At Tish's, you can expect a unique celebration for any type of event for up to 70 people (seating). We have celebrated, birthdays, graduations, baby & wedding showers, rehearsals, office celebrations, and more all done with attention to detail and a personalized touch. In warmer months, you can also reserve our large, heated, and covered patio space.

Tish's is a good family style restaurant located in Council Bluffs, IA. Menu has a variety of lunch and dinner items to choose from. There is also a party room to hold your office party, birthday party, or if you just have a large family gathering. In nice weather you can sit outside in the patio area. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

OMG can I just take a moment to RAVE about this place? We were in the area and picked it based off Yelp reviews and our dining group dynamics. This always feels like a risky venture when you're deciding on an unknown (to you) place for a bunch of other people; it can be pretty hit and miss. But this place was a HIT. The menu is surprisingly extensive for a diner, with tons of unique options that still represent classic American tastes. What a nice find in a restaurant desert. Tish’s is just 5 minutes from the River Rd. Hampton Inn. Secluded, green, off the road location. Very pleasant setting. Great service. Granted it wasn’t busy. I was there at 5:00 pm. I ordered the larger salmon portion. It was fresh, moist, and tasty. The grilled vegetables were fresh, crisp and flavorful. The side salad also was fresh, turgid and had flavor. I pass through Council Bluffs regularly for work. Tish’s will be a regular stop for me.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. Fresh and tasty food. The staff was attentive as well.
With all the glitz of Casinos in the town, Tish's must be a hidden treasure in Council Bluffs. We only found it by searching on our phones.
Definitely would eat here again when passing through.

Visiting in Council Bluffs and oddly enough have eaten here twice now. The steak salad is delicious! Great piece of meat with the right mix of greens. This noon I had the ribeye with red potatoes and green beans. So good. The owner stopped by and chatted. Friendly people and good food. My kind of place.

This was our first dining out experience since the beginning of the pandemic (we've done take out) & choice Tish's because of their covered patio. We were celebrating my mother in laws 93rd birthday. All of or food was delicious (fist time having sweet potato fries that were crispy) & our server Megan was friendly & attentive. We will be returning soon 😊

My family recently had dinner here for the first time. The food was good and they have a nice covered patio area. We started with the Spinach Artichoke dip served on either house french bread or tortilla chips. We opted for the chips. The dip had good flavor, with a healthy portion of spinach and artichokes that was good with the tortilla chips. For dinner, I had the Barramundi Sea Bass and it was decent. The Pinot Grigio I had with it was great. Unfortunately, I don't remember what it was. My husband had the Kansas City BBQ Burger with fries and it was good. The menu offers a little something

We came here as a large group for a business meeting and were able to sit in the back room at a long table altogether. The staff was very friendly and did a great job taking care of our large party. I ordered the pork chop which unfortunately was kind of dry but still pretty good and all in all we enjoyed our visit. I would come back and try again without such a large group.

Recommended by Marriot hotel staff. I had the steak sandwich, cooked perfectly and great bread. The server was an experienced professional. Great home cooking. The kind of place I would visit more often if I had extra dough. Perhaps when Andrew Yang is elected and a basic income is implemented. More nights out!!!

Stopped here on road trip totally unfamiliar with the area. Used yelp to find this gem. Got the Tuesday special enchiladas and my son got grilled cheese with fries. Service was friendly and food was very fresh and homemade taste. So if you are looking for good food that is not fancy this is your place.

Not really great food and service was pretty shaky. We were there last week. We have a special needs adult foster person and it was pretty sad because our waitress was very proud of her bosom and wore a super low cut top and he kept staring, and we had to explain to him that it wasn't appropriate. Not a little low cut, a lot. There is a reason I don't take him to strip joints.

We reserved the entire restaurant to have our 38th anniversary dinner. Actually, it was mid-afternoon on Thursday and we just happened to be the only two customers on a rainy afternoon. The steak sandwich and the Atlantic salmon were both great and the service was excellent. Thanks for the anniversary cake, Kathleen! The restaurant is sort of tucked out of the way and we don't often think about going there. But we need to go more often.
