Services
To me, movement means freedom. Freedom to do the activities I love outside and inside, freedom from chronic pain, and freedom to learn and experience life through all my senses. Physical movement is simply the start of a cascade. Once your body begins to move more, your brain begins to sparkle more, you begin to see more joy in daily life, which affects your relationship with your community, which creates changes in other parts of your life.
How would your life be different if your hypermobile body could get stronger and move with joy? In these workshops, we teach you - the bendy-bodied human - how to stabilize your body through thoughtful, controlled movement that progressively builds strength and promotes ease along with the ability to move in more of the ways you want.
Group classes are live online sessions where we move the spine in all directions, and keep a feeling of flow and fun throughout. Classes are targerted to people with hypermobility syndromes and use small props to add challenge/support. Props can be hand weights, towels, pillows, a chair, canned goods or balls, etc.
For some class series, we DO record the live class and send it to each person registered. Only the instructor will be on the recording that's sent out - any audio or video that shows students is edited out. All registrants will receive recordings of the education and movement experience segments of the class.
Private sessions are your opportunity to learn Pilates and move efficiently in a way that suits your body's needs best. Together, we'll figure out a path to build your strength and flexibility, or work on any other health goals you may have! I will definitely be back, because like all GOOD trainers should do - they SHOULD actually spot you, give you good information and help you with your workouts.

After two years of physical therapy for a rib injury brought on by my joint hypermobility, I was still in constant pain with an altered range of motion, and a new “normal” for gauging pain. As many chronic pain sufferers may relate, I was at my wit’s end having tried different things for treatment with no significant progress. My aquatic therapist recommended Pilates. Save for home exercise videos here and there, I knew nothing about it... thankfully, I discovered that Pilates fairies lived on Yelp! I now realize how amazing and essential Pilates truly is. I tried Pilates for the first time with Nicole and she always made me feel comfortable every step of the way. I could tell that she really cares about the health and well being of her clients and strives to make their experience as positive as possible. The great thing about Nicole is that she uses vivid (and sometimes funny) visual descriptions that help me understand the moves better. After only a few sessions I can feel the improvement in my core.

December 10, 2014, is a day I will never forget. It was the day of my first serious wreck and the day my body changed forever! I played sports growing up and was extremely active in my day to day life so I thought my body would bounce right back after the wreck – oh, how wrong was I? I spent 10+ months in physical therapy and over a year later, I still deal with my hip being out of alignment and severe neck/back pain. I finally got cleared to start easing back into workouts so I began doing yoga again. I heard that Pilates was great for posture, alignment, and overall strength but I was too scared
