Doctor Neil Johnson has been my family doctor for the last 14 years. The service and treatment that I have received In the last 12 years has been OK. But the last 3 visits have been below sub par. I was left in a Room alone sick for over 30 minutes without anyone checking in on me.
Each time I have come in I have been very sick either with the flu or with a bronchial infection. And each visit I was told there was nothing they could do and sent me home without any relief or prescriptions at all. My last visit was 3 days ago and it was a complete waste of my time. I had an upper respiratory Infection

My initial experience with this office was pretty good. I saw Dr. Johnson my first visit and expressed my current health concerns. I did feel rushed and it seemed that he wanted to provide an answer more than he wanted to understand what was going on. He did have a positive and liberal attitude toward some medications, etc that other doctors may be conservative on - which is why I stayed. I appreciate open-mindedness for the goal of solving a problem.

Me and my wife are established patients of Dr. Neal and Lisa for almost 4 years. There are super nice people. This review is not about them. This review is about their "office manager". My wife had an appointment for blood draw and somehow there was a misunderstanding about the time. She thought it was at 11:30am but apparently it looks 1:30pm on their system. So she went there at 11:30am and they said she is too early. But we had another appointment around 1pm so we asked for reschedule. Then we rescheduled and weeks later we received a "no show fee" of $40. We called and left

I am a single mom on a budget without insurance and they're out of costs prices for the assessment appointment and prescription was completely within my budget. The staff was warm and obviously enjoyed their workspace. I was able to get an appointment within a few days. I was seen before my appt time even arrived. Dr. Johnson was quirky, open, intelligent, kind and forthcoming. He took a lot of time to develop a rapport with me and was very eager to help me find the most cost effective solutions to my chronic issue. I have been a patient at Dr. Johnson's office for around 3 years. Yes, they have done thorough lab testing at each of my physicals and I did spend about $30 on the first and $60 on the second out of pocket (after insurance) for those tests. They also had me come in for a follow-up to review those results in person. In both cases, they spent almost an hour with me going over my current health and where I could make changes to improve it. They also found a major issue that was easily correctable but had never come up in previous limited testing.

I began seeing Dr. Johnson in January, 2016 as a follow up to a Seton ER visit. Since 2016, I was seen as needed and always felt that I received the best of care. In December, 2018 I began having shortness of breath and experienced symptoms I knew were likely related to loss of blood. I have been with Doc Johnson since ~2000. I have seen his practice evolve and staff come and go. When I was referred to Doc Johnson I told him my goal was to be able to enjoy my retirement years unlike the majority of my family. After reviewing my family and medical history he put a plan in place that has kept me up and running on all 8 cylinders. Doc Johnson has a great friendly no-nonsense attitude (if that makes sense). Being I transplanted Masshole from the NE I appreciate this approach.

I saw Dr. Johnson as a first time patient 6 months ago. I had recently been diagnosed with iron deficient anemia by another doctor who referred me to seek out a GP to figure out why I would be iron deficient. For some context, I am 30 years old, athletic, and a woman.
Upon meeting Johnson, within 5 minutes of meeting him and without any questions into my diet, my environment--he declared that the reason I must be iron deficient was due to being a woman and that it was common.
Regardless if he was correct, I thought it very lazy for him to assume that was the cause especially since he never asked

Dr. Johnson is absolutely five star I have been going to see him for probably 20 years. At first it was just the annual check up. Then, I used the nutritionist in his office who taught me to eat properly (although I don't always follow the advice, there is someone sitting on my shoulder reminding me what the proper thing to do is).
As I have grown older, my medical outlook has required more attention. As the time has passed, I find that Dr. Johnson spends more time with me. He clearly explains what is going on and the plan of action.

Dr. Johnson is extremely easy to talk to and he took his time during the visit to help me understand my care, the reasons why he chose to prescribe certain agents, their efficacy and why they are a first line recommendation when compared to other drug classes. He even outlined several treatment options that would best fit my daily schedule, and provided me with a manufacturer's coupon and online savings options that made it very affordable at the pharmacy. I've been seeing Dr. Johnson for more years than either of us can count. His staff is always pleasant and willing to work with me and my family when we need to be seen. His nurses are amazing and have a wealth of knowledge. They have always been nothing but kind and solicitous to my family's needs. Lab work has helped uncover issues no other doctor has found and the nutritionist is great at working to find information for my special needs. The staff is so helpful in dealing with my insurance issues. If I needed to appeal a claim, they have jumped right in to provide the information to my insurance

I had really high expectation based off these yelp reviews, but I was a little disappointed. I saw Dr. Johnson twice, first as an initial visit, then as a follow up. I saw the nutritionist once. I felt like Dr. Johnson was friendly enough, but almost talked TOO much to the point that I left unsure of what was actually addressed because he talked for so long.

I've been with Dr. Johnson and his office since at least 2006 and they are THE BEST. They are always pleasant and helpful. I recently had an issue with my insurance and the office helped me through it. Another time, when my insurance wouldn't cover a medication I needed, they helped me get it through a discount program. Dr. Johnson and his staff go above and beyond to help however they can. I've also done nutrition programs through the office and those are great as well. There's a reason I'm still seeing him 10 years later!!!

I have been going to this office for over a decade and wouldn't ever consider changing. Dr. Johnson and his staff genuinely care about my health and go above and beyond to make sure I know it. I've never once felt rushed if I had a lot of questions. I also love how thorough the annual blood work is along with the follow up with a nutritionist. My first visit was pleasant and they really do have the best nurses. Dr. Johnson is kind, goofy and incredibly smart. My boyfriend and I have been PT's here for three years now.
My dog passed away last year very unexpectedly and traumatically. I was honestly beside myself with grief, it was a really rough time. I got sick at the same time, and could not get better. I met with one of the PA's at the office. She helped me as much as she could. I still didn't get any better. I went to an urgent care as well to try to find relief. Nothing was helping.

New patient here. I've been looking everywhere for a good doctor and I found one! Woo-Hoo. Front staff are extremely nice and professional. Dr. Johnson was able to explain everything to me for me to understand not only about my health but what my insurance can/cannot cover; something a lot of doctors nowadays won't tell you. I highly suggest coming in 15-30 min ahead of time if you're a new patient. All new form fill outs are on an iPad now and not on paper.

Dr. Johnson and his staff are fantastic. I initially came to them out of necessity because they were close, but I've now been a patient for nearly 2 years and I can say that they absolutely rock! Dr. Johnson and his PA's are focused on not only treating your medical conditions, but improving your overall health and quality of life. The medical staff is focused on keeping patients informed and usually I am given several choices in my treatment with the pros and cons of each carefully explained to me.
