I've never written a review before, but I feel like I owe one to RedStar. Erik (owner) is always responsive whenever an issue arises (such as an appliance failing). Not only that, but he was extremely understanding and flexible when I asked for a last minute extension on my lease. A surgery made it impossible to move out on the planned date, and he gave me another month, no questions asked.
As a tenant, RedStar has done me no wrong and I'd recommend them to anyone.

I was trying to get a hold of someone because I was interested in an apartment they had listed on Zillow. I called a few times bc I kept getting no response. Finally I get ahold of Eric and he asked me “did you call me a few times in a row?” I said yea. Then he goes on and just says “never call me again” And hangs up in my face. If you don’t want people calling you then don’t put your phone number up. I work in customer service and I deal with the same stuff. I wouldn’t hang up on someone trying to spend money with me no matter the circumstance. Eric was very rude and I hope no one

Erik is the most unprofessional property manager I’ve ever communicated with. He is not accommodating at all and is just rude. I was really interested in viewing and apartment and explained the dates (only 2 days out of the week) and times they were available I was working. Although I would have loved to view the unit, this was a big indication of their management team and his rudeness on the front end probably saved me a lot of headaches later down the road.

Erik is the most unprofessional and rudest property manager We have ever dealt with. On top of not trying to accommodate to a working persons schedule, we set up an appointment and show up. We call and ask where he is and he with an attitude told he we didn’t call an hour ahead. We let him know that he never mentioned that through his series of vague emails. Long story short, if he can’t even get this together, I cannot imagine him as a manager. Save you money and go somewhere else so you can be treated with respect.

The first red flag was that Erik showed up over 30 minutes late to show us the apartment. But it was still the height of the pandemic so we were forgiving. Immediately after signing the lease more red flags popped up. Appliances don't work, the bell/intercom system doesn't work, Erik flat out refuses to fix them, communication with Erik is horrible, oh and there is a massive leak in my master bedroom closet that has been going on for almost a week now. When I brought up the damages done and asked him for a specific date and time someone would fix it he stated "I'll let you know" as though this
