Lizette Martinez is a therapist who specializes in treating Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Suicidality, Grief, Loss, LatinX issues, and family issues. Lizette is based in San Francisco and offers convenient online booking and online therapy appointments. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her baby, cooking, dancing, watching movies, and really just doing nothing at all!
At Calm Again Counseling, anxiety isn't a general issue we treat, it's our entire focus. We've dedicated our lives to receive the best training out there in order to help you feel better faster. The thing is, anxiety is actually very treatable with evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
When your anger goes unchecked, it gets in the way of your work, relationships, and sometimes even your health. Difficulty dealing with typical daily stressors like traffic, waiting in line, being told "no, " etc. We'll equip you with anger management tools that you can start using as soon as the first session.
CBT is the 'gold standard' for treating issues such as anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, and depression, but not everyone who benefits from CBT has to meet the above criteria. CBT is typically a short-term approach which means you won't have to wait weeks or months to start seeing real results, many times you can see results in just a few sessions, and overcome anxiety or depression in as little as 8-15 sessions!
Some degree of sadness or grief is a normal part of life, but when it starts to get in the way of living your daily life, or doesn't go away, getting help can be a good option. The thing is, depression is not just an extreme version of sadness, it doesn't mean you're "mentally weak", and it's not always tied to a circumstance.

Leah is an extraordinary therapist. She has a way of making her clients feel comfortable, seen, and valued almost instantly. Her compassion, sensitivity, wisdom, and humor has offered countless clients a safe place by which to heal and recover. Leah is the kind of therapist that relates well to people with very diverse needs and concerns because she meets her clients where they are with an open mind and heart. In my 33 years as a therapist I have rarely seen such a gifted therapist and I recommend her with my highest praise.

I can't say enough positive things about John Clarke. He is a great therapist who cares deeply about helping others. He has a great deal of experience in working with both young people and adults and has developed a skill set that is truly effective in helping people accomplish their therapy goals. As a fellow provider, it is of upmost importance that I can refer people to excellent therapists like John so they can get the care they need. John is truly an asset to the San Francisco therapy community.

John is an incredible therapist. I’ve tried other therapists before but they just gave platitudes and tried to jump right into solution mode. John takes the time to really understand your situation and piece by piece, work through things in a way that sets you up for long term success.

I’ve know John as a colleague for years. He has helped people with anxiety by using an evidence-based approach called CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy). John is very smart and a consummate professional, but he his presence of warmth, humility and humor makes him a joy to be in the room with.
