Today was our first time at the WZ. We came in today for their brunch. The choices on the menu were numerous with much variety.
We started with the Homard mussels. This was a generous pot of mussels cooked in a creamy lobster sauce. These mussels were all juicy and tender with a nice portion that we split among the 3 of us in a party of 4. The best thing was that the lobster sauce was so delicious that it was like an added bonus, getting about 5 bowls of the lobster "bisque type" sauce out of the pot. Combine that with the bread, and what a messy but yummy soup we had!!! We

I've been to Waterzooi multiple times in the past few years, and I always have a great time. The staff is excellent and everything I have eaten is absolutely delicious! The mussels really are a must, there is not a bad pot on menu.
My most recent visit included my first time in an outdoor igloo, Waterzooi's most recent flexible covid seating. They had recently installed heat lamps in the igloos and it was a very fun and cozy experience. Sipping quality pilsner, enjoying the radiant heat and fairy lights of the outdoor patio, and slowly devouring half my weight in seafood, what more could you want

If you do not start off your meal with a spicy dirty martini, you are starting off wrong. Though pricy at $17/drink they are sure to make the meal!!! We enjoyed the gnocchi appetizer and grilled octopus, the Octopus was cooked perfectly and the gnocchi had great flavor ! For entrees the mussels pot with the lobster sauce was amazing!!! Steamed perfectly and the sauce was delicious with chunks of lobster meat!! The other entree was a surf and turf, the surf was a lobster that was excellent but the turf left something to be desired (a bit chewy) but overall didn't take away from an excellent

Great spot to meet friends and eat some delicious food. We went for brunch. It wasn't very crowded when we were there but we had a reservation just in case. All of the food was outstanding and everyone loved what they ordered. I had the spicy tuna tartare and lobster Mac and cheese and they were both incredible. I took a star off because I thought the drinks and drink menus were a bit overpriced. I will for sure be back.

Such an amazing restaurant! The Kumamoto oysters were the best oysters I’ve ever had! The escargot was awesome as well! I have had many fra diavolo dishes and while this one was very good it definitely wasn’t in my top 5. One thing is There we’re no squid tentacles, just the “rings” as some may call them, which is why I am only giving 4 stars. Great atmosphere, great waiter, great food!

I was not that excited node this spot was invited by a friend. It more an oyster bar than a bistro of any sort I was expecting. I just had the lobster croquets and chômage cake. The cake was delish very chocolate rich and thick.
The lobster rolls were okay. My friend had the burger and brought home half. I tried it the next day and it's a nice burger. Tender and juicy ever after a toaster oven reheat.
At my table others had the lobster roll which looked well stuffed with lobster and the calamari which wasn't on the menues we were handed but apparently is on the menue tou just need

I have not been to this establishment in several years but always enjoyed the service and food. Recently we came for brunch on Sunday since they offered avocado toast which works for me since I'm a vegetarian. It was a lovely sunny day so we requested to be seated outside. The tables were nicely spaced and there was adequate coverage from direct sun exposure. The staff was attentive and professional. We started with the butternut squash gnocchi which was so good. I should mention I don't like tradition gnocchi because of thr texture. The butternut squash gnocchi came in a lovely cream

Waterzooi is definitely a must go to spot, and for good reason. They've been established for over 20 years with unbelievable service as well as fantastic Belgian cuisine. The mussels pot is a must have, but whatever you choose from this well diverse menu will certainly satisfy your craving and/or curiosity. From a fantastic variety beer list, an assortment of fresh oysters, to even dessert, you will NOT be disappointed! I hope you learn to love this well established business as much as I have. Bon appetit!

Stopped by for dinner on Labor day weekend as a party of 5! We ordered escargot, brussel sprouts, 2 mussel pots (paella and calabrian), steak frites, the Waterzooi entree, and the Fra diavlo.
Highlights were the brussel sprouts, paella mussel pot, steak, and fra diavlo! The paella broth was delicious, and perfect with bread. We definitely preferred this over the calabrian pot, which really wasn't anything to write home about. The steak was also cooked perfectly, and I was pleasantly surprised by the fra diavlo. I'm not a huge fan of seafood pastas, but this pasta was perfect with a nice

Attention Seafood Lovers! This place is highly recommended if you like fresh seafood!!! Be warned, it's pricey - but we'll worth it!
They have outdoor dining, which we took advantage of, with the nice weather. We arrived at 1:30 and for a nice NnuFriday the place had a decent amount of people. Service was quick - to be seated and place our order. Our server was so pleasant. We got the blue point oysters, and the lobster croquettes for apps. And the burger and steak sandwich. It looked like most stuck with seafood entrees. We usually get the mussel pot but the oysters filled us up

I was curious with the fabulous review so I made a dinner reservation for this restaurant. My take on this dining place-
Typical French bistro in the center of Garden City. Plenty of outdoor seating and very clean. We were seated promptly for a Saturday 5:15pm early dinner reservation. We had an excellent server, was courteous and attentive.
The hype was the mussels so we tried that for appetizers. We don't like creamy broth so we tried the Provençal style. Unfortunately it didn't meet our expectations. We had better and the mussels though ample, were grainy.
We ordered salad

We were able to walk in for our reservation and be seated maybe 25 mins later around 9pm. They had really cool outdoor seating available in a plastic bubble. Considering the warm temperature, I will say the heat is a little more elevated in the bubble as there is no wind lol.
Upon entry through what I presume was the back door facing the Main Street (their front door is to the parking lot with the hostess stand), we entered a crowded high energy restaurant. Mistakenly looked in the kitchen, and I admit it was a bit of a mess. But busy night.
Once seated, our waitress greeted us. We decided

I had eaten at this restaurant many years ago and remember it was an okay dining experience. Maybe it is why I had stayed away for so long.
Recently I was in the area and got a recommendation from Open Table when I checked any open reservation slots. There were some slots left in the late evening and I waited for the confirmation and headed to the restaurant to check in on time. I understand that with all the safety protocols including limited indoor dining capacity, that reservation slots can disappear quickly (especially for popular restaurants).

This place deserve every single last star! I'm sure the pictures speaks for itself, but I must write. 1st and foremost I recommend everything on the menu because you really can't go wrong here. It just depends on your acquired taste. I ordered the homard muscle
Pot and it's definitely shareable. The best part of the Homard is the sauce and huge chunks of lobster. I didn't quite enjoy the Mac & cheese because it was more milky than cheese (less milk & more cheese please!) but it still tasted great! My waiter was very knowledgeable and awesome ! The drinks are excellent

Came here during the pandemic because I missed the mussel pots.
There are igloos in the outdoor tent. Indoor there is social distancing. The day I went we seem to be the only customers for a Tuesday in December.
The server and staff were very attentive and checked in to make sure we have everything we need. If you would like bread, you need to request it.
We ordered:
- Burrata Mozzarella -- as delicious as usual.
- Spinach Dip - still as addictive.
- Truffled Lobster Mac and Cheese - it's definitely homemade and not your box made.
- Homard Mussel Pot - is tasty and the standard to

The decor of Waterzooi Belgian Bistro & Oyster Bar is outmoded but elegant and cozy. The outdoor and indoor dining are both currently available. We did a reservation via OpenTable and the process went smoothly.
The waitress is friendly, attentive and introduced all her recommendation in details. We had their daily special Hudson Valley Foie Gras and Crispy Duck Confit with Arugula as appetizers. The cheese stuffed fig was amazingly delicious, soft inside with caramelized crispy layer and the taste was between sweet and salty. The sliced duck confit in the salad was not our type, too hard
