I managed my first construction site at 7 years old when my dad and I built a two story fort complete with kitchenette and a second story deck. That was when I fell in love with dwellings and I've spent the rest of my life in the study of them. As a matter of fact, all the photos on the site are from properties that I have remodeled.
I have been a builder, a buyer and a seller so I have an understanding of each party in relation to the other. My priority is to learn as much about your property as I can and to translate it into a knowledge base that you can understand and feel at ease with.

Amanda is not only the best home inspector you could possibly work with (for all the reasons you'd care about), but she makes the whole process fun and easy as well. She goes out of her way to explain everything to you, connects you with the best folks in the business for any potential repairs, and she is just a joy to work with. I couldn't be happier. Her reports are color coded, easy to understand, come with detailed pictures and explanations that just make sense. We are so grateful!

Amanda was fabulous! We're first time home buyers and after the inspection, she walked me through everything. Her post-inspection report was extremely detailed, highlighting the immediate concerns and mapping out a "five year plan" for the rest of the minor repairs. I appreciated her knowledge AND sense of humor. Couldn't recomend Amanda more!

Amanda with True Home Inspections was worth 50 times her fee.
I mean that in literal terms of dollars we recovered as part of our vintage home buying. It's harder to assign value to the exemplary wisdom and experience she brought with her inspection and reporting but I am extremely appreciative of those features as well.
The report we received was easy to navigate, very thorough, and digestible in terms of prioritizing work for our new home. She has served as a resource to understand details of the report as well as assisting us move forward with contracting work and planning our regular home

We hired Marissa at True Home Inspections to perform an inspection of a condo unit we are buying. We had a limited time within which to have the inspection completed, but Marissa was able to conduct a thorough inspection of the home in a timely manner. Home buying can be an incredibly stressful process filled with twist and turns. The last thing you want is to end up purchasing somethings with a lot of unexpected issues and costs. Holy smokes Amanda a gem. We flew in from out of state for our inspection, as first time home buyers nerves around the 115 year old home's inspection ran high. At the end of the inspection Amanda ran us through all the major things for us to consider, and walked us through the home to show us what she could and even took the time to discuss the renovations we are homing to make.
