I discovered Quantum as a long-time yoga practitioner, having never tried martial arts. The diverse and inclusive community welcomed me immediately, and many of its students have become my best friends and some of my greatest teachers.

You can't walk out of one of Brad's classes without a glow. He is a patient and enthusiastic teacher, with a deep well of knowledge from various styles of martial arts.

I can't recommend Brad's class or the Quantum community enough - both have changed my life for the better!

I echo the voices of the rest of the Quantum SF community when I say it is a pleasure and privilege to get to train with and learn from Brad Lyons, and that he is sorely missed here in San Francisco.

A versatile, open-minded, respectful and grounded teacher, Brad is skilled in many modalities in teaching, and makes sure that his classes are accessible to every student who walks in.

Quantum is a living art-- it develops through each student and teacher that practices it and makes it their own. Brad's emphasis and exploration of the soft elements within the Quantum style is a strength to

I've had the pleasure of training with Brad for around 5 years at the San Francisco chapter of Quantum Martial arts and he has been key in helping me grow in my martial arts training. Anyone who talks to Brad will instantly know how passionate he is about the art. Brad is extremely patient, works with you to improve your technique and helps you understand the core principles. His classes are extremely fun and I would recommend it to anyone.

I've trained with Brad in San Francisco for over 3 years. His expertise and passion for martial arts go deep and he is always looking for new ways to expand his knowledge and skill set.

Me and many other Quantum students have benefited a great deal from Brad's positive energy and empathic teaching style. No matter if you're an experienced martial artist or just a beginner, his classes allow everyone to progress at their own pace.

I'm very sad to see him leave, but excited to see the beginning of a new chapter of our wonderful community under his leadership. I have no doubt

I've had the pleasure of training with Brad at the San Francisco chapter of Quantum Martial Arts for many years now. He is a fantastic martial artist both inside and out, and his approach to the art as a conduit for mind, body, and spirit is extremely holistic.

Brad's classes revolve around finding the root of your power and being able to move as effortlessly as possible using it, which makes them very accessible to people across the entire spectrum of physicality. Alongside this, his patience, compassion, and genuine love to share his knowledge of martial arts make him a one of a kind

Brad is a fantastic instructor - highly competent, creative and committed to his practice as a martial artists and a teacher. He knows how to make his classes fun and accessible to all levels of students. His Tuesday night "sparring concepts" class was legendary at San Francisco dojo and his is missed by kids and adults alike. I'm very excited for the Portland dojo to be up and running under Brad's supervision and I will be looking forward to visiting the new space ! Meanwhile, we'll be seeing you online. All the best with that new exciting project, Brad, will punch you

Brad is a patient and creative teacher. He has years of experience in running, tae kwon do, and now, the Quantum Martial Arts style. As a student, I enjoyed how he tailored his warm ups to match the style of the martial arts class we were taking that day. I fully reccommend having Brad as your martial arts instructor. He also poses more challenges in that he's like 6'4" so sparring is a real challenge if you ever feel that you need it!

I have practiced martial arts with Brad for the last 7 years at San Francisco Quantum Martial Arts.

He is an amazing martial arts instructor for three reasons:

1) Brad is passionate about martial arts. When he teaches, there is a depth and breadth of knowledge not only in his explanations but also in his movement.

2) Brad is a great guy. When moving with Brad during sparring, I feel comfortable taking chances and trying out new combos. If these techniques work, he gives me positive feedback. If these techniques don't work, he gives me critical feedback. I am always learning when I am moving
