The hostess was very rude. We did not have a reservation and expected to wait. Another couple came in and she told them she needed to get rid of us so they could be seated. When we asked if we could make a reservation for the next night she pretended to put us down and said maybe you will get in. I wish there was a lesser star rating. There was no reason to be rude.

We were over at Bodega bay for a few days RVing with some of our fellow. Elks lodge members from Stockton 218.
Having grown tired of our own cooking we opted into Drakes for a nice breakfast.
Quick seating and coffee complimented by a view of the bay made for great start to the day. My friend had the Eggs Benedict and other than being a little light on the Hollandaise sauce, she was well pleased.
I went with the Waffle and a nice dude of sausage. Both perfectly done. Coffee was fresh hot and refilled. We'll be back!

We started with the tomato salad and the scallop crudo. Neither was great. The tomatoes seemed cold which dampened their flavor, the dish lacked salt and the sour dough croutons were totally left off the plate. The crudo just didn’t taste good. Too much “stuff” ruined what should have been a simple dish highlighting the scallops. Orchiette was ok but also lacked salt. Salmon had a great crust to it but was overcooked and lacked flavor. Neither dessert was to our liking either. They forced a prix fixe menu which in almost every combination ended up more expensive than the individual dishes

Wow!! Feeling kinda positive we got "Pretty Woman"ed or worse. We went into the bar, got a seat and were asked to leave because we did not have a room at the inn. Jose explained that it was reserved for guests only due the fact that the hotel was at 100% capacity. Totally understandable.
My S/O stopped by the lobby to ask about availability. There were many rooms available. When the hotel manager was asked about comments from Jose, she responded, "I will talk to him about his verbiage ."
We felt more welcome at a wonderful place else.

Worst costumer service on 6-26-21, from the manager Mike Robbins no less. It is unfortunate but I have to share this experience regarding Drake's in Bodega Bay. I contacted the restraunt by email multiple times including the day of attendance as I was looking for a good restraunt to attend for my wife's 40th Birthday. I was informed by them that reservations were reserved for hotel attendees, but that we could walk in and wait for a table. Upon arrival we were immediately told that Drake's doesn't accept walk in customers. I spoke with the manager who stated to me that the restraunt did not tell

Just make sure you are a "guest" at the lodge. This is a quote from their website for partaking of their "first come, first served, no reservation lounge - "Our beautiful lounge overlooking the Pacific, Drakes Fireside Lounge welcomes locals and visitors with flavorful cuisine, expertly crafted cocktails, and outstanding beer & wine from Sonoma County and beyond.". Yeah, sure. We were definitely not welcome this evening, only invited to leave, stating that they were completely booked, although there were empty tables in their "no reservations taken" space

Came here the other weekend 5.22 after a day at Doran Beach.
Super convenient location, literally up the street from the beach with plenty of parking.
I'm all about views, ambiance and food! This place is extremely beautiful, breathtaking not to mention this place had some of the best salmon I've ever had, even if it was in a taco!
Due to the Pandemic they have a limited menu, but it did not disappoint. Service is great, didn't have to wait, awesome wine selection I ordered the J sparkling rose. Everything was moderately priced.

After a trip to the nearby beach, some friends and I stopped in for dinner. The staff wore masks and at the time they were only seating outside, inside dining was closed. The surrounding area was lovely, especially beautiful around sunset. I thought the menu was a bit limited and slightly overpriced but I'm not from CA so maybe that's the average cost. Nevertheless, my food was pretty good. Almost everyone at our table started with a warm and hearty bowl of clam chowder. The fire pit area is great! Really great food, drinks, atmosphere, and service. I'd love to visit during non-COVID times, but we felt very safe and comfortable. We came for dinner and drinks one night and came back the next morning for eggs Benedict - the crab cake Benedict was delicious and my husband enjoyed the smoke salmon option.

Beautiful outdoor seating, but that's about all this place has going for it. They overcharge because there aren't many restaurants around. Food is okay, buy not worth the price. Not sure if our server was having a bad day but she didn't get multiple parts of our order correct. So a couple times we had to say that's not what we ordered. Cocktail was good but not worth $13. Food would be more worth it if it was about half the cost

Always great food ...But So disappointed at Drakes on Valentines Day...I called to see if they were open for lunch at the Bar and they said the bar is open for Drinks but no food is being served in the bar because of Valentines Day, just dinner in the restaurant..so we ate somewhere else then decided to go to Drakes and get the Lavender Martinis that they make and when we get there they WERE open for lunch And they didn't have anything to make the Lavender Martinis ! Overall, not excited to eat here again based on this first experience. If things changed, I'd be much more interested. I recommend reassessing customer service training and R&Ding items on the menu with some taste testing.

Stopped in for lunch today on our way into town. It was great! Sat at the bar with a view of the foggy bay and ordered the stone fruit salad (10/10), flatbread with prosciutto (10/10) and the fish and chips (7/10). Attentive, friendly bartender served us and checked in often even tho the place was packed at 2:00 for lunch, and they had their hands full.
Food came quickly and was largely great. The fish had great crunch and flavor, but could have used more time de-greasing on a rack or something before going right on top of the chips/French fries. The oil and heat from the fresh fried fish soaked

What a magnificent place to unwind and take in the beauty that Bodega Bay has to offer.
I cannot believe I drove past this gem the last 15 years I've been visiting Doran Beach. If it weren't for that fabulous Groupon Spa Deal I don't think I would've ever discovered this great lounge.
I love sitting outside around their fire pits while having a delicious margarita or glass of wine.
Lounge staff are some of the nicest people I've met in a long time. They took the time to answer our questions about the menu items and different beers on tap. They are definitely top notch

Good main courses, we enjoyed the scallops which were cooked perfectly, duck breast which was one of the best I've had, and the shrimp gnocchi which was super tasty as well! The bread we were served was raw, and the waiter wasn't very attentive. Not the best service, the food was good but not worth the price. 26-51$ per entree. The clam chowder was yummy we enjoyed it as an appetizer along with the lamb stuffed peppers. Finished dinner with espresso martinis
