I've been going to Bridgetown for a 5 months now. Being an overweight middle aged woman I was apprehensive to try. I'm so glad I did. Everyone has been being accepting of my lack of skill level. Sensei takes the time in every lesson to explain the history and why moves are they way the are. he's also great about making sure moves are done correctly so no one gets hurt. I've adored my time at Bridgetown.

I started attending classes at a local park over quarantine and the community is like no other. Since we have returned to the dojo, the great community has stayed and I have felt welcomed. Aikido is great for not only exercise, but through aikido I’ve learned how to work better with others. Fantastic experience, I highly recommend attending.

My family have been members of Bridgetown Aikido for several years now. Both children and adult classes. We enjoy both the quality instruction and the sense of community. There are great teachers with different teaching styles to help learning from different approaches. Classes are made up of all different level students, who are eager to learn aikido with you. We learn practical self defense and body awareness techniques in a safe setting without the common martial arts elements of fighting and aggression. Come practice with us at the dojo to help yourself be more confident, healthy, and centered

I’ve been training at Bridgetown Aikido since before the pandemic. I have trained in dozens of dojo’s across the Pacific Northwest for more than 20 years and I find Bridgetown Aikido to be one of the finest quality Aikido programs I have ever experienced. I am impressed by the maturity and leadership of Eddie Frager, the owner and chief instructor, the contribution of the other teachers and practitioners is also stellar! I can’t praise this place enough!

Years ago we stood outside the dojo’s roll up doors to watch our 4 year old son take his first belt test. He performed all the movements and was so pleased to have been a part of the first round of testing. What we were really shocked at, was that as part of the testing the other children sit reverently and watch silently supporting their classmates while each takes their test--for 45 minutes! At this point, my partner and I were convinced that being a part of Bridgetown Aikido, and having our son continue along this path was more important than all the soccer and outdoor camps we put him in

Sensei Eddie has been such a wonderful presence in my son's life. There was a tremendous amount of anxiety when he first started Aikido lessons three years ago and Eddie instantly made him (and me for that matter) feel at home. Eddie is a natural teacher and has a tremendous amount of empathy and patience. The positive changes that I've seen in my son's confidence, strength and technique are beyond measure and we will be forever grateful to Sensei Eddie.

I started training with Eddie in 2003. I wanted to teach my daughter how to defend herself. I’ve trained with Eddie ever since. I started training at Bridgetown when it opened in 2010 and got my blackbelt there. I’ve learned a great deal from both Eddie and his father. My experience with Bridgetown is that it is a great place to train for kids, beginner adults and experienced adults. The atmosphere there is friendly and safe. The quality of instruction is excellent. I recommend the dojo frequently.

I would highly recommend Bridgetown Aikido. Both of my children have been students of Sensei Eddie Frager. Their experience has been a significant contributor to their development. Aikido is a great workout, but what I found most beneficial is how Sensei Eddie created an atmosphere of what I would call "caring discipline." Their was always warmth and caring in the dojo but there could be no disrespect or lack of focus for too long. This was essential to helping both kids learn to focus. That focus led to improvement and that improvement built their confidence.
