The entire office staff here is wonderful! They made us feel very welcome. I have a 2 year old boy and and 8 year old girl and both were made to feel very comfortable. The office was clean. Plus, perhaps most importantly they were very transparent! This was our first time seeing a dentist since moving to Texas and it was an excellent experience!

Dr. Sarah and her team are awesome! They are kind and informative, and give suggestions for best options without being pushy. When my son needed a lot of dental work, she put him at ease by explaining step by step what she was doing (without making it sound scary, especially for an 8 year old (and me!). They are fantastic and I definitely recommend them for your kiddos dental needs.

I have now taken both of my kids under 10 there for more than just routine care and every time the staff is so incredibly kind and patient. They made my kids feel so at peace and cared for when they were feeling scared or unsure. We have future visits scheduled and I am so glad we were recommended by our regular dentist’s office (closer to home) to them for the special care both of my kiddos needed and may need in the future. Not to mention being so understanding of this anxious momma. All around wonderful.

The office staff and dentist at the Killeen office were wonderful, but the hygienists/assistants were not particularly friendly nor understanding to my son's fear of x-rays, cleaning, and the process of applying sealant. They did not explain things to him before hand and acted frustrated with his behavior when he showed reluctance. The wait between cleaning and dental exam by the doctor was pretty lengthy as well. Would not recommend for those with kids with sensory issues.

When I brought my 3 year old in for his routine appointment this morning at 8am the waiting room was already FULL. There were 8 people waiting when we walked in making us 9 and 10, not including the 3 office staff. Then 2 people walked in behind us. There was no way to social distance. No where for us to sit. They're still handing out reusable, laminate paperwork, which seems unsanitary to me during a pandemic. I was so frustrated, I just canceled our appointment and left. We definitely won't be returning.

Good customize service ALWAYS begins with a greeting. The staff did a wonderful job of this however, the dentist examined my daughter and never once offered a greeting or a plan of care. Orthodontics is not cheap and I do expect to be treated as if my time and money are valued! I'm a professional and I expect courtesy from another professional.

My preschool age twins go here and the staff is absolutely amazing- even with kids who do not cooperate very well. Even after getting two teeth removed, my son still gets excited to go here for the balloons, and treasure box ;) We came during Covid and I was a little nervous about it, but they took our temperatures at the door and had safety precautions in place to ease all of my concerns. I highly recommend this dentist for your kiddos!

Terrible communication with families. They will do work even if it’s not time yet with insurance so you end up with a bill. Any dentist we have been to gets a pre-authorization first. Also they have now started charging a PPE fee due to covid for their PPE supplies. Which is no different than they normally use. Just extra money that insurance won’t cover. AND it’s not even posted they are charging for it. Edited to add, United Concordia WILL reimburse for $10 ending today. So I expect a refund ASAP.

Recently switched my boys to my dentist after finding out I was going to be charged a COVID fee. I’ve had a handful of issues here and that was it for me. One issue was them pushing unneeded X-rays on me and then finding out after the fact that they weren’t covered by insurance for some reason so I’m stuck paying for stuff I wasn’t expecting to pay… for. More recently my kids had their checkups and cleanings with their new dentist. One of my sons was supposedly in need of some thing like 7 fillings and two crowns according to Lone Star. We split the work and had only

I left this place very annoyed and frustrated today. I should of known as soon as I got there, something wasn't going to go right. I checked in and they wanted payment, which fine but they wanted more than what they quoted me on. I told the lady that the amount she's asking is incorrect. She pulled up the record and saw that it was incorrect. Whatever, fine, I asked her to see if they added anything to the plan and she compared the plans and everything was the same. She said i don't know why they have different amount. Hadn't I paid attention, I would had paid more than the

This office deserves nothing but 5 stars. I highly recommend Dr. Ames. Having a filling done is nobody's favorite thing to do. He made the whole process easy and PAINLESS. If you have anybody that has anxiety going to the dentist. This is the place to go. The staff makes it easy from start to finish.

The oral surgery side of this office is a joke. No one is able or willing (I'm not sure which) to answer your questions prior to surgery. My question *repeatedly* was simply, is IV sedation necessary for my daughter's situation or only the Dr's preference for all of his patients? No one could tell me if it was actually necessary for my daughter. We were in a time crunch so I did my own research to answer my questions, decided to have my daughter's procedure done and decided to just let the poor service go. Then... I receive an EOB from my insurance and find out they overcharged

I was so disappointed by my experience at Lone Star. After seeing generally good reviews, I felt confident taking my toddler there for his first dental appointment. The waiting room was clean, but I would have expected some sort of toys to keep him busy while we waited. The lady at the front desk was very helpful with making sure everything was in place with our insurance, which I appreciated. When we were taken back to the "baby room," I was surprised to see that there was only beaded toy on the wall and two stuffed animals that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while. There

Having been to pediatric dentists in other cities this one went just as we expected it to. We arrived early and were seen early. X-rays, exam and cleaning went smoothly. Since we've been sticklers for dental care for our 11 year old from the beginning the dentists here said the same thing as our old pediatric dentist in Houston: mouth looks great, no need for braces at this time (perhaps never) and no cavities. Services were great, front staff knows how to process our insurance and the office ran efficiently. We'll be back in 6 months.
