Classes are designed to provoke growth based on each child's individual pace. Your child will learn what it feels like to achieve, be great, and learn to be a leader.
Our Adult Martial Arts classes in Tigard offer a comprehensive fitness training regimen. We provide a healthy program for building your confidence and physique through endurance, flexibility, and strength training with greater variety than traditional exercise. Also giving the added benefit of self-defense skills and an increase in mental and emotional strength for a greater personal security.
Many parents are looking for more opportunities to spend more time with their families. Master Eric's World Champion Taekwondo provides that opportunity. We provide special classes for families to attend together and train side by side. You will be learning an exercise program everyone can enjoy with other families in a positive and healthy environment.
Little Tigers in Tigard is a program for children under the age of 6. The classes are always full of energy to provide your child a fun learning environment. Through our Little Tiger program, your child will learn what it means to be respectful and kind to others, while also being active and healthy.
World Champion Taekwondo (WCT) first opened its doors in 1996 in NW Portland by 1992 Barcelona Olympic Gold Medalist, Grandmaster B.C. Kim. Since then, WCT has opened 8 other locations in Portland Metropolitan area including Portland, Beaverton, Tigard, Lake Oswego, and Gresham. Our kids have been learning under Master Eric for three years now. When they were younger, he made lessons enjoyable and fun while helping them learn the essentials skills to reach black belt. Now as they continue beyond black belt, Master Eric pushes them physically and mentally, while also creating opportunities for them to be leaders and good examples (and still mixes in fun for them!)
Terrific life skills along with helping push them to do things physically they never thought they could do. Would highly recommend for kids and adults of any age!

Our grandson has been a student at WCT Tigard for over a year now, and we continue to be impressed with Master Eric and this facility. He is firm, yet kind. The kids learn Taekwondo techniques but more importantly they learn discipline, respect and team work. Each week has a different "character" focus for practice at home and during the class Eric emphasizes team work, honor and respect for self and others. He is encouraging and affirming, but there is no "false praise" and the kids work hard! Each student is challenged to improve and helped over the tough spots they encounter

I have recommended this place to so many people with kids. My son goes there and he is so much more respectful and has something that he, himself has to work for. Master Eric knows how to treat kids. He teachs them to have fun but still be respectful to him and everyone else. I didn't think I wanted my son in Taekwondo but its the best option. It gives them a purpose and teachs them self discipline. I wouldn't take him anywhere else just because of the respect my son has towards Master Eric and the respect Master Eric has towards him.

I have no reservation giving my highest commendation to Master Eric. At age 27, I'm re-learning Taekwondo because I know who I'm learning it from. Master Eric truly leads by example. His love for his students are demonstrated by his uncanny ability to teach like none other, personable approach customized to the needs of his students. Most important, at World Champion Taekwondo Tigard, you're not just learning Taekwondo merely as a martial art, but you're learning how to become a better person. This could be truly a life-changing milestone for your kid.
