Let be start by saying this. I am Nigerian American. My Father is from Nigeria. My mother is from Louisiana. I thought I'd start with this so that people can understand how course my hair is. My texture is what ever is after 4C. In addition, I have not processed (relaxed or colored my hair since 2013). I have been coming to Abi since 2014. I have never felt any discrimination about my texture or the fact that I am black. She has never shown any reluctance to do my hair based on texture, skin color, language, or culture. I don't speak a lick of Spanish but language and culture have not been an barrier

So I thought this may have been a misunderstanding but then again text show I booked a hair color appt a week in advance AND also confirmed hair color appt the day before. I came in ON TIME the day of my appt and was told they don’t do highlights on Saturdays only on weekdays, then said my hair is too thin to color. I can tell the stylist was just hesitant to do my hair. Which I was kind of shocked because I went to her consistently 3/4 times in a row for a wash & set. . I just moved here from Florida in June, and was so happy to find a Dominican salon. I grew up with and have family friends

For my twin daughters birthday. I booked them here weeks in advance. When We got here she said only for 1 I said no 2 and showed her our text messages. She did not want to do their hair because it is thick and long. Claimed the were too young but she did there hair when they were 7 years old and now at 11 they were too young? She reluctantly said she would do it. I left. at $ 85 each ($55 blow, $10 deep con, $20 trim) I will keep my money or spend it with someone more professional. Lost not only us 3 as clients but at least 3 others that I referred.

This was my first time here and I loved it from the moment I walked in until I said see you next time! The staff took the time to greet me and learn about my needs. Dani gives a great firm wash with a massage that is amazing! Abigail left my hair with the most beautiful trim full of curls that are still poppin a week later! Would highly recommend.

Best hair stylist ever!!!!!. I recently moved from the Dominican Republic and I was worried that I couldn't find a decent hair stylist to treat my type of hair. Thank god I found Abigail. She really has her ways to treat my hair and now it is so soft and shine and my husband loves when I come back from the Hair saloon. Recommended for everyone.

For the past year, I've text and called, they take on average 1 day to respond. This past week, they haven't responded to text nor phone calls and it's been 2 days. The wife is the stylist and her much older husband handles the appointments. She did my hair a couple of years ago. I am very busy w my job, etc... so I've been trying to schedule an appt for when I know I can get there. Usually I only know a day or two ahead of time as I travel almost 90% w work. From a professional standpoint, he is handling this business very unprofessional. If a customer doesn't feel comfortable they can get a response

I've been going to this shop for 2 years and I absolutely love my hair. Abigail is great with natural hair! She does my color and highlights leaving my hair very healthy and beautiful! I am natural but most people think I have a relaxer after a visit to this shop! Oh, they get you in and out in record time looking Fabulous!
