Services
San Francisco's Barbary Coast was then a rough and tumble neighborhood in a wild, and badly period in the city's history. Miners, gamblers, and sailors of all description cluttered the saloons and taverns. It was the jumping off point to the Sierra's rich gold fields. Angelo Del Monte immigrated to America to make his fortune in the California Gold Rush.
FIOR d'Italia has served its authentic Northern Italian cuisine for over 133 years. Founded in 1886, The Fior is the oldest Italian restaurant in America dedicated to this cuisine and features traditional recipes that "Mama" made for the family in Northern Italy. Italy is a fairly small country whose mountainous regions and almost 5000 miles of coastline form countless pockets of unique micro-climates.
Nothing beats Fior d'Italia when you're craving authentic Italian food. Located in North Beach San Francisco, we offer delicious Northern Italian dishes made from the finest and freshest ingredients available. Chef Gianni Audieri believes that "traditional Italian cuisine has soul" and should be the focus of the restaurant's menu.
Find the perfect way to make it through the day with a delicious lunch at Fior d' Italia. Our lunch menu features a fantastic selection of appetizers, crisp salads, fresh pastas, and sandwiches. We also offer a variety of daily specials that will help you make it through the afternoon grind. Top everything off with a sweet treat or cappuccino and you'll be ready for anything.
Nobody does bar food quite like Fior d'Italia. Whether you're in the mood for something on the lighter side or you're just grabbing a quick bite before the game, Chef Gianni Audieri has created the perfect spuntini (small plates) menu for your enjoyment. Pair our Spicy Chicken Wings or Oysters on the Half Shell with one of our signature House Cocktails.

Exceptional Italian restaurant. The staff was super attentive and courteous. The menu offers a wide variety of traditional and specialty Italian dishes cooked very well. Wide variety of wine selection. Pricing was very reasonable for the high level of quality. Definitely a place I would recommend to friends and family.

Had the most wonderful experience dining here for Thanksgiving! We were promptly seated for our reservation. Waiting for our family to arrive i had brought in a center piece I made for them and our host welcomed it. Our family arrived and grandpa wanted a private table in the back after we had already been seated for some time. The host went out of his way to oblige him knowing he may have gotten in trouble. I must applaud our waiter Alberto who recommending the clam pasta(10/10) for me showed such patience with my family especially my demanding grandpa. I lost they cell phone in the midst of the

Fantastic service, the pasta is so good. They have dried pasta options and fresh pasta made from scratch from the morning. The servers were very hospitable, shared great history about the restaurant, and were fun to talk with. The ravioli, gnocchi, gelato, wine selections, and cannoli were very tasty. Would highly recommend anyone to visit here!

I celebrated my birthday dinner here with my friends after a long day of shopping. Everything about this place is great. Great location, great service, great food, etc I can just go on! Our server was so friendly and attentive even though he was busy. We ordered trenette al pesto (5/5) it was amazing! My friend got the pumpkin ravioli which was also really good! Just tasted a little weird at first because of the sweetness, but she got used to it. We also had to get dessert since we saw a table nearby get the tiramisu. We got the tiramisu and vanilla gelato ice cream. Oh my goodness it was delicious

Went here for dinner on a whim prior to attending a comedy show at the nearby Cobb's Comedy Club. My girlfriend and I didn't really know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised to find that Fior d'Italia not only provided excellent service, but also serves the most delicious handmade pasta either of us ever had! In addition to the amazing pasta and prompt service, I am also happy to report that the bartenders at F'ior can serve up a delicious Negroni. We each also ordered are a Martini... they weren't bad but the bartender did not double strain and we ended up with

I feel like a simple short review is best for this establishment. You can tell they've mastered their craft and have a small-ish menu but everything was amazing. From my plate, to veal, to chicken Parmesan and a seafood risotto everything was delicious. You really can't go wrong. Selection of wine was also great, our server recommended a red wine that went well with all of our dishes so we could just buy the whole bottle.

Came here for SF restaurant week - they had a $25 dinner special that included a Caesar salad, spaghetti and meatballs, and tiramisu (+ complimentary bread). I was stuffed by the end! Everything was delicious too, though I wish the meatballs was more juicy, as they tasted a bit dry.
The ambiance of the restaurant is very traditional and catered for an older crowd. When i went on Sunday dinner, there was also live music which I loved.

We came here to celebrate a family birthday. Everyone's vaccination card was checked in order to grant entry into the restaurant. Our meal started with an order of the calamari. It was lightly fried to perfection. Also, I normally never like the red sauce served with calamari but I couldn't get enough of this one! The complimentary bread tasted freshly baked. It was downright addicting.
I ordered the gnocchi as my entree per our server's recommendation. The tomato sauce was light and the dish just melts in your mouth! The special of the day was the chicken parmigiana which was

Two stars because the place looked nice and workers seemed nice.
But here's what I think about the food. A legit review. I've been to Italy, married to an Italian.
I ordered the hallowed spicy spaghetti (it was dry) , gnocchi (no flavor) , bean pasta (tasted like soap) , cheese tomatoes salad (mushy) , and tiramisu (bleh) .
EVERY dish needed salt... Big time.
Tiramisu looked like a glob of whipped cream topped with cinnamon.
Save your coin, go down the block to Trader Joe's, grab yourself a frozen Italian meal, it will taste waaaay better.

My group of 10 lucked into landing a reservation here for a celebratory event. From the start, I had a feeling we were in for something special from the small neighborhood feel to the really warm personal greeting and service we received from the staff. We spent 3 hours there over a meal and all of it was simply above the mark.

Four stars because my husband said the chicken was excellent. I had pesto noodles and the sauce was good but the noodles lacked in something. They were like an Angel hair pasta, and kind of stick together. The Caesar salad was delicious and a good size. Also had the prosciutto and melon appetizer and it was good. The service was good and very friendly.

The place was really amazing as well as the staff but it’s kind got a bar there and a game was going on so it was a bit loud with some tipsy people. Other than that me and my significant other were very fortunate to get there before the hot peak hours where there was a huge line to be seated. We got a window seat. The staff were very friendly and attentive asking if we were okay, needed anything, and how was the food. Don’t get me started on the food you have to go there, try it, and be blown away because the flavor combinations are superb truly. Some of the most amazing Italian food I have

Delicious food and quality products. The host was extremely friendly and the server polite. They seemed short staffed, having only two servers on in the main dining room. I gave 4 stars as the service was good but not great, likely because of the limited staff scheduled. I'd definitely go back for the food. Yum!

We had a great dinner at Fior d'Italia by chance, and we're glad to have experienced this classic restaurant!
With a party of 10 looking for a place to eat on a Friday night near Fisherman's Wharf, the Fior d'Italia was able to accommodate our group at short notice and offered a great dining experience for our entire group which included adults and teens.

This is a cute spot for casual Italian dining. The food hits the spot if you're craving pasta. They have a full open bar so you can order any cocktail concoction you can think of. The calamari was a little too authentic for me, and I didn't like how squiddy it looked -- it doesn't come in calamari rings like I thought, but as full baby squids. If you get squeamish with full sized calamari I would skip it. Otherwise, I loved the food here.

I'd been wanting to try Fior d'Italia for years - I literally live less than a minute away and I just never made it over there until the last Sunday's 2020 Last Night of Restaurant Service, before the holiday COVID shutdown. I think the reason mostly was because if I wanted to go "out" for dinner, it just doesn't feel like going out if I just walk around the corner.
Since we found out that all restaurants were shutting down table service (even outdoors) after Sunday, we headed out early Sunday evening looking to patronize something in North Beach. As we walked past
