Pilates On Page
Certified instructors encourage a harmonious mind/body relationship to improve strength, flexibility and posture so you can rehabilitate injuries, improve performance and live a happier and healthier life! Private sessions take place with the client and the teacher moving around the room doing appropriate exercises on each of the apparatus.

Each POP teacher gives the client a full evaluation and or a fitness assessment to be able to devise a program based on the individual's needs and goals. Privates may be done once a week or every day if the individual wants. It depends on how much torture one can endure. Rates per session are based on the instructor's experience.

I signed up for 4 personal training pilates sessions with Jen. I'm a bit of a tough case - I swim and bike daily despite systemic chronic joint pain. At my last session, my IT band was so pained that I couldn't get in or out of a car without agonizing stabbing pain going from my knee to my hip. Training me is challenging due to constant issues such as these. Anyway, Jen worked with my injury in my last session, massaging the IT band as I worked, and by the time I left, I felt a LOT better - so much better that I was able to run down the Muni stairs without a death grip on the handrail

Great place to practice. Class consisted of 5 people max for reformers. Reem has the good technique of pilates so she could adjust form as needed. 45 lunch class went by fast. At a moderate pace. I hope they add more classes with a faster pace.

Studio is fairly small but very clean. I joined on ClassPass and it was great. Will totally be back.

This teeny tiny studio has so much more than meets the eye! I discovered it on ClassPass and have been hooked ever since. It's so refreshing to go to a modern studio that is committed to teaching pilates the right way.

I am an especially big fan of Lisa's mat class. My first time I mentioned that I've been dealing with pain stemming from hyper-mobility. A lot of practitioners at studios like Core40 or Pilates ProWorks are lacking the training to understand this condition and struggle to create an exercise that focuses on strength rather than flexibility. But Lisa understood immediately

This is the way a pilates reformer class should be - small classes, attention to each student's form, and clear explanations during the workout. My only wish was that I had found this studio earlier when I lived just a block or two away, I would have been here all the time.

I took Jen's class -- she's the owner -- and it's nice to find someone who is so nice, passionate and involved in her business. The space is small but has 5-6 reformers, some other equipment and one bathroom. Note that there's no separate changing area other than the one bathroom so if you're going

I love the new studio! It's so light, bright and inspiring.
I've been going to POP for several years now and I have seen several different instructors. They are all wonderful; very professional and encouraging.
I started going to POP for a back problem and stayed because I love it!

Jen Bishop is a wonderful teacher, understands movement from the both perspectives of someone who moves as a dancer and has studied anatomy and physiology. After just a few sessions I felt that I was holding myself differently and felt rejuvenated.

Found them on Yelp, now gotta love them on Yelp.

My best friend Lisa lives in San Diego and recently came up to stay with me. She has developed quite the six pack since we last saw each other, and she said it's all because of pilates.

Now, Lisa and I used to work out together, and she is one of the strongest, baddest chicks I know, so her praise of this exercise regimen spoke volumes to me.

I decided to give it a try, and found Pilates on Page on Yelp. I have done 3 classes so far and I am hooked.

What I am realizing about pilates is that the benefit is not in the hour a week you spend

I started doing individual sessions with Melinda Kausek to heal from a long time back injury. After a year, I've seen enormous improvements in my pain level, body awareness and overall fitness. I've been able to get back into shape without causing more injury and I have the knowledge to work on my issues outside of the studio.

Melinda is very technical and knowledgeable but also has a strong intuitive sense and, with a short back and forth, she very quickly finds a solution for my varying issues. She has a sweet and playful personality and is very patient when I'm braindead and

I am new to Pilates, but I have seen positive changes in the way my body feels and I know it has everything to do with my once a week instruction with Liz. I stand all day for work as a hairdresser and run as my main form of exercise, so my feet take a beating! After one session with Liz I was blown away by what she showed me with only floor exercises. She has been working with me for two months and I have almost no pain where I once did on my right foot. I never would have thought that doing Pilates once a week would have helped me so much. Liz is great to work with because she is kind, knowledgeable

I recently started attending one-on-one Pilates classes here with instructor Liz H and it has been nothing but AWESOME so far! I've been going to see her for a about 8 weeks now and she has already made an UNBELIEVABLE difference in how my body feels and behaves compared to 8 weeks ago. I am a programmer by trade and my back/posture were a mess plus, because of stress, it looked like I was shrugging my shoulders all the time, as if I was proclaiming "I DON'T KNOW!!!" 24/7. NOT ANYMORE!!! Liz spotted all of my problem areas right away and was able to tell me where each one

It took a little research but I finally found POP. Having had the same fabulous Pilates instructor for five years before moving here I was really concerned about if I could ever find a match for her expertise and care. I wanted someone as serious and meticulous about my body and who really understands how to keep it well. I found Liz! And I could not be happier. I am lucky to be in the neighborhood but would come here regardless. Liz, thank you for being so attentive and caring, on top if highly skilled.

I give Caitlin Kolb 5 zillion Yelp stars, at Pilates on Page! This is by far the most important Yelp review, I have been waiting to write for a long time. Please allow me to elaborate on the fantastic-ness of Caitlin... I have had pilates before and it was magnificent (Mercy B. at Apex Pilates in Milpitas) and Caitlin is great too. I was referred to Caitlin by my physical therapist at Potrero Hill Physical Therapy and she has changed my ankle and my life for the better. Finding Caitlin has been a godsend and I have become so much stronger because of her excellent one on one pilates session.

Pilates on page is the best!!
I recently moved from Vancouver to San Francisco and was on the hunt for an excellent quality studio and instruction. Sf has no shortage of studios, but finding an instructor with a deep knowledge of movement and the body can be a challenge.

Jen has been amazing. She has been able to pick apart all the different aspects of my physiology that contribute to my aches and pains and put together an exercise plan that addresses it in a major way.

I've had huge improvements in my tendinitis since we started working together. She also gives me things to work on at

I'm new to Pilates and decided to give it a shot. I started taking classes with a fabulous, fun and knowledgeable teacher, Julie Sheetz. Wow! Has my perspective on this form of body movement ever changed. Julie makes classes fun and interesting while catering to both my strengths and weaknesses. Not really knowing what to expect, I figured it would be a costly venture and maybe worth just a class or 2. No, no, no! I make the trek over to POP on a near weekly basis and enjoy my time more and more with every lesson.

The studio in general is very laid back and the people I've met there

I have been going to P.O.P. for the past six months or so and I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review.

My instructor-extraordinaire is Julie "Hard Core" Sheets. She's bad to the bone, and as my wife (who is also a client of hers) says, Julie has x-ray vision. Her ability to make micro-adjustments to body positions during exercises is almost eerie and it results in a killer, controlled, productive workout and stretching session week after week.

I have a history of chronic back pain and Julie is very in tuned with pushing me hard enough to strengthen

Oh POP, how I miss you!

Pilates is the most amazing gift I have ever given myself.
For my 25th birthday I treated myself to a one-on-one session of Pilates and didn't leave for 5 years.
POP and more importantly Jen is amazing. Some of what the other posters mention is spot on. Jen really gets to know you and what you need to work on. I am not a small woman, but I never felt uncomfortable at POP ever. Rosie W says it perfectly "I feel simultaneously super-mellow and super-productive". After Pilates I would always feel so energized I would generally clean the whole house it was perfect

A few years ago I purchased some sessions at POP, used one, moved out of the neighborhood, and then forgot that I had the sessions.

A few weeks ago, I said "hi" to a familiar looking woman outside of ODC Dance Commons, and she said, "hi Edward, you still have time with us that you can use".

I love POP! After three years, few business owners would be so great that they would actually encourage someone to come by and use credit that they have with that business. Such integrity (thanks again Jen).

Nice place, nice people too. I am going to sign up to see Greta asap.

I thought pilates would be easy. I was wrong. But, Andrea makes each private session fun and a great workout! They have a special rate for new pilates students ($220 for 4 sessions I believe), which I appreciated.

Close to the Van Ness Muni station, it was easy to get to. Clean, if a bit small, this is the perfect place if you're looking for attentive pilates sessions by the experts!

Pilates is not cheap. But it does rule. And it's really lovely to get it done in a clean, well-run studio full of informed, warm instructors. This place has cadillacs (which I was shocked to find out are not luxury cars), reformers (which aren't the Inquisition-era torture machines that their name implies), the chair (which is not electric) and lots more. But aside from the fabulous equipment, the instructors are just amazing.

Whenever I'm there I feel simultaneously super-mellow and super-productive. I highly recommend this spot and my instructor, Andrea, in particular.
