Brackett's dining room is now open for the season serving lunch and dinner Thursday - Sunday. Our cafe is open 7 days a week from 7am - 3pm for take out, curb side, and inside dining. The cafe offers some of the best doughnuts on Cape Ann. So please stop by for an iced/hot coffee/espresso, hot chocolate, spiced cider, sandwich or fresh pastry.

About Brackett's Report

Brackett's Oceanview Restaurant is located right in the heart of downtown Rockport, Massachusetts. We offer a variety of fresh, delicious cuisine to satisfy any appetite as well as a full bar, complimented by some of the most spectacular water views in Rockport from our back dining room! Both our lunch and dinner menus offer the best local and native seafood as well as a number of poultry and beef dishes.

Dark Sin coffee is delicious! Fresh doughnuts, muffins and pastries are amazing, lunch wraps, sandwiches and lunch choices are always fresh and yummy. Service is excellent. You can tell it is a great place because the locals love it in the heart of a tourist destination.

Brackett's is a gem hidden in plain sight. Rockport has so few restaurants; and in season, waits can be 1.5 hours or more. Its a shame more folks don't go to Bracketts - where we did not have a wait. The view is stunning; service, attentive; and food, creative and excellent. My companions raved about the chowder and all of our main courses were delicious. The price point is more than fair. I only wish they were open more hours. Don't miss it!

Brackets Rockport is the best restaurant in Rockport. Friendly staff. Very clean, great lunches and dinners. Most of all you cannot beat the ocean view, absolutely the best.

Worst food we've had in Mass. Lobster (Lobster mac and lobster pie) was rubbery and fishy smelling/tasting. Did have a lovely view which earns a second star (and had a nice Rockport beer on tap). So not worth the price. Eat elsewhere.

We had dinner at Brackett's last night and it was exceptional. Stacy our server was friendly and patient and on point with timing. We had delicious cocktails with fried calamari to start, and several of us had fried seafood for mains. My fried scallops were so fresh and sweet, and perfectly cooked. I didn't get a chance to try my friend's mussels before he devoured them but he had a big smile. Everyone loved their food. We can't wait to return!

In spite of the Covid restrictions for inside dining Brackett's made us feel comfortable and welcome. Great atmosphere, tasty food, and a wonderful view. We will have to go back so I can get to try the clams next time. Maybe they'll be back on the menu.

The blackened shrimp tacos are simply incredible! Of course, having extremely friendly wait-staff and the breathtaking view sure helps make the experience even better.

Fish was dry, roasted potato had no flavor. Chicken marsala was half chicken which was ok, but a little unusual.
