Through referral services, I have spoken to a few lawyers for a consultation. My case is complicated and therefore requires plenty of Q&A during consultation. None of the lawyers I spoke to previously offered me that kind of great service from Mr. Henry Rau. He was an attentive listener, highly analytical, and offered great suggestions to satisfy your questions. Having owned Condominiums as Investments for the past 20 years, I am very impressed with the Rau Law Firm and especially with Henry, the principal. I have never been treated this well by a law firm when seeking out a professional and knowledgeable attorney.

We recently retained Rau Law to help navigate the purchase of a primary home. Henry Rau helped my husband and I figure out what we needed by way of wills, medical directives, etc. He saved us a lot of money by steering us away from what we didn't need, and then did the job we needed at a very reasonable price. Later when I ran into trouble with my mother's estate, Henry was so incredibly helpful. He gave me practical steps to take and what to watch out for. This made what might have been a painful, expensive process so much simpler and straight-forward. In the end, there is no substitute for having an attorney I can really trust.

I was very unimpressed with my interaction with Henry. I had a phone call with him and then followed-up in email. After emailing him he did not respond for 5 days. Then I follow-ed up and it took 2 more business days to respond and he put the action back on me. We can chalk that up to a miscommunication at best but even then he didn't deliver anything and it was time sensitive which I prepped him on our initial call. In the end I called another attorney and he also recommended I find someone else asserting that I wasn't sensitive to the timely response. That would have been true if I had emailed

Unfortunately my mom passed away unexpectedly last June. PDX Legal Solutions (Henry & Mathew) handled my mother's estate compassionately, quickly and for a reasonable price. He was pretty bad. He consistently made errors in documents that we had to e-mail him to correct (like forgetting to put my name in a form instead of one of his client's name in a route form, or messing up numbers we gave him). He also reversed the seller and the buyer on our house offer, despite it being clear in our e-mails...

As a successful business owner I have met with many lawyers over the years. Henry was much different. Henry is a hardworking and honest attorney that has worked with my Wife and I with our Estate Planning. I think for most families wills and trusts can be a sensitive subject. It is hard to think about these things and plan ahead for the inevitable (especially when you are young). But I sure feel much better now that I have done it!! If you have a family, especially children, do it for them.
