I received the "2010-2011 Graduate Counseling Student of the Year Award" from the Marymount University Counseling Department in May of 2011. I received the reward in recognition of my achievements in academics, clinical experiences, community service, and scholarship. Primary responsibilities include completing personal consultations (intakes) and providing short-term counseling services to college students, graduate students, and faculty/staff.
Contribute to staff meetings, assist in implementing programming, engage in outreach opportunities, assist in the supervision and training of interns and externs, and promote awareness of mental health concerns with students, faculty/staff, and parents. Serve in an on-call rotation, once a week in the office and after hours 3 weeks per semester.

Services
At the end of the day - I want to tailor the counseling experience to the specific needs of the person(s) I am helping. I am happy to explain in as much or as little depth as you would like, what I mean when I am referring to those above theoretical orientations. I will talk about these approaches during the phone consultation and during sessions.
