Having over 15 years of experience as an administrator in the luxury beauty industry, I began my salon career in the heart of Chicago working with the industry's top talent and most savvy clientele. For a young European girl, this was a fantastic eye-opening experience.
After I spent five years traveling in Europe and acquiring some fine technical styling skills, I returned to my favorite City Chicago with the determination to start something that I call my own.Gold Coast Salon opened its doors in 2018. Whether working on extensions or creating a sandy blond or rich, glossy color, keeping the hair shiny and healthy is what's most important to me.

We have a confession. We are absolutely dedicated to the process of creating perfect looks for our clients! Everyday we wake up so thankful that we're fortunate enough to do something we absolutely love for a living. We are Type A perfectionist, and genuinely invested in every guest's happiness and amazing experience.
As Color Experts we understand that color choices can be confusing to a new client or to an existent client who has a maintenance schedule that requires alternating Color Services. Wish you could speak the Hair Language fluently? We will need extra time for a thorough consultation and proper time to create your new stunning look!
Your experience begins when you make your appointment using the online booking system (HERE). It's quick and easy and you can book 24/7! When you arrive at the salon we will be there to greet you, and your service will begin with an in-depth consultation! During this time we will create a unique, customized plan specially for you, that not only covers your first visit, but also a long-term plan to ensure that all of your hair goals are met!
We are currently looking for a talented Stylist to join our beauty team! Our culture is creative, inspired and most of all we love having a great time every single day! This position is great for somebody happy to be working as little or as much as 40 hours/per week and fully committed to creating a flawless guest experience.

Every time I visit this place I leave happier :) I always book my apt with Julie she has been my hair stylist/therapist (lol) for a while now and every time she gets exactly what I want to do with my hair! I recommend her for complete transformations and even if you are not sure what exactly it is that you want just ask her she is pretty good at suggesting new styles based on your personal style! With only a few days to go before my rehearsal dinner downtown, I realized that I wanted to have my hair blown out. The reviews here looked good, so I went ahead and booked an appointment.
The salon is elegant without being stuffy. It is small but doesn't feel too crowded either. From the beginning, they offered me sparkling water, which I happily accepted and drank quickly (I am addicted to sparkling water/seltzer!). I wish the woman who shampooed my hair was a bit gentler, though she was nice enough. There was just a lot of tugging, and I think the conditioner could have been better at

I'm EXTREMELY picky about who I let handle my hair, & if I'm being completely honest, I've never been in love with any of my past cuts or styling--until today. Julie is thorough, detailed & totally "understood the assignment." After an in depth consult, she took my requests (& long hair!) & totally NAILED IT. Not to mention, she's smart & knows how to market herself. I'm pleased to say I will absolutely be a part of Julie's clientele & am already looking forward to my next appointment with her. Salon and Team. My daughter recently had a downtown Chicago wedding, and five team members from Ina‘s crew did a most amazing job with our hair and make up (10 of us !).
Natasha coordinated it all with full attention to our details so we would stay calm snd in our hotel on this important day. I recommend Gold Coast Salon highly.

I was in desperate need of a post COVID glow up and was looking for a salon that worked well with blondes. That's when I happened to come across Gold Coast Salon's IG page and photos of their work. I chose Julie as my stylist and could not be happier with the results (I have shared my before and afters so you can see the difference too). I had an appointment today with Julie. I have been looking for my new go - to salon after growing apart from my previous one and I think I've found it! The atmosphere was great. I was greeted immediately. The place was so cute, chic and clean. Julie was incredible! She listened to my concerns and what I was leaning towards in terms of my look. I walked out feeling amazing. I had an incredible experience from start to finish. As part of their COVID-19 precautions, they take your temperature as you enter and disinfect surfaces and equipment after use. This made me comfortable and safe. The salon itself is impeccably bright, clean and elegant. Julie, my stylist, is extremely talented. She is very professional, and she gave great recommendations when it came to style and color. She always had my comfort in mind, and walked me through the entire process. Julie is the sweetest and most knowledgeable in the hair game! I have been to many stylist/colorist but she is the only one who has exceeded my expectations. For the past 5-6 years, she has been the ONLY person I trust with my hair.
My hair was almost black when I first met Julie and I have been doing highlights/balayage all over. I asked for a high contrast look and the number one thing to consider is the damage. She's made the transition to going blonde effortless for years! My hair looks amazing all year round thanks to Julie, and above all, still very healthy! Highly recommend.

Other salons should take notes. I recently came here to darken my blonde balyage and had the pleasure of meeting the woman who owned the salon. She did my color and I loved the results. She took a lot of time to ask questions and make sure we had the same idea in mind. Beyond that, she was incredibly genuine and treated me like a close friend, not just a paying customer. I have gone to other luxury Gold Coast salons, but the experiences were never as relaxing. I always felt rushed and that they were trying to hurry me out the door to get another client in. What really stands out here was the service provided by Candice and the owner marking me feel so welcomed.
Candice offered me coffee or water upon starting my service.
I was very excited when she told me they have a nespresso machine!! She even presented the coffee on a plate with a cookie.
