Balayage is a French word meaning to sweep or paint. This technique allows for a sun-kissed natural looking hair color - similar to what nature gives us.

I normally don't write reviews but I had to for this one. This place is amazing everyone is really friendly. The salon is nicely organized, decorative and clean. I 100% recommend Devon. I've been to many hairstylist but couldn't find one who seem to actually care about my hair. Devon was very attentive and knew exactly what I was looking for. He gave me much guidance and tips on hair care and style. I love my hair now, and will continue to go to him for future appointments.

Their online booking doesn't work - it's been "coming soon" for several months now. The person I interacted with on the phone (Betty?) apparently couldn't copy the information on the form e-mail and I had to relay all my information to her again over the phone.
Scheduling is a pain - good luck if you work normal business hours because they pretty much expect you to take work off for an appointment. For as busy as they make themselves out to be, I was the only client both times I visited. (4:00

I now understand why the owner of this salon, Betty, only has two employees and lots of empty stations. She phoned me to first confirm, then change, my upcoming appointment for color with Devon. I told her I had already confirmed the appointment online. She stated that the time would instead be two hours later at 12:00 instead of 10:00, so I again agreed that 12:00 would be fine. Betty asked me a third time if I was going to make it at the later time, and I stated that "I had already said that would be fine." I've had my hair cut by JoJo twice, she is a lovely person and a great hairstylist. I've had interactions with a male stylist there (sorry I didn't catch his name) and the assistant stylist and they are also lovely people.
The website, at least for mobile devices, is not great. Their online booking has been broken/"coming soon" for several months now if it ever worked. Moved to Texas a year ago from the northeast and needed to find a new hair salon. After some extensive research, I made an appointment at The Do Cut and Color with Devon and wasn't disappointed. The entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the latest hair trends and products. The salon is bright, trendy, and always clean. Highly recommend this salon.

I cannot begin to say enough amazing things about this salon. From the first step into this salon I was greeted by the staff that are so welcoming. I drove 4 hrs from out of town for my appointment with Betty. She did an outstanding balayage on my hair followed by a cut and style by Jordan. Everyone I came into contact with were so knowledgeable and honest when I asked for their opinions. I have probably been to hundreds of salons that have not met my expectations regarding my hair. This is hands down the best salon I have ever been to and is definitely worth the 4hr drive to have my hair cared

OK. Do yourself a favor and go here for fabulous hair. Devon and Jordan are the dream team. I had dark brown curly hair and now I have gorgeous blonde highlighted, blow-out goodness. This place is amazing because everyone is so attentive and really takes into consideration what you want, and what your hair needs. Also, I called the day before at about 4PM and they let me come in at 7:30AM the next day because of my schedule! Amazing. Wonderful. BEST HAIR DAY EVER.

I looked on the website after seeing a review in D magazine. On the website it says "women's haircuts $65". So I was a bit taken aback when the owner told me it was $85 for the stylist who did my hair. I went ahead and paid it and tipped though I felt it was a bit of bait and switch. The hair cut is fine and I liked the stylist, but certainly did not feel it was worth $85 for essentially a trim.

They talked to me for about 20 min about my options and plan of attack. Let's face it, I had no idea what I wanted. In fact, I was so nervous to put any color on my hair since this was my first, that I sat in my car 30 min before the appt. I almost cried talking to them about the coloring process.

First time at this salon and I had a wonderful experience. If your looking for an amazing, creative stylist go see Jordan. I walked in not knowing what I wanted and he cut and styled my hair that best suited my face. I left feeling beautiful! He's definitely got the vision to bring out your features. My husband even commented on how much he loved my hair. You're in good hands when you visit Jordan.

This place is amazing. I looked long and far for someone who could handle my red color appropriately. Enter Betty, the owner and rock star of the salon. She absolutely nailed it, making my hair feel and look beautiful. Devon gave me a much needed trim masterfully, with a perfect blow out.
I then went back a week later to see Jojo for a Brazilian Blow Out. I'll say this: it's pricey, but if you can splurge, absolutely do it. My hair is the smoothest, softest and most manageable it has EVER been in my life. She is a total pro.

I got my hair cut, full foil highlights and my eyebrows waxed! I love that I could get it all done in one place! everyone and I mean everyone is so nice. Jordan was even able to fix my butchered hair cut without chopping it off. I am so very pleased! Although I am a low hair maintenance type of person but still wanted color (most colorist, look at me like that’s never possible), the colorist listened and made it possible! Awesome hair and I don’t have to stay on a strict color schedule. That’s a win win in my book. I’ll definitely return! Thank you all!

I went for my second appointment with Betty recently and am loving my color! She also had Carlye trim my hair and Carlye did a perfect job, with a great blowout. They are conservative with me because I'm trying to grow my hair out. Betty understands the vision I have for my hair and she's working with me to attain that goal.

Today was my second visit. My cuts have been really clean and cute and what I asked for. The first time I did not have to wait and it was a great experience. Today was a bit different. My appointment was at 1 and I arrived a few minutes early. I waited for about 30 minutes before my hair was shampooed. At 2:15 the stylist was ready to cut my hair. I know right, joke's on me for waiting an hour and 15 minutes beyond my scheduled time. My new cut is very cute and the stylist voiced her apologies for the wait. Everyone was pleasant. TLDR: Comfortable salon with great service. Eager to communicate if there are problems. Skilled, friendly stylists. They will take the time they need with you. This means that they may be late getting to you, because they're giving the same treatment to other customers. If you are tight for time, call first and see if your stylist is running behind. If you know your hair takes longer than the average time, do the rest of us a favor and tell them to schedule extra time!

I was looking for a good colorist and saw an article about this salon on a D magazine review. Horrible, Horrible mistake. I should have checked yelp as well and then run for my life!
I made an appt. with Betty and on the day of my appt. they asked me to come in 1 1/2 hrs. early which I agreed to. When I arrived they left me sitting for 1 1/2 hrs. Betty came over to me and asked if I would like to come back on another day. I said, "No I just want my hair highlighted."
Betty then told me that she couldn't get my color the same as the picture I brought in for her to see by using foils

This salon has cancelled on me twice now! The owner, Betty, was the person I had my appointment with. They said she was going out of town. When I called back to reschedule, Betty was there and had not gone out of town. Hum? What just happened? Did they give someone else my appointment? They were untruthful about Betty being out of town. Betty was very rude to me when I even wanted to talk about what had happened. We were friends. I sent her people. I looked for stylist for her. I work things out with people!

I'm new to Dallas by way of NYC. Was in desperate need of color just before NYE and found several salons reviewed highly by D magazine. THE DO CUT AND COLOR was at the top of the list. What jumped out at me in that review was an earthiness about it. I called the salon and Betty, the owner, answered. She was lovely and SO accommodating. I was a bit manic, but she squeezed me in the next morning, first appointment of the day! I shared my color formula with her; they use Wella so it would be an easy match, she assured me. "The Snob and Color"... insists that my fiancé can afford my hair cut
I was there to fix a hair disaster. The "cut" had already been fixed so I went for a color correction at The Do. Besides correcting the color, the owner kept pushing to have someone in her salon fix my haircut *again*.
She made snarky remarks to others like, "this is the fix if you can believe it". (My "sub par" fix cost $150 at a celebrity salon in Europe. Paris Hilton thought her hair was good enough... apparently The Do didn't.) In the end, she made me feel sufficiently uncomfortable
