Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Dr. Steven Haase graduated from Wichita State University and obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1988. Dr. Haase relocated to Austin to begin his third dental practice, Oak Canyon Dentistry, where he treats patients of all ages.
Oak Canyon Dentistry provides comprehensive oral healthcare for infants, children and teens in a fun and family-friendly environment. Dr. Haase and his specially trained staff are committed to making your child's dental experience a pleasant and comfortable one. At one point, Dr. Haase considered becoming a Pedodontis (Children's Dentist), but decided to treat BIG KIDS as well!

I usually don’t write that many reviews however, my family and I had an exceptional experience at Dr. Haase’s office. Friendly and professional staffs. Dr. Haase is very caring, warm and funny. He went through our X-rays in detail and not rushed at all. I had a filling done that evening he texted to check on me. Best dentist ever. We feel very safe and comfortable during the pandemic. Highly recommend.

I would say the biggest strength of this office is their efficiency. Secondly, Dr. Haase has a uncommon expertise regarding bite and is exceptionally skilled at administering local anesthesia. He is the reason I overcame my crippling fear of it - I previously had an incident of dental caries (a cavity) filled with NO MEDS. I'm looking forward to continuing care here as long at they are in operation, God willing.

My husband Greg went to see Dr. Haase because he had such a bad pain on his back tooth. The staff were so friendly, respectful, caring and courteous. Dr. Haase found time on his busy schedule to see him right away. He is the "BEST" reliable dentist that we have ever experienced! Definitely recommend.

Dr. Hasse is a remarkable dentist who was able to stop the lifelong “popping” of my jaw by adjusting my bite at my first visit. His knowledge of the mechanics of the mouth is an essential part of each visit. I have had work at various dentists through the years and can recommend Dr Hasse as outstanding. He and his staff are professional and compassionate. I am excited to see the results each time I have an appointment. My smile looks better and “younger”. I highly recommend Oak Canyon Dentistry.

Most of us do not look forward to visiting our dentist - however this practice will change your perception of typical dentistry. It is not only professional but also very personal. Dr Haase has a broad understanding of our dental needs and has made me a believer of proper bite to limit dental damage. My kids and I just switched to Oak Canyon Dentistry and we have never experienced such thorough care! We had our teeth cleaned a few days ago, and Dr. Haase and his team took the time to explain everything in great detail. Everyone was patient, kind, and gentle. Huge shoutout to Dr. Haase and Mary, his wife/office manager, for coming in on their day off to fix a tooth that broke last night! Five star treatment all the way!!!

Where is the option for the 10 star rating? Dr. Steven Haase is the best Dentist in Austin. The man is an artist. I used to have terrible anxiety with going to the dentist so much that I put it off for 7 years. My Family and I have been going twice a year ever since we became his patients back in 2013. He's great with my Children ages 7, 6 and 5, and the friendly staff always make us smile. Dr. Haase goes above and beyond explaining procedures, pictures and test fittings. Absolutely the only dentist I would go to in the Austin, Bee Cave and Lakeway areas. I have a lot of dental work and a lot of crowns and caps and when I have to have them fixed or replaced it's nice to have a dentist that knows their stuff and has the equipment to make a permanent crown right in their office within an hour or two.

Worst dentist ever. Misleading and overbills! I specifically asked when I was seeking a dentist in the area if they took United Healthcare and was told "yes" with no further info given. They tell you prior to service what will and will not be covered by insurance and then, after dental work has been completed, you'll get another invoice with the exact amount that insurance was estimated to cover. What they don't share from the beginning is that they are NOT a provider for UNC or any other insurance carrier. This information is not fully disclosed until you inquire or complain

I have been going to Oak Canyon Dentistry for approximately five years, and have always had great visits. They are always very informative, efficient, and most importantly very nice. They have also been taking excellent care of my daughters dental needs since she was about five years old. She was very nervous about going to the dentist as most little children are, but Dr. Haase explained everything to her in a way that put her at ease. Now, she asks me "When do I get to go to the dentist again?" I highly recommend Oak Canyon Dentisry for the whole family!

Can't say enough good stuff about Oak Canyon Dentistry. From the front desk, to the hygienist to Dr Haas, everyone takes good care of you. Not many dentists have the equipment in their office to make crowns on-site in about 2 hours. Pierce Brosnan even has had his teeth worked on at Oak Canyon Dentistry.

My wife and I started going to Dr. Haase almost a year ago and let me be the first to say we both needed a lot of work. Everyone at the office is very friendly and they really make you feel welcome. Dr. Haase found things that other dentists missed and saved us a ton of money in the long run. They're the best in town!

I had heard for years at my Golds Gym, that Dr. Haas was awesome.
I was blown away at the organization of client/patient intake forms, how easy it was to schedule an appointment (no hold times/answering machine...), and how they got my insurance information and payment information streamlined. If that wasn't enough, the state of the art Digital Imaging vs the old x-rays (with all we know now about effects of radiation!). That was my major selling point for me. My own personal flat panel TV to watch ESPN/CNBC and watching and following along with Doc's camera examining my teeth in
