Acknowledging that no two bodies are alike, we resist creating generic workouts for the masses. Instead, we reverse the pattern by creating personalized and challenging workouts based on the individual client's body type, fitness goals, and past or current injuries, all while incorporating the most current and advanced training methods.

Training with a j+k fitness expert can help clients reach their goals safely and effectively. We are mindful of any injuries and sensitivities our clients might have, and customize our workout programs based on this vital information. Through close monitoring of alignment and form, our trainers encourage clients to forge body awareness and to utilize correct muscles during all workouts.
When I first started training at j+k, my first goal was to be healthy and weight-loss. Then over time when my body transformed rapidly, I wanted to be healthy and fit in clothes that showed off my body. The one thing thats sustain me over the course of time has been the lifestyle changes. I came to j+k before my wedding to transform my body fairly quickly and to do so in less than couple of months.
Lucky for me, I had very loving and supportive parents who never pressured me into one career choice. Instead, they always gave me the freedom to pursue what I was passionate about. When I decided to become a health and fitness professional, my family was behind me all the way. Suffering a serious ACL injury playing football has given me an informed perspective on the rehabilitation process.

Recently started working with J+K about two months ago. It's been a fantastic experience with a focus on flexibility, mobility, and strength.

I went to J+K after discovering them online and doing a zoom consult with Jae. Jae was very warm and welcoming from the get go and had great energy. I knew it was going to be where I would feel comfortable and also learn. Jae paired me with Raymond Chow for training.

Raymond is fantastic! Just the right amount of chatting while also getting the work done. Raymond has been great to get back into the gym with....from ensuring good form and concern

I've been training at J+K Fitness for more than a year now and it's been a fantastic experience. My trainer Raymond is highly knowledgeable about how the body works, from helping me overcome soreness/pain to improving my muscle mass and mobility. I've been training at J+K Fitness for nearly a year now and have loved my experience! My trainer Joe strikes the perfect balance of pushing me harder but keeping me motivated throughout my workout. Joe is also very knowledgeable when it comes to training with a prior injury. When I first started working out at J+K, I had some issues with my knees. Joe thoughtfully designed a workout plan to strengthen them and now my issues have completely disappeared.

I've been going to this fitness studio for the last four months and have seen a significant drop in my weight while grown my understanding of my own body and knowledge of physical training thanks to the solid set of trainers at J K.

Have been training with Jae for years. Helped strengthen my knee/hip post surgeries, and helped me shed unwanted weight in the process. I learn so much about how to train, and how my body responds to strength training and I love it all. The online training during a pandemic incorporates weights I have at home and my own body weight. Jae remains involved online, and I never feel like he's not giving his full attention to me - even via zoom. Highly rated.

I've had an incredible experience with J+K Fitness Studio. It's now been 6 months of consistent training 3x+/week (including via live video during shelter in place) and I'm feeling so much stronger, happier and healthier. Highly recommend J+K. I actually find workouts fun and invigorating and you can get support on nutrition as well. Five stars.

During my time at j+k I trained with Lee and coordinated scheduling thru Jae. Lee was always kind, professional and very results driven. Expect to be challenged! Lee was thoughtful about how to reach my fitness goals and I was able to see progress in a short amount of time. Communication with Jae about scheduling was easy and he was able to make accommodations with appropriate notice. Definitely recommend the j+k team.

I started out with an assessment with Jae who not only designed a program for me but checks in regularly to provide nutritional advice as well as to ensure that I'm keeping up with my fitness goals.
Joe has the patience of a saint and is extremely knowledgeable .I've seen substantial gains in my stamina, flexibility and and saw a marked difference in my body after just a few months. I love the 1:1 personal attention and that there are never more than a few people working out at any time

I started training with Jae a few years ago to get in shape for my wedding. Haven't left since. The studio provides a comfortable environment for one on one sessions, with never more than a few other clients in the space. In addition to Jae, trainers Griffin and Joe provide focused attention to every workout regiment. They are great at adapting the training to a person's pace and goals, and will push you as much as you want to be pushed. Whether you're trying to look like Mr. T, or just trying to remember what life was like before Dad bod, J+K will help you realize the transformation you're after

I'm a retired pro athlete and I have nothing but praise for J+K Studio and the team. Take aside their amazing training planning, customization to particular cases, creativity, fun exercises and constantly evolving routines. Their attention to detail, the way in which they adapted to the new health standards, and their overall human interaction makes this the best training studio I've every worked with. Five stars? Such standard doesn't even make justice to how great these guys are.

I've been going to J+K for about a year and a half and I've seen great results. Working with Lee has been great! He's really good at pointing out posture and form corrections while I'm lifting. He also designs really intense all around workouts which build strength, endurance and flexibility. I've become so much more aware of my body and I've learned a lot about my strengths and weaknesses. Overall, I would highly recommend J+K for anyone looking to have great workouts with an expert trainer.

Great Studio with Excellent Trainers!

I started training with J+K Fitness toward the end of August 2019 and continue to train there. When I started, I had a couple of goals in mind: I wanted to lose weight, but more importantly I wanted to stop feeling tired and stiff in my own body. After 6 months I feel so much better in my body. My strength, endurance, and mobility have all increased dramatically. Great studio, great trainers. I have been seeing Jae and Griffin for the last six months. They show full
care on their members, provide feedback on the progress and make sure the program is designed based on the needs of each person. Jae listened to me carefully in my first consultation and understood my history of injuries well. He and Griffin made sure my program fits development of my strength. Highly recommended.

I've been going to the studio now for over a year and the results really do speak for themselves. Jae and Griff are both great to work with and will tailor their approach to your unique situation and goals. It's also great have a small group of trainers to work with interchangeably to create flexibility week to week with scheduling sessions while still getting the 1:1 treatment.

I've been working out with Jae, Griffin and Joe for 9 months, and I've seen a remarkable improvement in my strength and endurance since I started. It's by far the best personal training experience I've had, and I'm really, really happy with my body transformation!

When you train with any of the guys here, you have 100% of their attention. Each session is tailored to your goal and with plenty of variety from one workout to the next. They accommodate your schedule, and they also provide nutritional advice and recommendations on supplements. The studio itself is not huge

I started with a fitness assessment with Jae at J+K in August of 2018, outlining my goals with a PT, specifically noting I wasn't aiming for "vanity muscles" but more overall strength and stability following a period of back injury and pain. Jae put me through a qualitative assessment and review of where my fitness level was at to start, and where my goals could be met and exceeded working with one of his talented and experienced trainers. The only effective workout + nutrition program I've been able to stick to! If you are looking for specialized personal training, this is the place. I had a couple body sore spots in my workouts that were not only addressed in the workouts but thoroughly stretched out before and after. The workouts were tough and different each time. Having Jae + the team monitor my meals was crucial. If you have an event to train for, don't hesitate to join! Andrew + Griff are both fantastic trainers. I wish there were small group classes!

I worked with Jae at J+K Fitness some 10 years ago and was really bummed when my business travel made it difficult to schedule. However, in 2018, it was time to get some training help again and I didn't hesitate reaching out to Jae again. Jae was as enthusiastic as he's always been and accommodating with my schedule. This time, I trained with Joe, who has been instrumental in getting me back into shape. I highly recommend him.

Best Personal Training in SF

Went here 3x/week for a whole year. Great space, trainers and price. There are no more than 2-3 ppl training at a time, so plenty of space and room to train. Trainers will work with you on specific goals and even help with your diet. Jae has built a great community in the Mission. Highly recommended!

My wife and I trained at J+K for about 5 months in preparation for our wedding. We had the opportunity to work with Griffin and Joe and they were both great. The team helped us eat healthier and create a program that worked for us. My wife was already taking part in other classes (Barry's) but with J+K she lost 10lbs.

The atmosphere was very comfortable and not intimidating like other gyms can be. Everyone is super attentive and knowledgeable. We both met our exceeded our goals for the wedding and very grateful for the experience.
