Ken was born and raised in the Portland metro area. He grew up in the construction world as his father was a contractor and remodeler. After working several years with his father building homes, he worked in the property management field for seven years before starting his own construction company in 2006.
We inspect the common spaces of condos four stories and less. We believe inspections of common areas are important because the most expensive problems stem from there. Others often forego common spaces entirely. While both Oregon and national regulation dictates testing is only required of a "representative sample", we understand the importance of testing every accessible interior component.

As a first time home buyer it is VERY hard to get unbiased information on a property. Ken was very thorough in the inspection, and did not shy away from the crawl spaces, roof and attic. The detailed report from Key Home provided clearer picture of our potential investment. I would absolutely recommend Key Home Inspection to others.

I had a poor inspection done by Ken. Within the first month, there was two issues that I think should have been included during the inspection. These two issues have led to over 9k in repair costs.
Ken failed to test and check the washer faucets during inspection. The first night, I noticed the entire back panel behind the water soaked in water. The total cost to get this issues repaired was 1,200. The second issue was a leak in the chimney. I contacted three chimney companies to come out and do an inspection; all of the told me that the chimney had severe cracks and was currently failing requirements

Ken was very thorough, professional and on time. His report was so detailed and informative that even regular people like myself understood it. When we presented the report to the contractors for estimate and repair, they said that Ken’s report was so descriptive that it made their job much easier to access for repair.
