Owned and operated by Joey, Max's Deli is a real NYC-style Jewish deli serving great food in a very unique and inviting atmosphere. At Max's Deli, our emphasis is on delivering a fantastic overall experience through great family atmosphere and traditional, Jewish deli food. The red booths and checkered marble floor will put you in a New York (deli) state of mind.
Our decor is just as inviting as our staff, so once you are at Max's Deli, you can expect to be greeted by the friendliest staff in town. As for our ingredients, we only use locally sourced and homemade products. We grate our own cheese and brine our own brisket. Our NYC-water bagels with freshly whipped Philadelphia cream cheese are immensely loved by our customers.

Called in a very simple order, toasted bagel with lox cream cheese w/ cucumber and tomato. They told me 10 mins. When I arrived after 10mins, I paid the $6 it cost and waited watching the three guys working behind the counter. None of them were making any food, the place was pretty empty. A few mins later, the guy who took my phone order and who I paid, asked one of the three guys to make my sandwich. It took him quite literally 30 seconds. Why call in an order if they're not gonna make it until after.
3 stars because the food is pretty good, but the service is really, really bad.

I happened upon Max's Deli when I was starving and in a rush to get to work. I'm so glad I did!
Walking in, I could see that they were busy. Hoping that I could get a quick sandwich, I told the gentleman behind the counter such. He made sure I got in and out in a jiffy.
The chicken sandwich on challah that I ordered was delightful with big chunks of juicy white chicken meat, crunchy celery and bread to die for. It came with a homemade pickle section (I wish there had been more) and a small cup of coleslaw (which was perfect but didn't come with a fork).
I would happily eat here again when I

Thank you for the wonder food and friendly service. We used to frequent Max's deli when we lived closer, and were very happy to see they we're still there and thriving. They were very crowded today when we stopped in for a late lunch but we were greeted with a smile and a table was cleared. Best food and service. You still get a bowl of pickles and a bread, butter and matzoh basket to munch on before your meal. The food is even better than we remember and definitely worth traveling a bit to get to it so we will be back again soon.

I definitely realize that this is JUST a grilled cheese sandwich, but it's actually indicative of a definite downward slide I've seen at Max's the past year. We've repeatedly had missing things from our orders or incorrect items. Getting sent a clearly burned sandwich is the last straw for me. I'm not going to be ordering again.

This was the first time I went to Max's Deli. Everything there from the waitress and other staff to the food were exceptional. I had an open-faced Reuben that was huge and delicious and very reasonable. Another person had a brisket sandwich that was huge no one could eat all of their sandwich at that time. The split pea soup was good. Little things like the slices of homemade dill pickles and bread and matzo was the nice little touch. Dessert I had a brownie and a cake cookie and both were absolutely fantastic can't wait to go back there again

I don’t believe or understand the low ratings here. Everyone I talked to was extremely knowledgeable and cordial. Everything from the pickles on the table, to the bialy in the bread basket, to the Perfect amount of dill inside the matzoh ball in the comforting, mellow flavored chicken soup was outstanding. The absolute best chopped liver and pastrami anywhere in the Midwest! These places are disappearing in our country and we need to patronize them so they do not vanish.
