I’ve been going to Edit for a while now for my color and cuts and I can’t stress enough how professional and friendly the staff here is. Everyone is always so welcoming and accommodating, and the stylists and colorists do a great job. I’ve been going to Michelle for years now for my color and she’s spectacular! Go here!

I want to cut my hair and at the same time colored it. So I planned to come here. Staff greet me a nice way and ask me what I want. I told to her that I want to cut my hair short then colored it after with a color of ash gray. She lead me the way to sit in the chair. First she cut my hair then blower it. Shes too careful to blower it. Then trim the edge part of my hair. After that she colored my hair. First she bleach it then colored it with ash gray. Im not getting board since we talk to each other. They also have a free access of wifi. After an hour she wash my hair then shampoo it. She too good

If you want a McDonald's/fast food type hair experience, this place is for you! If you'd like a personalized experience where the people touching you actually engage with you, I'd probably find another location.

I've been going here for years and I still don't think a single person remembers me or knows my name - & that's totally fine! My issue is mainly regarding the last time I went in. I had to schedule my hair cut and color on two separate days, which this is the second time this has been recommended to me since Oct so I assumed it's because of COVID

Best haircut I have had in years. Lenee took a vague statement about wanting layers and a little bit of framing around my face and gave me what is almost an effortless hairdo. I have thick wavy hair that I wear straight, curly, wavy and up at different times which is a lot to ask of hair. Lenee understood that within minutes of seeing and working with my hair. Jessica cut my hair yesterday into a short jaw length bob (something I was a bit nervous for but trying not to show it) and she did it perfectly!! It was just how my reference picture looked and I have never loved my hair more. She also has such a sweet presence. Greatest hair experience I have had in a while!!

I had a horrible experience here. Very unprofessional receptionist and a stylist. I was a new client and asked for a consultation but the receptionist said it was not necessary. Instead, she requested multiple pictures of my hair and picture of what I wanted my hair to look like. I also explained her in detail what my expectations were. I arrive 15 minutes earlier before my appointment, since I knew we had no constultation before and just in case she wanted to chat, nobody came out before 5 pm (my app time), which is fine. I'm a guy with medium lenght hair. I used to have it really short but since I let it grew it has been difficult to find a person who can really cut it well. I found Edit Salon and Pat online and I gave them a try because of the reviews and I'm glad I did. Pat is very meticulous in his art and I am really happy with the results. I will keep going there for sure.

Michelle did an AMAZING job on my full balayage! I would recommend her to anyone considering getting balayage. She did a great job of setting expectations on the process and resulting color. I couldn't be happier with the results, and I love how natural and low maintenance the style is! I will definitely come back to Michelle again! :D I also picked up the Davines curl shampoo, LOVE conditioner, and curl cream, which I'm loving!

I have been switching stylists for years now. Trying to find someone who could figure out how to cut out my thick, partially wavy hair, in a way that didn’t require lots of effort to style in my own (even though I want it to look like it did!). Patrick nailed it where so many others had failed. He is unpretentious, super nice and truly talented!

When I decided to cut my hair short I did some heavy googling and yelping and this was the place that I thought I could trust.... & I was right.

I've seen some of the ladies do color and whenever I decide to do that I'll definitely go with them as well.

As far as dye jobs go, this one is pretty disappointing. I asked to go up one level but left with chunky highlights way too light for the rest of my hair. I was about 10 minutes late, so my stylist took another client and the intern washed my hair, but the stylist never spoke to me again. Not to check on me to see if I was happy with the color, not to say thank you or goodbye, nada. Just a weird experience.

Absolutely love this place but most importantly my hair stylist Samantha! She brought my hair back to life with a same but different look! She took her time in making sure I was happy with the results! Kept my length too! 10/10 would recommend to book with her! Plus the soft curls she left me with were absolutely stunning!

I was forced to find a salon just as covid restrictions were lifting. I was very nervous, as my previous person had given me the hair I always wanted.
I am so lucky a friend recommended Michelle for color and Katie for a cut. I love the color and cuts I have gotten with them.
Plus I really enjoy my time at the salon. Everyone is extremely friendly.

I had a terrible experience at another salon for a haircut. I called this salon and Patrick (the owner) was able to squeeze me in for a correction. He gave me an incredible bob. I’ve never been so thrilled with the haircut. I feel so cool! To top it off, he had me donate the price of the haircut to a charity of his choice. I love this place!

Great cut, wonderful people. Patrick gave me a cut so fantastic that it grew out and still looked great. I went back and this is now my favorite place. Love talking to him about music and rockumentaries. My next venture there is to have my color done next week. The salon is cool and edgy. They are careful with mask wearing and hand gel. There is plenty of space between chairs. Extra plus - easy parking outside along the street. Grateful to have met Patrick - he is excellent and a nice guy!

You will never get a better haircut than with Patrick. He is highly skilled and fun to talk to.

And finally, I got to see Samantha once for a blowout and it was absolutely perfect. Seriously.

I've been going to Patrick now for 6ish years. Not a single bad haircut! He's so talented with effortless razor cuts. He is absolutely worth every penny! I cannot recommend him enough. He is the hairstylists hairstylist!

I read all the reviews and was so excited to finally get my hair done after being inside for so long. I asked for a dark chocolate color.....i got BLACK!! This is the darkest my hair has ever been and not what I wanted at all. NOT only that, but the colorist did NOT check on my after my wash. How upsetting, not even a follow-up on the hair color.

Also, you dont get a blowdry with color because of capacity issues (even though they still blowdry for haircuts). So you need to leave with a wet head in winter. Luckily the assistant helped me blowdry in between shampoos.

So happy to have this salon in my neighborhood. I’ve been coming here for a few years now. Pat always does an amazing job with my cut, and Allison is really a balayage queen. She did such an amazing job with blending that allowed my hair to grow out naturally all through COVID still looking great. Also spot on cut and color for my wedding from this talented duo. The rest of the team is always friendly and every client looks happy and amazing walking out! LaRae is so helpful with scheduling too! Always a pleasure interacting with this crew.

Shana is the best! I just moved to CHI from STL. I've had the same stylist for 10 years, and I have very thick and wavy hair and a very unique hair color, so it's tough to find people who can cut and color it the way I like.

After multiple google searches and word of mouth, I decided to use Edit. I also was looking for a place to remove my extensions, so I filled out an online form. Not only did they respond right away, but she even suggested a salon that could remove my beaded row extensions. I booked with Pat for hair and Shana for color.
