We moved less than a block from our old location into the old Damon's Ribs building. Our original goal was to open Kiku at this location. After the tornado that swept through Springfield, Damon's never reopened leaving the building in limbo. We opened the restaurant across the street hoping that one day the Damon's building would become available.

We are glad to say that it is now "The Kiku Building". Offering the space and layout we wanted allowed us to give you a true Japanese Steak and Seafood House experience. In Springfield, Kiku Japanese Steak & Seafood is providing a quality dining experience to the community. Guests are greeted by a friendly and professional staff that works to ensure a pleasant dining experience.

Menu Report

We have added Taiwanese and Korean Cuisine to our new menu. You will find your favorite dishes and so much more. Having just one favorite dish at Kiku is now impossible. Trying different cuisine will expand your taste and give an appreciation for Asian foods. We have chosen the best recipes from these countries and prepare them fresh using authentic ingredients.

I had a noon meeting in Springfield and arrived here a little after 11:00. There was no crowd, so I was served quickly. Also, the sushi tasted really good, so I would return.

Be careful with takeout here! You will be charged the same price but will not get the same thing compared to if you dine in. Ordered the hibachi dinner payed our $65 for a nice dinner. Upon arriving home we came to realize we did not get the big portion of noodles for either dinner. We wondered so we called the restaurant and the man on the phone said he did not understand our question and that the noodles do not come with entree if you carry out but do when you dine in but both are the same price. Seems a bit unfair to me.

Was amazing. Went around 6 got seated right away and took our apps down while waited. I got the Pork Katsu Dinner it was incredible. Also a pic of their Miso Soup that came with the dinner!

I had the pink lady roll. Always do a cooked roll first, at a new spot! It was deliciousness!! And the service was on point. Look forward to a repeat. I would like to see more tofu options. Like sesame tofu or tofu and broccoli. They do have agedashi tofu in the apps.

Everything I got to try surpassed my expectations. I love sushi but Kiku set the bar pretty high. Very fresh tasting sushi. Volcano roll and shrimp tempura roll are definitely my favorites. Definitely coming back, would love to try the hibachi grill.

We went for supper at 5pm. It was nice to be seated right away and not have to wait to be served hibachi until others arrived. Our waiter and hibachi cook were amazing. The food was great. The cook was very entertaining and since we were by ourselves it was a little romantic.

Awesome sushi and great service. Waitress was helpful, friendly and attentive. It's a little pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. Great atmosphere and I had a good time.

A family favorite! The sushi is fresh and handrolled right in front of us. They have traditional sushi plates and unique, one of a kind dishes as well: Beautiful plating that tastes even better!

Wife and I had dinner here last night. Chicken satay, California roll, Miso soup, Beef box dinner. Neither of us felt it was anything special. Both the chicken & beef (beef medium rare ordered) were overcooked and tuff. I guess this is why you don't here a lot of people talking about this place. I don't think we will be returning. Osaka is our choice.

I Stopped of for lunch! Craving Sushi and Korean BBQ. Had the Playboy Roll. It was really nice. Great staff! I was well taken care of. They have Hibachi grill tables also. So many options to choose from.
