clear as the mold that is place is going under.
Read other reviews to see how much of a headache Cinzia Paolini makes when you try canceling a membership.
The park behind this building has more value during a thunder storm than this place. It's free and you don't have to deal with the staff :)

Gym is gross, but I love working out in the women's only section. Practically have a room to myself. Make sure to cancel your membership 3 months in advance.

I love my gym (it's been almost a year since I've attended!) This place is a gem. I feel safe, I have ample space to do my workouts whatever that may be (jump rope, kicks, yoga, running in the large space upstairs when unoccupied). The offered classes are comprehensive and the instructors are truly the best I've had in my 10+ years in the Boston area. The front desk staff are knowledgable and truly kind people. I hope to be able to come here for a long time.

This gym continues to be the worst. I went back after two years to inquire about what had been done to improve it. In a word, nothing. Staff is unfriendly and arrogant. Won't answer questions about pricing or policies. So if they rub down equipment for COVID, good for them. They are unfriendly, arrogant and they lie. Join at you peril

Then again, most gyms are sketchy on their contracts at best.

We tried canceling two memberships numerous times and were under the impression that the cancellation went through. It’s a pain to cancel with evolve fitness to begin with because you have to go through a third party (ABC Finance) to have it sorted it out. Months later we receive a call from a collections agency that we owed $800+ (mind you, we had not received any communication from evolve fitness during this time to notify us that we had any balance due).
Eventually we were able to get this issue resolved but the process was quite irritating as it shouldn’t have happened to begin with. It’s

After moving across the country to CA the first week of November and I notified Evolve mid November that I needed to end my membership. I was informed that I would still have to pay a monthly membership fee for December, regardless if I was able to use the gym or not. Even after pleading my situation the response was the same: sorry you've moved, we're still going to charge you for a month when you can't even use the gym - no exceptions. After we've gotten our last payment we will end your membership. Further I f you block that December payment we will not end your membership

Beware of Evolve's Unfit Contractual Agreement!
In good faith, I froze my membership for 3 months when gyms were closed due to Covid. At the end of 3 months, I called to cancel. I received a callback inviting me to freeze my membership for another 3 months which I was told initially would not be possible. My credit card was then charged the total monthly fee! They claimed this was due to timing and issued me a credit into November. After reading about the gym's discounted student rate and the potential for a serious increase in exposure to the virus, I called to cancel my membership

I have been a long time member and love the facilities. I am seriously thinking about canceling my membership; however, due to their handling of the covid situation. They have all the window dressing in place to give the impression that they are in compliance with covid regulations but a quick walk around tells a different story. Lots of meatheads with their masks either off or half way off giving no thought to anyone else. Complaints to staff are brushed off. They need to get serious about the meatheads or close until they figure it out.

Greedy mediocre gym. They don't have screens on their elipticals. And once you're under a contract they will never cancel you, even amid the covid crisis. You're suppose to cancel in person but their gyms are closed. And the BEST they could do is freeze the account? Beware of their contracts and beware of providing your bank accounts because they will NEVER cancel you.

I have been working out here for a month and I plan to continue. This gym has a diverse atmosphere of people and the staff are upbeat and friendly. The small group personal training is led by Leena Ryan ans Stewart who are all amazing. The training classes are great and challenging. The womens locker room is clean and nice. This place has a laid back good vibes come check it out!!

Long story short June of last year I purchased 30 E-Cryo sessions for $23.33 per session, I purchased them from the gym manager Lucio Paolini. I payed in full, I had a year to use all 30 sessions, and began using them. However due to an injury and scheduling issues with physical therapy I couldn't use them for a while. On Wednesday March 27th, I went to their website to schedule my 4th session and to begin using them more frequently. I went onto the gym's website, and could not find the icon to schedule the service. I called evolve fitness and was told that they removed the e-cryo service

I suppose I have a limited perspective since I've never belonged to another gym. Still, I'd say that this one's great.

It has a good range of equipment and is conveniently located (for me, anyway). It offers parking for when I drive there. It's a pleasant environment, pretty low key and filled with a mixed and easy-going bunch of people. The staff are pleasant and the trainers are very welcoming (I've worked with a few in the past) and knowledgeable. In the summer, I wish they'd turn up the A/C more, but that's the closest I get to a complaint; that said

I've been a member of this gym since September. It's in a hidden location but not usually very busy which is a plus. The locker room is mediocre, one of the shower curtains is missing, and the showers don't feel very clean. But that's fine, the membership cost isn't very high.

The reason for the poor rating is for temperature control and poor customer service. There have been consistent issues with the workout rooms upstairs being way too hot (I'm talking like 80 for cardio fitness classes). The owner has a very quick temper and treated me very poorly when I emailed

After being a member here for over three years, I want to update my review. I come here for Body Combat as it's the closest gym to my home/work that offers that class. Joe and Izzy are amazing. I love their classes-such great people taking them, a fun energy and both instructors are wonderful.

That said, there are some things about this gym that really bother me. They are unreliable at best in communicating when there is a sub. They need to focus on building up a better sub base for their popular classes. Their app stinks and they cannot seem to manipulate it to get class start times accurate

Evolve is a steal, compared to other high-priced gyms in the area. Both the gym itself and the locker rooms are well-maintained and clean, the front desk staff members are helpful, classes are included in the basic membership, the free weight area is rarely overcrowded, and there's a hip thruster! But best of all, most members are mature adults between the ages of 25 and 55. Everyone shares equipment, cleans up after themselves, and keeps their music at a volume level that only they can hear.

The facility was fine in my opinion, but the customer service is equivalent to unicorns. It just doesn't even exist. I called to cancel my membership over a year ago and although I thought it was all resolved over the phone, I'm finding I've been charged all year for a gym I don't even go to anymore.

I called back recently where I was told to cancel with the billing agency via email. It's been 2 weeks with no reply although they promised a reply within 3-5 business days. I'm apparently not the only one getting charged when I shouldn't be, so avoid this place

I have been going to this gym for 3 years now, but didn't think to check in on yelp or leave a comment. I love their classes - they have a large selection, great instructors, something for everyone, and they keep me happily in shape. Can reserve a spot in a class up to 24 hours in advance, and some classes fill soon (are more popular than others). Overall the gym is well organized and a fun place to be. I am a fan!

The facilities are fine, but don't ever talk to me about Evolve Fitness ever again. Their customer service is among the worst I have ever experienced (and that includes Chinatown, where I was once told to "get it yourself!"). They do not know how to conduct business and maintain relationships, but they are just out to squeeze every last dollar they can from people.

Let me recount for you three instances where they totally wronged me and my wife to illustrate.

If you come for classes, beware. Schedules are totally inaccurate and seldom updated and the staff has no idea what is going on. A great teacher left and there has been no replacement for 3 months!! Staff still think she works there. There is little consideration to what the clientele wants in terms of classes and scheduling.
Membership doubled since joining and quality goes down each year.
On the upside, the gym is clean and the equipment is good.

Beware of this gym's unprofessional staff/management! Although the facility itself is nice and group classes are well taught, I can't even believe the unethical behavior that I experienced from mngmnt. at this place when I was a member several years ago.

It first started when I signed up for personal training. Immediately after I signed my costly contract, I called to cancel within 1 day, and staff was completely unresponsive, telling me the owner would give me a call back, which he never did until it was too late to cancel. I give Evolve 4.5 stars. I've been a member here off and on for the last 3 years - recently, I went out and evaluated other places in the area, considering a switch. Maybe change is good- maybe there's a slightly better location for my commute- but I honestly did not find a better value for the money.

This gym has very clean and well-organized facilities. You can tell the owner, management and trainers care about the facility - they're all courteous and seem willing to answer questions most any time. I go early-ish in the mornings, and almost never have to wait to use a piece

Just joined and am psyched that I am getting a two for one gym.

I just signed up for a great deal for less than $30 a month and they have two spots, one in Framingham and a Cambridge location.

The place is clean with nice bright natural light.

There is a separate women's work out area, spin room and women's locker room upstairs.

They have training, cardio and weights on the main level.

They are open from 5 - 10 so now there is no reason for me not to get in a work out, right?

The women at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.
