If you're looking for a super good workout, you found the right place! But if you're looking for a fun hobby, stay far far away.
I've done lots of sports in high school, and watching mma for years on tv, I thought I'd give this class a go.
I signed up for their "special" 6 week program and for 6 weeks, each day consisted of the same exact thing:
1: stretching
2: strike the air (shadow boxing)
3: strike the heavy bag
4: more stretching
If this sounds fun to you, by all means... Sign up! There will never be a dull day because everyday is exactly the same thing

Portland Thai Boxing and Martial Arts is a very clean and professional environnment with top notch instruction. The instructor breaks down techniques to be understood by all, and helps make those minor adjustments in his students to help them excel. Mahalo for your instruction.

I have trained Muay Thai in the past at multiple different gyms and I must say Portland Thai boxing is right up there with the best. Ajarn Jeremy is a very friendly and knowledgable instructor, the people within the classes are friendly and I have left class each time feeling better than the last time. If you are looking for a legit Muay Thai gym in Portland, look no further - this place is for you.

This is the best Muay Thai gym in Portland. I have been training with Ajarn Jeremy Wijers for few years now. Everytime I have walked out of this gym after training, there has been a satisfaction that I have learned something. The classes are well structured. People in the gym are very friendly & respectful. The training intensity gets very high in this gym and special attention is given to striking techniques. Movement of each & every technique is brokendown while teaching. Whether the goal is to get healthly, get in shape or to compete, this is a great place!

After researching local Portland gyms, visiting taking free classes at other spots. I finally decided on PTB, I had been hearing good things about this gym and decided it was time. I worked up the courage and took one of the biggest and best steps of my entire life. This gym is very much like an extended family that anyone who brings a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, can quickly be apart of. Ajarn Wijers willingness to teach everyone with the same passion makes him a great leader, and is what elevates this gym to the status it has in the MMA world. You will be pushed to your limits

I hadn't practiced martial arts in a while, and never in the Pacific northwest, but going to Portland thai boxing was clearly the best choice I could have made. I looked at North West fighting arts up the road from PTB and found them to be a business first and technique later sort of gym. Portland thai boxing is a different creature all together. I mostly go to the muy thai and CSW classes, both of which are always a solid and gratifying experience taught and practiced by people who care about what they are doing as well as every person on the mat. No flaring egos, no meat heads and a

Portland Thai Boxing is by far the best martial arts gym in Portland. Prior to coming to Portland Thai Boxing, I trained at 3 other nearby gyms and after years of training in Muay Thai and Boxing, I just wasn't improving. So, I sought out a new gym and found Portland Muay Thai. Since being there about 2 1/2 years now, I have improved greatly. I found out therw were quite a few things I was mis-taught at the other gyms (NW Fighting Arts in particular) which were corrected. Kru Jeremy has an amazing ability to correct the most subtle techniques that make all the difference. All of the

I've practiced Muay Thai for 7 years, 6 of which have been with Ajarn Jeremy Wijers and Kru Gabe Mon. I've won main event fights, a tournament championship and gained the most knowledge this system can offer a student from these two men.
We are all down to earth at PTB- once we step in the ring we become dominant in the clinch and swing the heaviest kicks around.
for a low monthly fee, you learn from the best- and train with the best.

I really didn't know what I was missing until I started coming to Portland Thai Boxing. I have been on and off studying different martial arts styles for most of my life. I have taken Kempo Karate, Kung-Fu at a couple of different places and Chinese San Shou kickboxing. I started at PTB thinking I knew a thing or two but quickly found out that despite a black-belt in karate and about 8 combined years of training, I have no idea how to fight. Other schools, even the kickboxing school I went to previously, are so nervous about students engaging each other one-on-one that they very rarely allow

As Muay Thai goes, there are gyms, and then there are schools. You can pay to kick a bag for any hour, or you can invest in learning and mastering technique. No matter if you're training to compete, learn self defense, or strengthen and condition, Portland Thai Boxing sets the standard for the Portland area. The comradery and shared dedication of all the students at PTB only enhances the, already empowering, feeling you get when you walk in the door. So, feel free to stop by Monday - Saturday and try out a class that will change everything!

I have to admit, when I first walked into Portland Thai Boxing it was quite intimidating. Everyone looked so serious and pretty much very experienced in this type of martial arts (we walked into the advanced class...duh Mounty). Luckily I had 2 other friends with me that were trying it out for the first time as well. I gathered up my courage and stuck it out for the beginning class. To my surprise it was everything I wasn't expecting. It was FUN! Everyone in the previous class did not boast about their skills, but they were very helpful and incredibly friendly! I felt very welcomed and knew
