DO NOT MOVE HERE! these reviews about the place being pet friendly are bogus, based on my experience. absolutely terrible service at the front office, but he apartments themselves are cramped and the neighbors are worse. please do yourself a favor and check out the salem wood apartments for a better experience.

We have lived here for over 10 years. I would never recommend for it anybody. The apartments are trash. We pay close to $1000 to live here because the water bill is included in the rent AND you have to pay $30 for washers and dryers. Then after living here for a while they start throwing the fees at you. We just paid these apartments $1200 and we just got a letter on our door saying that we owe $713 by next Wednesday for being 2 days late on the rent. We have asked multiple times to send us bill before we are late on a bill and they never do, they just send us the bill AFTER it's late and

-The model Kitchen did not even match the kitchen in the apartment I ended up leasing.
-1 drawer in the entire kitchen, about 4 inches wide and about 25 inches or so long

-I lived on the 1st floor in the back of the building when the area recieves large amounts of rainfall the water seeped in under the wall in the living room corner close to the patio door and front door.

I love living at the Crest Apartments. This is my 2nd go round. I moved to Salem, Va from Northern Virginia in 1999 and these are the first apartments I lived in....known as Craig Manor back then. It is a much better community/setting than it was in 1999. I love the view and love watching out my balcony/patio with the changing of the seasons upon us.

Was just on Fox News last night after filing tenant assertion for improper mold remediation. Apartment flooded 12 times in September. In October they replaced my carpet in living room and dining room but left moldy dry rotted tack strips. I found management services corporation in Charlottesville and was told my apartment had no mold visible however I sent them picture after picture. They remediated twice due to air quality test results. The second remediation took place November 8 and no further air quality done since then. They refuse to release any paperwork stating what the results were. My

This place was terrific in 2014! I mean truly wonderful. Now it’s run down- hole in wall next to stove from a neighbors pipes leaking. They are very good about putting band aids on stuff and walking away. The guidelines for pets is nothing over 45lbs yet 9/10 dogs weigh much more and restricted breeds run around everywhere. They pick and chose who to cater to. For instance our entire building has been blocking ppl from charging their electric car out of window. Concerns of fire and building burning down but the complaints fell on deaf ears as now there’s a parking spot designated for this tripping

12/26/17 we moved in Friday. So far, not a good experience at all. Our 1st floor apartment smells like mildew/mold/muggy and and cat pee. I can't get the smell out yet. Our apartment was dirty on move in. There are gnats in the apartment and my bathroom wall is covered in hair that has been painted over. The walls have only been spot painted and they are chipping and cracking. There is wax on the wall in the living room that wasnt sanded off, just painted over.The ceiling looks like it could fall through at any moment. My patio outside is absolutely run down.

This will be our 2nd lease with the Crest and was the place we chose to begin our family in. Every maintenance problem we have had was fixed promptly and staff was very friendly. Apartments are nice with a layout to maximize space and efficiency. Also BIG DOG friendly which is such a plus! Have recommended to friends whom have since moved in and will continue to recommend to all who ask.

I could not of picked a better place to live at. The ladies in the office are very nice, helpful and personable. The apartments are kept up beautifully, clean. Ground work is beautiful. They do everything they said they would do. Including putting in a totally fantastic pool. The place is quiet, and I don't know what else to say except It's a great place to call home.
