Only parking for hotel was valet. Other near by parking is public parking but is close. They only had instant coffee in the room and no coffee in the lobby. The coffee shop / bakery that they have is closed on the weekends. Starbucks in a few blocks away.
The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean. The first room we were in was a one person room ... With two of us and our luggage we didn't have room to get around so we asked the front desk for a bigger room and they quickly put us in a bigger room and helped us with our bags. The location is great and walking distance to multiple bars and restaurants

This inn is a jewel! Awesome area, extensive rooms, free bites, and above all, astonishing help. My whole involvement with this lodging was extraordinary. The room was largely spotless, and the restroom was perfect too. The view from up above was stunning. I can see the whole city. The city lights around evening time were interesting.

It was a great pleasure to have stayed in this hotel for three days. This hotel and its staff are everything I had wished for. Everyone and everything was absolutely perfect and exceptional. I have really enjoyed the laid back feelings at the pool. I had a great time and never had a bad meal. Highly recommended!

Small boutique hotel on the fringes of gentrified DTLA. Not close to much. The Bradbury grand market and a trendy bar are very close but check out the redwood bar live LA music every night.

Housekeeping stole my portable electric kettle. Took them 3 days to get back to me after calling them every day. They said they never saw it or found anything. There was another guest in that same room in the 3 days I called. I told them why would a guest take an appliance from the room they booked and think they would get away with it?? No Sherlock Holmes needed here. Lost and found?…more like they find it and they keep it! The staff were no help and mostly rude. Also, the sink faucet in the bathroom spun freely around and around like a helicopter with no hot water coming out. Never will I stay

Great service, very accommodating staff, clean; but mostly it's value is in the relatively inexpensive location which is near to the Catholic Cathedral, Angel Flight, Disney Hall, etc. and a block away is Grand Central Market, which is a fantastic place to eat almost every kind of food. [Beware that parking your car there is $40 a night.] Main drawback: rooms (which I was told are all alike) is as big as a postage stamp.

Staff retaliated against me for letting them know I found a live bed bug after being bitten and getting a rash all over my body about three hours after I went to bed.

File a complaint LA County Health Department if you have also experienced bed bugs with this hotel. This is the best action for ensuring that the issue gets addressed.

After discovering and capturing a live bed bug--the most likely the cause of my rash (which later subsided, leaving only telltale bite marks many hours later)--they moved me to a new room. I immediately captured another live insect there too (which appears to be a

DO NOT STAY HERE. THEY WILL KICK YOU OUT OF YOUR PAID ROOM, CONFISCATE YOUR MEDICINE ILLEGALLY AND ASK FOR ANOTHER CREDIT CARD TO PAY.

I booked four hotel rooms. They kicked us out of them on the last night because they made a mistake at check in and put us in the room only booked for 2 nights and not three. They illegally stole my friends medicine and kept it in "housekeeping" until the morning after kicking her out of her PAID room because of THEIR MISTAKE.

They conned the credit card company into the charges. This is a SCAM and DANGEROUS PLACE. DO NOT STAY. YOU ARE NOT SAFE HERE

I had stayed at this hotel many times before and didn't have an issue, up until recently. I had put the "quiet please" sign on the door prior to heading out for lunch (which in most hotels means do not disturb, please). When I came back, my belongings were rearranged and it was clear someone had been in there. I called the front desk, and they informed me they could not help and gave me the number to the hotel manager. He was not working over the weekend, and returned my call this morning with the worst attitude you could imagine. Upon answering, I explained what happened, and to

They refused to give me my deposit back. The manager Mr. Marco finally called me after 3 calls, didn't let me speak, went on a tirade that I smoked cigarettes in the room, that's why I wasn't getting my deposit back, and then hung up. I don't smoke cigarettes. The supervisor before him told me it was that the popcorn we had cooked in the microwave burned the microwave so bad that they had to get a new one. A few hours before we left the hotel my son did burn the popcorn. We even took pictures and told the clerk on duty at checkout. He said no problem. No way popping popcorn

Staff was excellent, everyone was really friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and I felt safe. Building is older so you need to expect some building imperfections but overall it was nicely updated. I accidentally left my iWatch and charger in the room when I checked out and the hotel staff found it quickly and was able to mail it to my home address in Michigan! They are amazing, I will say here again when we return to visit family.
Thank you Kawada Hotel!

Do not recommend this hotel to anyone!
Rooms are stuffy and smell weird since windows don't open. There was also 2 cockroaches that I killed with my shoes. One is probably still Stuck on the wall. And I left an item in the room in a specific spot and when I called back the regular staff wasn't of any help and had to wait until Monday to speak to the maintenance manager to see if they had found it. They did not.
I'm sure they found it and kept it since it was very valuable jewelry. The manager whom I believe is named John called me back and yelled at me saying " don't

Kawada? More like Hotel Rwanda! This place is sketchy! Honestly, the housekeeping is great but the management is terrible. Safety standards? Nonexistent. Elevator permits? 8 plus months expired. Not safe at all. Option to take the stairs? In your dreams. Honestly, their lack of building code enforcement is scary and I will definitely not be back. I would give 5 starts just for the housekeeping though; they were extremely kind and accommodating.

We were ecstatic to be living in such a tranquil and stress-relieving environment. We didn't have any regrets about coming here for a weekend getaway. This hotel should be recommended to my mates! The hotel is decently priced but shouldn't expect much from a two-star hotel. The pros to this hotel are:
-Cheap price
-A/C works exceptionally well.
- The cleaning staff are great.
-Near a lot of food options.
Cons to the hotel:
- Bedsheets were stained
- fire alarm did go off one night at 12am
- parking isn't included so you need park in one of the lots.
- the elevator is extremely slow and sometimes I needed to use stairs.

Awesome! I recommend bringing your own snacks the is no convenience store or liquor store nearby. I had a great experience it was a great price off "Expedia.com" If you want to sightsee LA and want a cheap CLEAN place stay here. Clean microwave, fridge coffee maker and Ice Bucket complimentary tea and coffee inside room. They have a cafe downstairs. There's two bars right outside next door. Entire room smells clean and fresh even the blanket on top was clean and fresh they provide body wash shampoo and blow dryer. There's a full length mirror and us girls need that. It was

Clean and quiet hotel located in the downtown Los Angeles area and therefore easily accessible via public transit as well as next to lots of restaurants and public attractions. The rooms smell nice and come equipped with a flat screen tv with lots of channels, free WiFi, telephone, a microwave, a mini fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, clothing rack, digital alarm clock, body wash and shampoo dispensers. Staying here feels like staying in a studio apartment rather than a hotel.

The only downsides of staying here is that they charge a $100 room deposit at check in. The rooms are tiny and the queen

This hotel was very deceiving. The walls had stains., The bed was stained, the pillowcases had stains, and the room smelled like smoke. For the price that I paid I would expect something to be cleaned entirely. And I would expect the bathroom to not have stains on the towels and the floor have dirt on it. It was way too expensive for a subpar hotel and the customer service wasn't that great either. The walls are superthin I heard everything and when I say everything I mean that. They said that they remodeled the hotel and that the rooms were completely redone but mine was not everything in

The walls really are paper thin here. I was able to hear neighboring rooms conversations easily. The beds are small - single sized beds (not full) and at 5'5" I fit from head to toe, anyone taller will have their feet hanging off the bed. The rooms are small but clean. Elevators a bit slow. An extremely loud alarm went off 3x during our stay, scaring us out of our sleep. We got conflicting stories from 2 different employees. I can't recommend this place in good conscience.

For not having a kitchen or any food options in the hotel, that makes me give it a 4. Other than that, it's been great thus far. It doesn't smell bad. The service was quick and easy. The price was fair. The internet-connected easy. There are a few restaurants and bar very nearby. No complaints here.

I would stay here again If I stayed downtown Los Angeles.

This hotel was not too bad, especially for the price. I honestly did not expect much so I was not that disappointed. To be quite frank, I just came back from a two month trip through Eastern Europe the Kwanda Hotel was about the same as a decent hotel there. It is all about perspective!

The location is good as it is walking distance from a lot of restaurants, the freeway and the Metro. The front lobby is quite updated and modern but the hotel staff was okay. Meaning that I had one friendly person and another who was quite rude to me, so that equals out to average!

My room was small but it was

I'm never coming back here again. I thought we should give it a try because they newly renovated it. Even then, I was very disappointed by the room.

Service: they're not the best people you wanna deal with. It seems they go by script and are not enforced to go above and beyond for guests. I needed water, but their vending machine was sold out of that. I asked the lobby if they could refill it or if there was anything in stock for guests but I was told that I needed to go to Grand Center Market which was a block away.

The bedroom was nice in design if it was my best friend that I&apos
