In order to maintain our high standard of service, we require that payment be made at the time services are rendered. We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges. Plantation Animal Clinic is happy to accept Cash, Check, Major Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover), Scratchpay and CareCredit.
Our staff will get a chance to talk to you and see if you are having any trouble with your pet. We will also go over diet, preventative medicine, and exercise to ensure that your pet is as healthy as possible. Then, one of our veterinarians will do a complete physical examination on your pet. It is always good to have a baseline in case your pet ever becomes ill.
We believe in utilizing the highest level of medical technology, and our surgeons are experienced and highly trained. We also realize that it can be stressful to have your pet undergo surgery. We want to assure you that your pet is in good hands, and that we will do everything to provide the best care possible.
Ultrasound uses sound waves to offer a non-invasive, painless, and radiation-free method of imaging your pets' internal organs. Providing this service is one of the many ways that we show how dedicated we are to providing your pet with the best care possible. By using ultrasound, we have yet another powerful tool at our disposal to detect, diagnose, and prevent illness in your pet.

I rarely leave reviews, however if I can prevent someone from going through what my family has today I will be happy. This has to be the most negligent team of vets in all of NC. Despite several check ups with plantation, I decided to get a second opinion on my 7 y/o dog who was experiencing bloody stool, vomiting and diarrhea. She received several clean bills of health from Plantation, so you can imagine my horror when I discovered that she had been suffering from lymphoma and several large tumors. I have had several issues with this animal clinic for about three or four years at this point. We begin taking my dog, Coco, here when she was a puppy. We had no issues originally, however there were multiple times were heard staff speaking on not only about our dog, but our family in a condescending and counterproductive manner. Following an annual check up in late May to June, Coco had a clean bill of health. Recently, we were experiencing issues with Coco not keeping her food down, blood in stool and excessive diarrhea, just to name a few. We had an appointment for Coco at 5:30 on Monday. I

I was a walk-in since my dog was stung or bitten on her paw. The staff and Dr. Stanley were so helpful and understanding. Also, they were very thorough in examining and treating my dog. We left feeling better and cared for. I highly recommend Plantation Animal Clinic!

Dr. Samantha Stanley had been taking care of my little dog for 7 years. Last time, we came in for an annual check up , and he needed some shots. Dr. Stanley gave him pain medicine injection before giving him those shots. She did a thoroughly check on him and found things that I didn't see it. I kept coming back to the Plantation Animal Clinic because the doctor was great, the staffs were friendly and the place was always clean. Highly recommended this place

Recently during illness we’ve seen Dr. Sacco and Dr Pennings and love them both. Same thorough care and compassion we’ve gotten from Dr Reed. I would recommend these 3 doctors highly. Office staff is top notch.

First off I took this place for my dog that passed away a few weeks ago. They said he needed surgery so I paid $1000 for it and they ended up cutting him open and then calling saying they can't do it. So my dog ended up with stitches on his belly for no reason and I paid $1000 for them to cut him open and not do anything.
Today I went and my lab needed two shots. They took her in at 3:30 (appointment time) and I waited till 5:30 and finally called asking what was taking so long. THEY FORGOT ABOUT HER. She was done with shots at 4pm and she sat in a kennel for 1.5 hours because they forgot

We really enjoy taking our pup, Hazel, to see the folks here. They always greet her with love and excitement when we walk in, and are very knowledgeable when there is a problem. Hazel needed to change meds when we were out of town and they worked to get it to us, so she could get better quicker. They are also very honest because when my husband dropped his wallet in the parking lot, they called right away and held it for us until the next day. You can definitely trust your pet will be in good hands here.

We've been taking our dog and cat here since we got them and they are wonderful. They diagnosed our pup with parvo before he was fully vaccinated and were able to get him the treatment he needed by sending us straight to CARE for emergency services. Dr. Reed has been taking care of my dog and has performed his Nare surgery to better his breathing and also put a few pins in his leg when he broke it as a puppy. Our last cat came to us as an adult from the animal shelter so when we welcomed a kitten into our home, we needed some advice about how to care for her. Dr. Murphy and the staff at Plantation Animal Clinic have given excellent care to both the kitten and to me. In addition to top notch medical care, we have boarded our cat at this facility giving us peace of mind as we travel. They treat Snowflake as a valued patient and a member of their family. This is a fantastic animal clinic. The front desk support staff are courteous and sweet to our pup, Max and cat, Kiki. All the technicians we have encountered have been exceedingly nice and helpful. Dr. Reed is patient and takes his time to make sure our fur-balls are doing well and to answer any questions we have. We don't feel like just another number here.

I'm not too sure what it is, but it appears veterinarian offices are popping up on every corner these days. I got my new girl from the Rowan County shelter last week and she needed a check up badly. After seeing the reviews for Plantation Animal Clinic I decided to reach out to them. You know a good place when you contact them (via Yelp by the way) and they respond. THEY RESPONDED FOLKS!!! All of the doctors and nurses here are amazing with both my crazy energetic Border Collie and my not so sweet male cat. Whenever I go there the doctors spend time with my animals and not only give great advice on animal care, but also are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area for dog parks, trainers etc. I have also boarded my Collie there a few times and he always seems to be happy when I pick him up. It's also one of the cheaper places to house him.

My first visit to Plantation Animal clinic was due to an emergency need to put down our 13 yr old dog--his organs were just shutting down and it was time. I called around and had the most compassionate responses from Plantation as well as them being able to get us in the next morning--they took us walk in, but our wait was not too long. We sat in a comfortable room with a couch and a quilt/rug on the floor where I was able to spend some tender time with Daylin before saying goodbye. We recently rescued a puppy and she had some unfortunate early health issues. We saw Dr. Murphy for the first time and he was gentle, thorough and helpful! Plantation took excellent care of her and even called after each visit to check on her. All of the technicians now know our sweet girl by name and they treat her like their own. I originally reviewed Plantation in August 2014, right after I brought home my family's newest addition, Gucci, the energy-filled, Great Dane puppy. I was recently told that, with their new location, Yelp has insisted that Plantation start from scratch with their reviews. This makes no sense as they are the same Vet as before just in a different building. So, I felt I needed to repost my original review and add an update. Here is the original review:

We brought our dog (baby) in for a routine procedure and they crushed a disc in his back. First they denied it even though he was a perfectly happy and healthy 6 year old dachshund. Then the owner told us it was bound to happen anyways. Not only are they incompetent but they believe they can predict the future. Avoid this place at all cost!!!
