When you go to a mechanic, unless you really know your way around cars, there's always a question in your mind if they're being honest with you and telling you what really needs to be fixed versus recommendations based off of profit.

At least that's how it was for me, until I found Ray's auto care. On more than one occasion, they have consistently proven they are straight shooters, honest, and provide reliable recommendations on repairs for a fair price.

Ed has fixed my car a few times now! He's great& so is everyone else there. Honest, good work

Ray's has always been great. Steve, Joe, Ed, and even Ray are all fantastic. If there's an issue with your car, and you want it done right the first time, look no further.

Rays was recommended to us by two different people so we thought we'd give them a try. They were able to pinpoint the problem in an extremely timely manner, were very knowledgeable and friendly. A good mechanic is hard to find. These guys have earned our return business.

I took my car here this week to get my alternator replaced. Ed did the work charged me a bit high. I didn't complain.
The next day I took my sons car here to get a gas pump replaced. He tried to charge me nearly a $1000.00 lol. I was really not going to fall for that. I called around and everyone else was 300-400 parts and labor. HYUNDAI was going to charge me 525.00. Well I tried to explain to Ed that I thought he was over charging me. He got real angry and said in Very angry tone " come get your car out of here then"

Brought my van in to get the door fixed. They replaced my handle for $100 (which was perfectly usable) and then tried to charge me $200 for the actual part needed to fix it (latch assembly). $250 turned into $650 without anything actually being done to fix my problem (they also asked me to pick up the part in Garden Grove and drop it off). I brought my vehicle to them because they were recommended for a full overhaul but now I don't want anything to do with the place. Called this place for a quote, and they were rather rude on the phone. So we decided to pay more and go do an alignment at Taylor Co for higher price instead.

Reliable, Honest and overall a great bunch of mechanics. It's nice to finally have a place I can take my work van, Truck and old Nova and know the repairs will be done right and suggestions made by them are actually truth and not a sales pitch or attempt to get a larger bill .

I took my car in to find out they charge $92 to diagnose the problem. However, that $92 'may or may not go towards fixing the problem ' because it 'depends on what's wrong.' That sounds awfully convenient for them. I wonder if the diagnosis fee can EVER be applied towards fixing the car or if it always falls outside the guidelines??? They took my car for a test drive, which was free, came back with a diagnosis, that of course could not have the $92 applied towards fixing it if I chose to have them do so. I'm months behind in this review, going back to about August. I had an emergency repair job done on a Nissan XTerra up in Oregon that entailed a new radiator. A few weeks later, back home in Yorba Linda, I was finding a major fluid leak and th vehicle would overheat. I got it over to Ray's since getting it to Stadium Nissan in Orange might not work without causing significant damage.

There was a nick in the radiator that caused the leak. It took a while for them to find, a day, a goofy pressure issue to replicate the problem. They knew it was from a recent repair under warranty

I was a resident of colton. So I have been taking my car here for a while, until I took it to another mechanic and learned they are just out to make more money off of me, I had another shop fix something I had took into rays, which he told me it would cost $700. They fixed it for $250. Now that ive found an honest mechanic will never give any business to rays, BEWARE, I hope they go out of business,for taking advantage of kind people.

I had a problem with my work van and I needed it fixed fast. Ed quickly pointed out a transmission problem and told me I should check my warranty with Ford. He could have easily just quoted me for the repairs and made some money off of me. It turns out the van is still under warranty for this type of problem and I probably would have spent a ton of money to fix it myself.

Summary: Ray stuck around after hours just to help me out, repaired the car quickly, and charged a fair price. Nice, trustworthy guy. His employees were great to deal with on the phone.

Longer version: My wife's car busted a CV boot, so I was scrambling to call a mechanic at 5:59 pm. He offered to wait until I got there, in spite of the fact that he was closing up shop. Super friendly, even gave me a ride home with my kids' two car seats in the back of his truck! Seriously, you don't find this kind of small town service very often.

I was pleasantly surprised with the level of service. The mechanics are all very honest and knowledgeable a combination that can be hard to come by these days.
I took my car in for a break service, the price was fair and the turnaround was fast. I will use these guys in the future.

I can't sing enough praises for Rays Auto Care. I've gone there twice and both times Ed has helped me.

The first time I went was for a battery problem and I was nervous because I had never gone to this mechanic before and haven't had any good experiences with a mechanic (and seriously, who has?). Rays is really close to home so it was the most convenient. I was prepared to pay top dollar but was pleasantly surprised when he solved my problem at a fair price.

I won't hesitate to bring my cars here because I know they aren't trying to squeeze me for all my pennies.

Rays auto care has taken care of my vehicles for years! Clean facility with a very friendly staff. Its hard nowadays to find honest people in any industry and Rays truly makes you feel like family.
